For the amount of money it was to stay here I dont recommend. They say VIP but I never felt VIP. Woke up everyday sweating from how hot the room was, the fridge did not cool the beverages. After showering the room would flood with water. Not many things to do. Beach was nasty full of algae. Very unsatisfied.

Beautiful property, loved the swim up outside the room and the water park, main pool and kids area. I wished the taco truck had other options besides just chicken tacos. Music at the pool was so so unless your into hard rock and salsa. Food was good for me but my kids didn’t enjoy it too much, ice cream was a hit! I highly recommend the steak house and hibachi. Drinks were great and they had a bar everywhere! If they improved the music quality at the pool with reggaeton and hip hop I would go back!

Pros- very clean, friendly entertainment staff, nice rooms, variety of restaurants with good food, water park, 2-3 decent evening shows. Cons- kids club not at all as advertised, buffet food is terrible- worst of any all inclusive we have been to, 0 entertainment for kids over the age of 5, “Queen” beds are doubles, a lot of staff is rude, bartenders ignore you unless you’re tipping high (takes FOREVER to get a drink, very slow) Resort is great for couples, adults, or families with very young children. A common complaint heard around the resort was the lack of things to do for older kids.

I had an amazing stay at this resort. This is hands down the best place I have been to and vacation. It is absolutely beautiful there. It was almost surreal. Javier was my concierge. He did an amazing job from the beginning to the end. He accommodated everything that I needed and asked for. Javier is a really great addition to the resort. He is a really good person. I also met a friend named diamond. He was very welcoming and nice to me since I met him. He was very entertaining for all the guests and very welcoming. We had a great time dancing and playing the pool throughout my stay. He is also a really good person. I owe DR nothing. Thank you for the amazing stay!

We had a swim up and was very convenient. Lots of activities. Only thing was difficult to get attention for drinks in the pool.

My mom and I visited Dreams from July 5 - 10th. Pool was nice. Lazy river was fantastic but def did not have enough single tubes. We ate at the buffet for breakfast, which had plently of options. Even an omelet station which was great. We ate at the steakhouse twice which was delicious. The french, italian, and asian was good. The grill for lunch was good just could have been closer to the pool area. The beach was awesome the first two days we were there but then the others the seaweed started coming. Abraham was our waiter by the pool and he was awesome. We never sat with an empty cup. The entertainment could have been alot better. My mom went to yoga every morning and the instructor didnt show up one time. Puti Tain (entertainment guy) taught the class one time. One of the night shows act didnt even show up one night. The entertainment team except for Puti Tain and Francisco could be fired. They were terrible. I scheduled a massage at Tropical Treasure through Whatsapp when I arrived at the resort. OMG. I highly recommend that place. A 90minute massage for $55.00. It was a 15minute walk from Dreams on the beach and I am a very slow walker. They also have souvenirs if you have to bring something back. I didnt bring bug spray or damp aid, which was a mistake. I definitely recommend doing that.

We recently had an 8-day stay at Dreams Onyx, and we were thoroughly impressed with the resort and its staff. While the resort is smaller and somewhat outdated compared to others, it is well-maintained and offers a unique and special experience. The staff at Dreams Onyx truly made our stay exceptional. Our butler, Leonard, was particularly attentive and responsive to our needs, ensuring that all of our requests were met promptly and efficiently. Julio, in the preferred lounge, quickly learned our drink preferences and had them ready for us as soon as we entered the lounge. Frankin and all the restaurant staff we encountered were exceptional. However, at the preferred family pool it was Castillo, Juan, Abraham, Randy, and Corpus who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their exceptional service and dedication to our comfort and enjoyment were unparalleled. They are a credit to the resort and the reason we will definitely be returning in the future.

My overall experience was ok. Unfortunately, I would not stay at this resort again. At first glance, it looks luxurious but upon further inspection the resort needs serious repairs. The bathrooms were dirty and there was a smell of mold/mildew. Some toilets did not flush. There was green sludge flowing into the water by the adult pool. There were workers in the pool applying some sort of chemical that needed gloves while we were in the pool. Bottled water was not offered at every restaurant at the resort. My overall stay was okay because of me being with family which made it enjoyable.

AC didn’t work for two days in our room. We switched rooms twice with no help from the staff.

I loved this hotel and the people were very friendly and accommodating. The entertainment factor exceeded my expectations. The water park was a lot of fun and looks amazing.The best part is that you get access to Breathless, which is adults only, and the parties are pretty awesome there. However. My son is autistic and we had a very rough first day, not their fault, but our butler, Javier, made sure that our stay was perfect after that. His service and attentiveness exceeded my expectations. The Buffett was okay but the restaurants were pretty good. I will definitely be back to Dreams Onyx.

Second time there! Love it

Went with 10 other family members age 60-8, and everyone had an amazing time. Plenty to do for all ages, food was good for an all inclusive. Beach was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great time at Dreams onyx. Our room was in one of the newer buildings and was in good condition. Everything was very clean. The property has great landscaping and is well maintained. Restaurants were good - you have to know that food at an all inclusive is usually not going to be top notch but even so this was one of the better food experiences. The buffet was best at lunch, but I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. The one true negative was restaurant management. Checking in to restaurants was needlessly chaotic at times with hosts seemingly unsure what to do. We did use the app to make a reservation at the hibachi restaurant and apparently that doesn't work. Luckily they sat us anyway, but definitely an area to improve. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. Joel at the lobby bar was the best!!

We have had a great experience and our biggest asset throughout our stay was our savior Javier, he guided plus throughout and helped us make all the arrangements needed to have the best time while on vacation!!!

My stay at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa was amazing. The whole resort is beautiful and the staff was very attentive. Shout out to Javier who made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my vacation. I am already looking to return to this resort before the year ends.

The hotel was excellent. From the moment we arrived, the check-in experience with Yeuri at the front desk was over the top. A shout out to our concierge Javier who helped us with our needs and making the restaurant reservation. Both of them very very attentive. The bartenders at the preferred pool were also great and made the best frozen margaritas.

Housekeeping was inconsistent. Always had to request towels. All the other staff really went above and beyond. Food took a little getting used to, very different. Easy walking access to amenities and beach. Jetblue flights were on time and arrivals were early. Easily rate at a 9 out of 10

Property was very well taken care of. Rooms were very clean and modern. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Only reason for a 4 and not a 5, was the buffett options. Breakfast was great, dinner had lots of options with restaurants on the results which were great. Wish lunch had more options on the buffett such as seafood or meats, salad and fruit options were great. Overall would go back and recommend
