what an amazing experience. and amazing hostess. Sue and Duncan were wonderful. They helped direct me to great places to shop and find last minute needs. I ended up going back an extra evening towards the end of my trip. I highly recommend staying here! Beds were super comfortable and the breakfast delicious! Definitely a highlight of my time in England.

Sue was amazing and very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Room was cleaned daily and you can't fault anything. Just amazing

Parking was a problem … as little parking .. local tariffs reasonable .. sue did come tell us when a spot had come available upon our arrival

The location was fabulous , good value for money. Breakfast was lovely and hosts were very welcoming would definitely stay again. Family room was ideal for us and very comfortable. Some nice touches like a fridge on the landing and free toiletries.

Designated parking spaces close to the Hotel would be a bonus. Nearby parking is mainly limited to availability of spaces at 'pay at meter' in Queen's Road between 10:00am and 6:00 pm. Free overnight.

We received a lovely welcome & breakfast was always excellent, quick & couldn't be faulted. The location is brilliant, close to both train & bus stations & shopping facilities & of course, the sea-front. Sue made us aware of the best places to eat & nothing was too much trouble for her. (She even offered a bucket of water & sponge to remove the seagull poo from our car)!! Would thoroughly recommend the 'Valdene'. This was our first visit (& no, we are not related)!

Going home! Although there is no parking on site, this was not a problem as parking opposite on the road was available & the frequent public transport facilities made it easy to explore without the need to use the car.

Sue was lovely and made us and our little boy feel welcome ,even after he had a nosebleed on her very white bedding 🙈

From the moment sue opened the door when we arrived to the moment we left she made us feel so welcome, such a lovely lady, breakfast was lovely, room was comfortable will definitely go back there again (and we loved the fish)

Bath room was a little small but that was not an issue

Sue was the perfect hostess - nothing was too much trouble, so kind and helpful. Excellent few days away and we look forwards to returning next year xx

The hotel was perfect for our stay and the hosts Sue and Duncan went beyond helpful and made us feel at home, there is no words to thank thank them for their hospitality, we won't stay anywhere else in Paignton and we will recommend the Valdene hotel to all my friends......🥰🥰🥰

The Valdene hotel is everything that any guest could ever ask for. Given the warmest of welcomes that I can personally say I have ever been given, I can safely say that our 11 night stay at the Valdene hotel was certainly the best. Many thanks to Sue for a wonderful stay. We will certainly be staying again.
