Staff excellent. The property is beautiful. The ocean view excellence club room was very moist and not a 5 star and is dated and needs updated, ac was not the greatest and the room was musty and smelled mildew moldy, tv had very few channels, very nice view, food and variety of restaurants was great. Didn't get the upgrade as gold Expedia member.

Our room smelled like mold for our 5 day stay and everyday it got worse. The food is terrible. My girlfriend and I tried every restaurant on the resort and honestly it was hard to look past how bad the food was. We had to inhale Chick-Fil-A and Cinnabon as soon as we landed in America. The best thing about the resort is the friendly staff and beautiful beach and the beautiful pool. The staff doesn’t speak great English but is very kind, accommodating, and willing to help.

Overall the resort was beautiful, clean, staff knew their guest and was very welcoming.

The facility staff was excellent but they were doing maintenance to the facility the entire time we were there. Our room had a lot of miles on it (bugs/nests on the walls, rusted shower head, broken patio door, dirty tub, our a/c went out for an entire day) things looked like they were just painted over, including the shower. I wouldn't say it is a five star facility, but it seems like they try to keep things maintained over time.

The sports bar rocks but needs more sports on tv.

Excellence has the friendliest and most helpful staff of any resort in the world we have been to. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, safe and truly indulged. The dining options are great and they even made me special meals at each establishment to fit my vegetarian diet. The property is impeccably clean and well taken care of. The eco park allows you to feed and interact with a variety of birds and other animals any day you choose. This is our favorite travel resort, and we will continue to go back each year as we are always impressed with the staff, rooms, restaurants and upscale feel to everything there.

The property, staff, & amenities were excellent. The honeymoon sweet was gorgeous & spacious. The balcony view over the property & to the water was breathtaking.

Rude staff, restaurant’s were low quality except for Chez Izabelle. Pool and amenities closed at 7 and so did most of the restaurant. There are about 10 restaurants there but most are closed until Dinner time.

Food was Excellent and the service was even better. The staff loves their jobs and treat you like Royalty. Yessica at the front desk, Robinson at the Magna, and Pedro who handled the luggage were all Awesome. We will Definately be back.

The property was very clean and beautiful. Some of the restaurants had some good food, but the breakfast and lunch was the same everyday at the main restaurant and was mediocre at best. Service at the main restaurant was not the best either...had to ask for a drink several times on several days. The entertainment was pretty poor overall compared to the other resorts we have visited. The circus act was worth watching and the silent disco was fun. The guys that helped with the entertainment were much better than the lady...the lady tried way to hard (very fake) and often resorted to twerking in order to get people to pay attention. Service when you check in/out was smooth and the people were very friendly in that office. Otherwise, service was fine, but not exceptional. We wanted to try somewhere new and we did, however, we won't be back. It was fine...but that is it. There are so many other places that we like better.

This was such an amazing stay and I would go back a million times if I could! The staff, the food, cleanliness, hospitality is all an 11/10. Best resort we have ever stayed at. Thank you so much!!!

We have been in DR many times in different resorts, but this was definitely the best experience so far. The resort is beautiful, the food is great, so many options to choose from and the staff takes care of the guests and goes above and beyond to make a memorable stay. I can't wait to return to this beautiful resort soon!

Amazing attention to detail and the food was amazing

Everything was great about our stay. All of the staff was very welcoming and amazing. Our favorites were Demarys, Rafael, and Yordy from The hibachi. Our only complaint was the smoking around the resort. It wasn’t pleasant sitting at the pool and inhaling other people’s cigarette smoke. There should be designated areas for that.

amazing and beautiful resort. It’s nice and quiet but at night time they host a lot of fun events so it’s definitely not boring. Food is amazing as well. Would definitely come back.

My wife and I love the Excellence resorts, mainly because they're the best best all-inclusive resorts for adults only. I will admit that some of the facilities are dated and the rooms are in disrepair in some areas, but the grounds are well kept and the pools are fantastic. Our room in the Excellence Club was nice and spacious but the shower was in need of serious repair. No mold, but they need to fix the rain shower as it was leaking above the ceiling. The rooms are very humid, but AC units in their rooms certainly work as the room was cold. The food is hit or miss to be honest. The restaurant that that should be incredible was not but the run of the mill or basic places were great. Magna and Lobster House were disappointing. The breakfast at Magna left a lot to be desired, were the dinner was just ok. Lobster House was was an all around disappointing experience. The food was overcooked, the lobster was like rubber. We didn't go to Spice as there was no reservations available and Agave as we didn't want to eat Mexican food in the Dominican Republic. The Grill is very good. The Grill was top shelf, and by far the best of the trip. The food was great and the service was exactly what we expected from the Excellence Resorts. The two gentlemen serving us were very nice and professional. The Kitchen Tab had a good variety of food and was clean. Very easy to get a seat. The Blue Pool bar and the Excellence Club are the only great bars for drinks, the rest were not good

Everyone is working hard to make sure everything was perfect It was a great time

This was our first time staying here, I have to say I’m most impressed by the warmth of the workers, every one being attentive and going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The food was great at every restaurant, the 24 hr room service is fantastic and fast. It’s a beautiful relaxing resort. If there is one thing I would like To see next time is that they have more events by the pool, more entertainment and music. I enjoyed the international show a lot! Thank you for the hospitality, would definitely recommend!!! I really felt like I was on vacation!!! Oh! The spa is a must! 👌

It was very quiet and convenient to reach every places such restaurant, beach and pools

We had a wonderful stay at Excellence Punta Cana. The staff was so friendly at every area. There were plenty of dining options and the food was good, especially at Spice and Magna. The pool area was kept nice and clean. The only negative was the ocean water was choppy the whole time and we couldn’t do any of the water activities like kayaking but that’s probably due to the location and season. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
