Friendly and welcoming. The room was simple and clean, exactly as expected from the photo when booking. Great night's sleep with a crisp, clean duvet 😁.

Pros- cheap / I really like the modern/loft style decor in the entrance and hallways, didn’t have to wait to use bathroom, good central location and not too far from station Cons- toilet didn’t flush, shower was cold (and the heat regulating dial had broken off), shampoo barely lathered up at all, teeny weeny bin

The guy when I checked in wasn't particularly welcoming, and there were stains on the quilt and the bathroom floor was pretty grubby.

The kitchen is awful. No one cleans anything, the fridge always smelled terrible, there were insects flying around because of it uncleanliness.

Good communication immediately after booking, updates and reminders via WhatsApp. Friendly staff. Interesting old buildings with lots of original features. 24/7 front desk, small shop area for drinks and snacks. Communal kitchen area was a good size. Communal living room also a good size. Small balcony to sit out and see the city. Room was small but this was made clear. Towels were included in our room booking, however when I checked in on line the rules stated towels had to be paid for, so I purchased an additional towel. When we checked in the desk staff member was not aware our room price included towels. Facilities stated hair dryer, however this has to be borrowed from front desk, not available in room. The shared bathroom stated shared by no more than 4 rooms, however the 2 shared bathrooms on our floor only had 1 properly functioning shower between at least 10 rooms. Bathrooms were not very clean and due to a poorly flushing toilet I had to clean away other people's mess twice. Optional add on Breakfast was good.When we tried to access the free WiFi there was consistently a message advising it might not be secure. General decor was tired with signs of damp. A nice ambience, a reasonable price, but on balance probably would not book again due to poor bathroom facilities.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location close to the city centre, as well as a tram stop close by. Overall, a great value for the price and a great hostel.

Very please with my stay

Nice hostel, great that the single room with shared bathroom was affordable. Unfortunately the wifi was down for most of my stay which was a bit annoying. And my room was about 10 fire doors and 100m away from the bathroom. But otherwise good location and friendly staff.

the room was tidy and clean, not spotless but clean enough. the staff were welcoming and there was always someone at the desk if needed. bed was very comfortable and everything we needed was available. will definitely be back again if required

Everything was quite cute and stylish. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The staff was kind. However, there were few details to improve the status of the walls as the painture was a bit deteriorated.

Was checked in a room where there were stains of blood on the bed curtains, pee all over the toilet seat and the floor. The lady at the reception dismissed me and refused to help. I left the premises to find a cafe with a toilet and contacted hotels.com customer service. The person on the chat seemed willing to help and promised I was going to be contacted by hotels.com for a refund etc but never been contacted back. As the weather was horrible, I had to go back and at the reception there was another person. Showed pictures and videos of the room to prove my claim as the unhelpful colleague wrote in the system it wasn't true. At the end, he moved me to a different room and firstly on a bed I couldn't use due to disabilities. I only slept 1 out of 2 nights on the bed. The cleaning ladies only collect towels, change bedding and leave a toilet paper roll. So I bought my own cleaning products and kept the toilet clean. Upon arrival, the lady at the reception did not even tell me the kitchen and dining area were upstairs. Found it out just before leaving from another guest.

Comfortable room although a bit warm overnight, good location for New Street and Snow Hill and friendly staff. Bedding, towels and soap provided. Lounge facility was ok and kitchenette did the job it needed to.
