I found the front desk & a tech that visited our room to be awful. They lack appropriate/ basic customer service skills. Example: Tech showed and his first words what is the problem - no hello, how are you, etc. The Front Desk asked for items but gave no explanation as to why?

Great location if you’re here for the theater & proximity to good food. Room was comfortable, but only room for 1 desk chair and the bed. Nice bathroom. Good breakfast room included in price, but crowded. Compared to other nearby hotels, a good value for the price, with exceptional service.

The hotel is new and modern. I had a problem with my shower door (a big glass door that was crashing) what could be dangerous and I tryed to alert the staff for others guests, bui I didn´t feel they really listened to me. I aldo payed for a delayed check out and 1 min after the time to leave (I was just leaving the room) a staff member was knoking on my door. That situation could be solved with a phone call because it was really unconfortable. They also offer many "upgrades" to be more confortable and the real amount that you are going to pay is not clear during the reservation. It would not be a problem if the quality of the service followed the final price. Good Breakfast. Excellent location.

Gorgeous hotel. The scaey Halloween decor put a damper on the experience. You can decorate for Halloween in a classy way that fits with the hotels decor. Breakfast buffet was average. Housekeeping response was slow or nonexistent. Asked for a blanket. Never came.

Great location. Breakfast was manic but a lot of choice and good quality. Beds comfortable. We had a room on the 26th floor. The view was fabulous and it was very quiet.

Convenient and well situated close to Times Square and Theater District. Staff were helpful and friendly. However one thing that let’s the hotel down is their cafeteria style breakfast, we got eggshells in our eggs (3 large pieces).

Looking for a warm reception in NYC? Look no further than Hotel Riu Plaza! Everyone was so welcoming and kind and they even checked me in early (which was not expected but so great). Room was beautifully decorated, clean, and quiet. I did not have time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast but it looked delightful. Super close walk to theater and Penn Station. Would definitely stay again.

Positive: - Location, short walking distance to everything (Times Square, Central Park, Subway, Broadway, Penn St. etc.). - The staff was superb, really nice and helpful. - Good breakfast with lots of healthy alternatives. - Ok, gym. - Good beds. - No carpets on the floor. Negative: - Noisy rooms, you hear traffic (18th level), people talking in the hall, doors slaming. All in all not very good sound isolation. - For some reason the walls to the bathroom are made from frosted glass, so if someone goes to the toilet during the night, it lightens up the entire hotelroom! - Sliding door to the bathroom, aka you hear what ever is going on…

Great location.. walkability to all manhattan places ie Times Square, broadway shows, Madison Square Garde etc.. Staff is great, friendly, knowledgeable and profesdionsl

No coffee machine. Who doesn’t need coffee in the morning?

Brilliant hotel, location is fantastic. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be better but still ok. The only downside is at least one (sometimes four of five) of the lifts are out of service. Not great with so many people in the hotel.

This is the first hotel in the world where I couldn’t get fried eggs for breakfast, and I have stayed at many. For that reason, I will not return. Everything else, especially the staff, was excellent. Regards Göran

Have loved both of our stays here, but we had one noise incident on this last stay. Some workers were fixing something near our room and were incredibly loud- yelling down the hall and slamming doors. We told management twice about, and they said they would investigate and get back to us, but never did. We were very surprised, since this is such a conscientious hotel

Breakfast at this hotel is no go…. It is a mess, crowded and with a very limited choice of e.g. fruits, bread ….

Rooms are pitifully small for the price. Location is great for theatre district. Public transport further away than most however.

Another great stay at Riu Times Square. Great location, excellent service.

The location was amazing, right in the heart of everything. We were very impressed by the standard of the room, especially the bathroom which was fantasitc ( apart from the hairdryer). The Grab & Go was wonderful,& the bar a welcome refuge at the end of a long day. The staff were very helpful, especially the bell boys. The best feature was the wonderful buffet breakfast which set us up every morning for a day sightseeing. The staff did a brilliant job to manage the numbers of guests at busy times.

The hotel overall is pretty and chic but the service experience is way below expectation, the buffet staff are the friendliest and rudest one is the front desk. No smile common, no greetings and the tone is just not ok

Great location, with especially helpful front desk team who went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and accommodate early arrivals. I would highly recommend for work and leisure travelers, based on quality of accommodations, access to transit options in Manhattan, including walking distance to Penn Station, and unusually generous included breakfast in a pleasant surroundings.
