Three couples used the house as a 4-day getaway, and it suited our needs well with one exception (more on that in a moment). The house was clean and the renovation appears to have been nicely done. The yard and dock could use some upgrades, but were sufficient for our purposes. The kayaks were a big hit with our group, and one person fished every chance he got. We also enjoyed eating outside two nights. The property managers were very responsive when we let them know the plates were missing, and the coffee pot was on the fritz. They delivered replacements for both within an hour or two. (And it turns out, the coffee pot was user error; the basket has to be finagled to sit down far enough in the maker.) We were pleased with their communication with us. Unfortunately, we discovered one of the showers was leaking to the bathroom below, and because a part had to be ordered they were unable to fix it during out stay. It was challenging to have 6 people share the same shower, and the shower that was still available to us was tiny with weird handles and a shower curtain that was so light it kept blowing into the shower while we were trying to use it. Otherwise, everything was good.

We have stayed at many VRBO at the lake, this was probably the nicest , very clean , love the yard and location of the dock . No big hill. Very nice .

We had a wonderful stay. The home is warm and comfortable, clean and spacious. The lake is beautiful and the use of kayaks and paddle boards was very nice. Marion is a short drive for groceries and other needs. We played golf in the area and visited Garden of Gods.

Great location for hiking at shawnee national park. My grandchildren had a ball swimming and kayaking in the lake. Lake. Beds were comfortable. We had plenty of room for 2 adults and 4 children. Easy location to find. When we had a problem with the plumbing we had a quick response from the owner. My whole family gave the house excellent rating

We loved our stay here! Check in was a breeze! The whole house was nicely updated and the bedrooms were spacious. The only downfall was the dock didn’t have a ladder into the water.

Overall, this is a great lakefront property. The interior has been nicely remodeled. It was a little sparse-having some extra blankets, board games and sticks for roasting marshmallows would have been nice. The downstairs toilet was leaking. Having the kayaks and paddle boards was great. The dock could use some updating and a ladder down into the lake. We had to use a paddle board as a "step" to get in and out to float or kayak. It is on a nice quiet cove and we brought rafts to float. It's not very deep-maybe 3 feet-so we didn't really swim. They were easy to get in touch with when we had questions.
