Amazing central location in the heart of the Commercial District. Very easy check in with codes provided on the day. Modern apartment with full kitchen facilities, including a washing machine. There were dishcloths, tea towels and washing up liquid. Comfortable living area with TV. Very clean and tidy. Only suggestion would be some softer lighting and a washing up bowl. Only 'quirk' is that the bathroom (which is very clean and modern) is all saniflow, so the macerator repeatedly rumbles while you're having a wash/shower, so can be quite noisy. Not an issue, but it is on a main street with lots of bars and restaurants, so it's not a quiet area. Early deliveries in the morning, but that's only to be expected in such a prime location.

Loved the location, 10min from train station. Easy access to shopping, restaurants and docks.

My bedroom had a spot that looked like the paint was coming off the walls and there were scuffs on them throughout the unit as well. For me it didn’t detract from the experience, but I know for others it might.

Great property right in the centre of the city, very accessible with a lift. Unfortunately this meant that it was quite noisy at times, including at night. Very convenient however to all Liverpool has to offer.

Great location and very spacious. we were surprised that it had two bedrooms. Only downside was the wifi was very slow.

Only a quick stopover as football match rescheduled. All communication by email, prompt but impersonal. Good location , bit of a temperamental lift. Apartment good size and tidy. Would have probably been great had we stayed longer.

Having stayed at 42 Castle Street exactly two years ago and thoroughly enjoying our stay, we decided to repeat the experience this year but were left disappointed. Obviously fixtures & fittings deteriorate over time, however, that is not to say that they cannot be maintained. There were various issues with the flat ranging from a broken downlight (with exposed wiring) various broken lightbulbs, tatty stains on carpet, very bad damp in one of the bedrooms and filthy windows at the front & back of the property to name but a few. On one evening the fire alarm activated in one of the flats and it took over twenty minutes for a clearly inebriated 'manager' to attend before silencing the alarm without even attending the source of fire indicated on the panel. It isn't all doom & gloom however. 42 Castle Street has a fantastic situation being very closely located to all you could need for your break. It's just such a shame that it lacks planned maintenance to keep it in the order we found it two years previous.

Great location, great condition. Very strange that there wasn't a bedside light. If your lookin for a very nice and very clean apartment, close to Moorfields Station, St James Station, Pier Head and Mathew Street then book this Apartment. If you want a view from the windows then don't book.

Really good home from home experience, nothing in the property in terms of condiements if y ou were a family staying, but it has everything you would need for a kitchen. only slight issue is that flat 102, sufferers from a dripping sound throughout the night as the bedroom windows face an internal area that has a water issue in the top of the building, its a minor thing that was only a slight irritation. other than that I would highly recommend the property and have stayed there over 30 times.

Lighting was awful, no dim lights, only main super bright light. No tea/coffee sachets on arrival.

Lovely place, clean and central. Bed was too big for the room, could not close the bedroom door, and very awkward trying to hang clothes in the closet behind the bedroom door.

We stayed two nights at the hotel collection 42 castle street. Location is excellent, walking distance to everything. I found the hotel itself is dated. The Sani-pump is very annoying, every time you use the sink or the toilet it gives out a very loud grunting noise. There is no complimentary packages of coffee or tea. No paper towels. Two rolls of toilet paper per week. Shower does not drain well. I do like the warm towel rack. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and very well located for our visit to Liverpool. It had all of the facilities you would expect and need for a 5-night stay. Management was very responsive to our requests/inquiries. The washer/dryer unit was a plus. We had but one real complaint, which was the water pump which periodically made a short but loud noise as it cycled on then off. This happened most often when water was running in the bathroom, but also happened randomly when it was not, including through the night, and this could be quite disturbing, especially for a light sleeper. Management apologized, but said it was unavoidable (though not something we had ever experienced before in years of overseas travel). Also note that there is an individual hot water heater for each apartment, but it wasn't turned on when we arrived, and there were no instructions or mention of that on the check-in materials or anywhere in the apartment. Management responded very quickly to our complaint of "no hot water", but it was avoidable with adequate artival instructions.
