The resort is wonderful overall, the pool, the beach, and the food were amazing, our only issue was the room; the air conditioning was poor and the towels were old and tough.

Check in / out was not welcoming at all! No hello, no eye contact, felt like he didn’t want to be there, not engaging at all (didn’t get his name as he wasn’t wearing a name badge👍). And he forget to give me my
Welcome envelope which included my pool towel card! Henzy, who checked me out, was the same. No “thank you for staying at Lopesan”, just asked for my room number and sent me on my way. THEY SERIOUSLY NEED TO TRAIN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The facilities team work so much harder and so much nicer. Always saying hi as we walk past. Thank you to them.

Restaurant Food was very mediocre - nothing special. Breakfast and lunch buffet was actually more tasteful and had flavour.
Pools - many to choose from. The sellers at the stalls near the pool were all aggressive! Not pleasant being hollered over pressuring sales to buy a bracelet. Felt like a market. (Which there was one next door for half the price). Get rid of them, or retrain.
Theatre shows were a joke lol. Need to get better performers that can actually perform, as a team, together. It was a comedy.
Overall, high end property, that didn’t have the staff to match.

I have been in other Punta Cana hotels and I have never seen rude unfriendly dominican workers like the ones in Lopesan. This hotel is new, clean and nicely decorated. However most of the staff is rude and unmotivated. This must be an issue with the hotel because clearly staff has no motive to be nice with guests. Food is good for an all inclusive resort, not excellent but good enough. 2 main complains: only one towel station an is far from beach and pool, and there is no pool bar. Everything else is fine. I would not come back to Lopesan.

This is a 5 star resort. I’ve been to many hotels and I can say that this place looks beautiful. Walking in we were expecting the best service as it is 5 stars and we paid a lot of money to be there. But we got the complete opposite. Every server we had minus one or two were rude and uninterested. No one wanted to be working. I get that but you work in the hospitality industry at a five star resort. Everyone we passed and greeted did not greet us back pleasantly. It seemed like they just didn’t want to be there. No one smiles. No one greets and says hello. No one is helpful. Second. We were in 90 degree weather and the pool felt like it was a hot tub. There was no relief from the sun or heat. The pool is beautiful but it’s not fun to go into hot water when it’s a normal pool. It needs some shade and maybe a swim up bar since the servers don’t go around often. We were looking for servers constantly and they would all be in the back talking to each other while all the guests were searching for people to place orders. They needed more servers. The cherry on top of this trip was that the housekeeper stole $300 from our wallet that we left in the room. No one had showed us the safe and we had just forgotten to grab the wallet before rushing out to enjoy the day. The only other person that entered the room was housekeeping. We reported it and they did an “internal investigation” but never got back to us. They kept saying in Spanish that we “apparently” lost money. Never going back.

This is the second time we stayed at this resort to celebrate my daughter’s 7 bday we just can’t wait to come back in December. The staff are amazing from the minute of check in till the last of check out, very attentive and professional. Milkeya😍 Karla Valdez, Francisco Suañe, Miguel Pozo, PapaJohn (great cooking show at the Asian restaurant) Luis Ramirez and more. Great dinning options, the pools are beautiful and always clean, the beach club area. For the second time we loved our room and enjoyed all the areas of the resort, beautiful beach area and everything. Loved it all !🤩❤️

Resort was nice. Grounds were beautiful and well kept up. Room was also clean and AC worked well. However if you like hot water then you will not like this resort, as you are lucky if you get warm water at the best times.
Food was the biggest disappointment. Quick service grills were pretty nasty with food that was borderline inedible. Fancy restaurants were average at best with dishes that were attempting to be good but failing.
Avoid the Steakhouse (which is adults only btw) as every single course was bad. Better steaks can be had at Outback. Italian was average. Asian was average. Mexican was average. Best place IMO was the Mediterranean which had fresh food that was actually tasty.
Pool was nice and very warm. But my god if you are looking for a relaxing quiet retreat, this is not it. From 9am to 10pm they crank spanish music that’s so loud that you can hear it from your room with the double paned glass door closed. It’s unnecessary and detracts from an otherwise beautiful pool.
Beach was nice as long as you don’t mind a little seaweed. We knew this going into the trip and it wasn’t bad. Water was warm and overall nice. Note: your scenery will consist of dozens of anchored boats along the entire horizon. Also be prepared to be hounded by locals selling hair wraps, water sports, pictures with parrots, and more.
Drinks were ok - their beer selection is great as long as you like Presidente. Cocktails were as expected.
I would not come back to this resort.

We spent a fantastic week at Lopesan and did not want to leave. The staff offered excellent service and made our time very enjoyable. They have a great variety of great restaurants and impressive cooking shows, not to mention the boulevard that has everything you may be looking for in a resort.
I would recommend to incorporate a shuttle service from and to PUJ.

Everything you need is at a walking distance. Different restaurants to choose from. Buffet has many food options and the service is good. Lots of beach space and even when the hotel is full you will not feel like you are in a crowed place at all.

Regarding food they dont have vegetables options. Even for room service to get towels they take hours to get it. No iron in the room. It took 8 hrs to get one iron. Communication is also a very big problem. Majority of staff speak only Spanish. They dont have staff who can talk in English.

Not such a great place to take anyone that is handicap. Their accessible rooms are hard to request for and are not all that accessible. There are no grab bars in the shower only by the toilet my dad slipped in the bathroom. if you try to request one of these rooms before checking in, they will not provide it. Some of the receptionist are not so very nice. The workers in general, barely even smile at you. I have been too many all-inclusive and this is by far the worst when it comes to customer service, this is also a very new hotel but yet it has a lot of water damage already throughout the whole resort. You can tell on t The roof of many parts of the resort, including in the bedroom. I went with my family and we reserved six rooms in total most of the rooms. ACs were not working properly. They should also have more waiters around the pools, especially since there is no swim bar. They also do not serve any food near the pool, not even for kids last, but not least The food quality is not all that great. me and my family of 12 all had food poisoning on our last night there when we ate in the Inari restaurant.

This is a massive resort, too big. The grounds/landscapes are incredible. The main infinity edge pool is extremely spacious so it never feels overcrowded.
The air circulation in the restaurants/bar/sitting areas is not good. Sometimes it felt like we were in a sauna. The service is below average due to the resort is simply too large. It was difficult to communicate because most staff didn’t speak English. The food was below average for the money we spent. The Asian restaurant was our favorite (*****). The television in our room often didn’t work, the iron was broken. Our room never had adequate towels or wash cloths after housekeeping cleaned room, several times no towels or wash cloths left.
Overall, we rate the resort average and not worth the money. We would not return to this resort
