I went to this resort to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Arriving of course the lobby was beautiful. You’re greeted with a butler who will assist you during your stay . The room we had which was a signature room was not the best . Although it’s the cheapest , it still should’ve been up to par . The sink was broken a bit , the mirror was in bad shape . There were ants in the shower , in the room, on the night stands . We saw 2 roaches come from under the couch . There were no plugs , just usb ports for charging . They serve the same breakfast daily and food and it’s mostly cold . It’s cultured based food so tourists like me wouldn’t like it much . You can only eat at 2 restaurants with reservations and the serving of food is so small and I didn’t eat it. The glasses and utensils were dirty so it’s best to ask for a new set and drink from a plastic cup. The staff that only speaks Spanish sucks their teeth due to misunderstanding and they won’t serve you . My spouse and I experienced a lot of the staff overlooking us and catering more to the Hispanic cultures . We spoke up but it didn’t change anything . If someone ( staff ) say , free this or that , run like hell. It’s a trick to get you to a private area and get you to invest in a timeshare there . They were asking for $19,000 -$ 24,000 . It’s a set up ! One thing I will highlight is the butler Juan Mejia I had did make sure I had a birthday banner on my door and complimentary champagne .

It was a fantastic stay and experience. Very kind and attentive staff, even more kind and attentive if you speak their native language which is Spanish.
Manuela from the bar lobby waitress was very nice, attentive and helpful in giving us advice around how the town outside is like with recommendations where we can souvenirs and all. I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the atmosphere and all. They offer tour packages in the front desk.
The cleaning staff is also very nice and respectful if you want extra bottles of water or other things. If you want just the bathroom clean they can do that only if you want. They front desk is very helpful if certain things break down; they get it fixed ASAP. or if you need additional items sent to your room like water and stuff. Its much easier to communicate will all them if you know Spanish.
What I don't recommend is buying souvenirs stores like premium bottle liquor or cigars from inside the resort because they charge 2 to 3 times that you can find outside the resort but I believe that is typical. With Manuela the lobby bar waitress, I wholeheartedly recommend her for sure if anyone is looking souvenirs, cigars or drinks you can buy for better prices outside of the resort.
Overall wonderful fantastic experience. Am planning with a bigger group set of friends to return.

Vendors sometimes pressured too much on doing stuff such as massage, our room had broken AC and phone and staff came in the middle of the night to fix it- they knocked and we didn’t answer because we were sleeping and they just walk in- very inappropriate.

You get what you pay for. The service was awful! The food was especially bad, especially in the specialty restaurants. There was only one towel kiosk for the entire facility. There were very few activities. The concierge did not help us, he only self-promoted to try to get us to sign for their vacation club. Although the resort was fairly empty, we had to wait an excessively long time for drinks. When we arrived, the toilet did not flush and there was no cold water so we couldn't shower. Several guests were impacted because it was the whole wing of our building. It took them 3.5 hours to address the problem and only after complaining by phone 5 times, then going to the front desk and getting loud. I reserved a king size bed, but was given 2 full beds instead. My husband and I slept apart because they refused to move us. The sofas were stained, however the place was clean. The room safe did not fully function -only some of the numbers were operable. The hot tub didn't hold water, but was repaired when they fixed the toilet problem. The whole place looks tired and run down. The staff was pleasant except for the supervisor who we went to about our initial toilet/shower problem. On the bright side, the beach was beautiful. And it was a cheap getaway. I booked my whole family for a trip in May, but cancelled it. I won't be going back.

Overall is pretty good for the price. Issues: sometimes there were some bad cleaning with the silverware and dishes had to check it before using. Also in my case the toilet had some leaking but not a big deal. Is definitely a 3.5 or 4 stars all inclusive resort. I would say it is totally worth it for the price (if you get a good deal).

Every thing was excellent except the breakfast could have Ben a little better, the internet’was very bad could not get WiFi signal all most everywhere I need it for my business and kids my kids were not happy either, but over all we had a great time,

My boyfriend and I came and stayed here for 12 days. While the beach and property were nice, that is about all we can say was good about our stay.
We had multiple poor experiences with the staff, our room and the service. The staff were very unfriendly, inattentive, and just seemed miserable. A lot of the time, they were on their phones or too busy talking to each other for us to receive any service. It was almost impossible to get a drink from some of the bars at the property as the staff just looked right past. No greeting, no desire to serve us. It was extremely frustrating.We also had issues with the housekeeping. Most days, if housekeeping did come to our room, they would take our towels and not come back with fresh ones until late in the evening, if at all. It was pretty frustrating trying to get cleaned off from the beach or ready for dinner, and realizing we had no towels to dry off. On one occasion, It took us calling the front desk and housekeeping 7 times, and took 3.5 hours before we finally got our towels. We were given a filthy ice scoop on our arrival. Our toilet broke and it took us calling multiple times for 2 days before they finally came to fix it, and it was only partially fixed only, as only one flushing button worked. Worst of all, we had come back from the beach one day, and the housekeeper had left our door to the room wide open, leaving all of our belongings unsafe.When we went to the front desk to speak about our experiences the staff seemed annoyed

I got sick because the staff that gives maintenance to the pool didn’t wait for the guess to leave the area to started pouring the strong chemicals and the granulated Clorox, so I breathed those chemicals and came back home with strong headaches and irritation in the throat and nose.

Property was old and outdated. Staff was not helpful and seemed annoyed that we did not speak Spanish. Had to ask for face towels multiple times, and it took 3 days for them to arrive. The food was disappointing, offering the same selections with no real variety, and the drinks were watered down and subpar. The beach was the only highlight of this resort. My wife and I have traveled to many places over the years, and this was by far the worst experience we've had. We usually come to a resort ready to tip for good service. Unfortunately, we left with most of our money in our pockets.

Not really many negative comments the water and electricity went out one day, but it was restored within an hour.
Staff is very friendly and helpful even though some do not speaking English very well. They still managed to accommodate my stay perfectly.

Got the royal level room and the location of it was incredible. Room was seconds away from the beach and the pool. Room service was quick and housekeeping was detailed and great. Entire property always looked clean. Definitely recommend! Looking forward to saying here again in the future.

This property is very outdated. There are so many areas in need of repairs. The resort needs to be updated and overhauled. We had multiple issues with our room that took an entire day to get any resolution. They ended up moving our room (which was right next to our kids) to another room that was in need of updating and repair. Food was ok'ish. Nothing spectacular. I would not stay there again. You get what you pay for and I would pay more to get a nicer resort that is updated and modern.

The staff in every area is very polite.
The maintenance of the rooms need to improve. No the beds or towels but the plumbing. The bathroom's sink needs to be replaced and the toilet was leaking all the time.
No enough electrical outlets in the room and half of the USB outlets were broke.

Property would not work with us after airline screwed us over by cancelling flight to Punta Cana! Love how I paid for an all inclusive stay but as we never got there & the property hide behind “policy” and would not refund! Will never book this property or affiliated in Dominican ever and will make sure people home in Canada are aware! Work hard to pay for my vacations and love how I have been ripped off! NOT!!! As far as I am concerned management at this property are nothing but greedy thief’s that will not work with their customers!!! How many others have they done this to is my question!?!? DO BETTER OCCIDENTAL PUNTA CANA!

I stayed at this hotel in Punta Cana, and upon arrival, I was told that my Expedia reservation was not found. They charged me again (at a higher rate than what I had already paid), assuring me that the issue would be resolved the next day. The next day, during check-out, they told me that the money would be refunded to my card. This happened on May 14th, and as of today, August 23rd, I have called multiple times. However, the only people who answer are those at the reception, who say they need to transfer me to another department. I haven't been able to speak to anyone who can help because when they transfer me, no one picks up. One day, they said they would connect me with the assistant manager, but again, no one answered. Meanwhile, I have both the Expedia charge and the charge from the hotel, which I have already paid due to my credit card billing cycle, and I have received no response whatsoever.

The resort itself is in a quiet area , it can be a safe environment if you have security that actually do their job. The staff is rude and disrespectful, especially if you’re visiting from out the Dominican Republic (which is mostly everyone ) do not waste your time saying “thank you “ they will just walk away and never come back to check on you. I am all for the good workers getting a good tip , but when it’s “expected” with horrible service , is an issue. I thought their attitude was the worst initially , try not giving a tip “for their rude attitude “ it’ll get worst . They will actually threaten you after that, yes forreal ! , they will ask you why do u even go there without giving. Don’t even try to ask what you’re entitled to with all inclusive. Check in service was horrendous, they ran out of room and made us wait till 6pm for another room that wasn’t requested. We finally got our requested took 2 days later. The food was edible. There is lack of manners & respect which is so sad . You go eager to learn the culture and just have a good time. If you don’t give $1 or more you’re not even greeted or helped . Good luck to those booking this property. Oh and they will mop your room with your clothes if you don’t leave a tip. Good luck

This was the worse all inclusive resort stay ever. The room are dirty and have swarms of ants everywhere. There are people on the resort harassing you to buy things your whole stay. The food is gross and gave me food poisoning. Also they do not have wash clothes at this hotel. All the pools feel like a jacuzzi and not refreshing at all when trying to cool down from the hot temperatures. I could not wait to return home.
