Easy to locate hotel and park car for our stay, was able to walk to York centre, good breakfast, welcoming and friendly owner and staff, quiet at night, pleasant room and area.

Shower temperature control was stiff to operate.

Lovely, welcome and very accommodating. In terms of parking. The beds were comfortable and a very useful location. A lovely little walk along the river to the town centre just enough of a stretch of the legs.

The shower had a trickle of water, a smell of drains in the ensuite and the bathroom was dusty in places. My mushrooms are cold at breakfast.

The room was clean & tidy with TV etc. so was perfectly adequate, breakfast was very nice with several choices available.

I stayed the week before Xmas and as you can imagine everywhere was booked solid in the City centre, so I managed to get a room at the Clifton Bridge guesthouse, pleasantly surprised is not an answer, I can't thank the owner enough, great welcome, nothing too much trouble, and when he found out I couldn't get a taxi into town for my meeting, he drove me there himself......I am not saying that this is probably a usual occurrence but .....Wow, superb. Breakfast was very good indeed and my room was very quiet and comfortable. I am really pleased all the usual places were booked up because I would never have found this place....A1.

I couldn't fault this place, and that's being absolutely genuine, you can usually be picky and find something wrong, I couldn't...!!

Lovely friendly staff, good quality rooms and a tasty breakfast with various options, such as fruit and yoghurt or numerous cereals before the main event...the superb cooked breakfast! We booked via the internet, and to be fair, every stated was true in reality. The same can't always be said with online purchases ! Thank you to Clifton Bridge guest house!!

Parking was a little tight, however we knew before booking that it was limited. No complaints there, as we expected it. The owner helped people park to maximise the spaces available, so once again, very helpful.

Lovely hosts, clean , fabulous breakfast,modern setting and great value for money , we will definitely be returning with the family in 2023 🥰

Very clean and comfortable; ideally located for walking into the city centre. Breakfast was excellent.

The facilities were good and room really clean and everything we wanted was provided. Plus owner kindly offered us a lift into York.

Felt was little further out from centre than expected . Was a staffing issue this weekend so had to wait to sign in and get in room. Having said that we're allowed to sign in earlier and leave little later. Would go again to see if more staff helped situation.

Lovely comfy rooms, great location and breakfast was fantastic.

The Clifton Bridge Hotel was a perfect place to stay. Arthur was so welcoming, coffee and biscuits on arrival while our luggage was taken up to our room - which was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, Linda, who was taking orders and serving was friendly and efficient and looked after us well.

We liked everything.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay . 😀 The host was lovely and very welcoming, the breakfast was out of this world , highly recommended

Gem of a place VFM Host is a star and couldn't do enough even dropped us off in town. 2 weeks he opens front in loverly patio area for 🍕 bbq 😋 area Worth a visit if staying out posh places. Breakfast was quality and spot on

Nothing really, couldn't grumble as 40% cheaper than main hotels
