Good and relaxing

The hotel staff at the 5-star hotel was not as friendly as expected, and the food was average with the same flavor every day. I won't be returning.

Excellent service, everything is ok

Beautiful resort! We upgraded to the Level Beach Side room with butler service! Yamel was AWESOME!! The upgrade was worth it and Yamel took care of all our needs from dinner reservations to decorating our room for our bday celebration. We would definitely go back. Only gave 4 stars because the resort has personnel walking around trying to get you to do a timeshare/membership tour. We just wanted to relax so this was a little annoying. The food was also middle of the road. I ate an omelette everyday for breakfast and the tempiyaki station was the best! Overall we enjoyed ourselves!

The staff were incredible definitely left a stamp on me and I will be coming back again! Had an amazing experience from the beginning to end of my visit. Bartenders by the pool Radalis & Maribel will definitely take care of you! Recommend 10/10 my first time in Punta Cana

The buffet restaurant was rather disappointing, same cut of meat every single night (picanha), cold dishes were not cold, like the red wine, room temperature (30 celsius-90 farengheit). Fish like grouper (mero) is not filet but cut transversally, great for fighting bones all night long. There was a restaurant that was good, Mar de Sal, recommended. In it teo servers were hreat, Meibi and Moises, best experience when it came to food. Aquatic sports like paddle boarding, kayaking and katamaran have always been included inthese resorts, however the Catamaran had a $50 training fee even though Ive been doing it for decades, first time this happens. Overall the hotel was nice, but food was dissatisfying.

This was my 11th time to Dominican Republic and FIRST time at Melia. If I knew how great this place was before I would have been here a long time ago. I know that there are many all-inclusives but this was by far the BEST. Service was top-notch even before my arrival. From emails asking if I needed anything like transportation, recommendations and ensuring there would be no problem with my partner arriving (some places have been slightly rude/offensive to a Dominican visiting resorts in the past) and this was definitely NOT the case this time. We felt welcome and VERY catered to through out the entire trip. There was entertainment, a beautiful gift shop, the spa and not to mention GREAT food to try at every corner. The beach was PRESTINE and always cleaned every morning. I cannot stop talking to my friends and family about how great it was here and I already want to go back so bad. This place was really paradise. I tipped when I received above and beyond service and didnt feel pressured if I didnt. The rooms were beautiful, the AC was nice and COLD during the summer and the rooms were immaculately clean. Any service that was offered I made sure to try and was never disappointed. I even cancelled my excursion because the resort literally had everything I could need or want. The price was also very good and I have paid more money for a less enjoyable experience.
