In Custer with family for the motorcycle rally! Had an excellent time and very happy with the communication with the property manager!!!

Had everything we needed for a 1 week stay. We were on motorcycles, so FYI for others on bikes, its a 4.5 mile gravel road. Its packed gravel and we were able to go 30+mph on it. Very quiet, peaceful location. Would stay again.

We enjoyed staying at the historic cabin. We had room to spread out and found everything we needed in the kitchen and living spaces. Some of the furnishings are very old, but still workable. Some tiny tables next to the beds would be helpful. Some of the lighting could be improved - a bare bulb hanging from the ceiling isn’t so great.
We enjoyed our stay, though! Thanks!

Amazing historic cabin nestled in the pines on a picturesque property. After visiting and fishing the beautiful areas of Custer, Hill City, and Keystone, we would return to the peacefullness of the cabin. We are so happy we decided to stay at Pine Crestr Cabin to celebrate our 27 yr. anniversary!

I was looking for a place to disconnect, unwind and take in nature while spending time with my Father and Son. This place is as advertised. The charm of the cabin is even better in person. Peaceful surroundings but close to both Hill City and Custer. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a similar setting.

A very cool and surprisingly spacious cabin in a quiet, somewhat remote area that's still very close to Custer and everything else in the area.

The entire family enjoyed staying in this historic cabin. Such a peaceful location to return to after a busy day of all the fun activities offered in the Black Hills. The owners were fantasic and were super accomodating. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the owners for providing this wonderful vacation spot.

Clean, large home accommodated our family during our stay in the Black Hills. Location is wonderfully remote, quiet and peaceful!

We stayed here for three nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. Tucked back in the mountains, it was everything I wanted with mornings drinking coffee listening to the elk bugling, and evenings by the wood-burning fireplace.

This cabin is a piece of history and a must see! We enjoyed our stay here and felt right at home. The cabin has everything you need. The super host is a phone call away and willing and able to help if needed. I highly recommend this peaceful space for a getaway in the Black Hills!

We had a wonderful time at this property!! It was a perfect location for us to start from to visit sights in the area. The cabin was very clean and so incredibly peaceful and quiet at night!! Our kids loved watching the bunnies play in the yard and really enjoyed the ‘kids’ bedroom! Everything was clean, communication was smooth and easy, we would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!!

We stayed in this cabin 10 years ago and have such fond memories of that vacation that we came back. It was just as wonderful as we remembered.
Truly one of the loveliest places we've stayed. The cabin is very comfortable and the area is gorgeous. Lots to do in South Dakota.
Communication with the host was great and the whole process was easy.

Nice place. We would have really liked reading lamps by each bed.

This historical cabin is a wonderful place away from the business of the area at the end of the day. Lots of room for our family of 5.

Great location in country side relatively close to many Black Hills attractions.
Fire pit is not level and therefore dicey.
Never ending parade of moths inside the house.
Host is responsive and helpful.

We had a great time staying at this cabin. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. We had the best time watching the bunnies and wildlife off the front porch

Absolutely loved this please, exactly what the doctor ordered! Truly in the middle of nature, with a great view towards the east. We had rabbits in the yard and it was so cool temp wise in the hills. Only about a 15 minute drive from Custer and 25 min from hill city. Theresa was responsive and helpful! We will hopefully be back again someday!

Rustic and historic property with everything you will need. The owners are friendly and were available if we needed anything. Perfect place if you want to get away from people but still be close to all the local attractions. Easily accessible to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Wind Cave and many other local attractions. Good place for a base that is away from the crowds. My whole family loved it and that is quite an accomplishment.

Great family reunion place
This was perfect for our family. We rented both cabins and enjoyed sitting outside and evening fires. It was a little farther off the road than we anticipated and took over 10 minutes to get to highway but once there easy access to all of black hills.

Cabin with Character
While cookie cutter cabins abound, this cabin has the history and charm to back up its place on the national historical registry. When combine with the fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great fire pit, washertdryer and amazing owner, the cabin was a perfect fit for our family of 6. It was our home base as we hiked and off-roaded our way thru the Blackhills. Our kids walked in the door and their first response was "This is cool!"
Thanks Teresa for keeping the cabin in the perfect state of history meeting the present. So thankful for the memories made in this cabin!

Rustic but overall great cabin and location
We loved the 3 BR cabin and it had all the necessary comforts of home, even though it is very rustic. The location is in a great spot to visit the area, its a 6 mile drive on a dirt road to get to the cabin. There is no formal parking other than a grass side yard, so if you have more than 1 car it could pose issues. We loved the bunnies who free roam around the property and would join us for morning coffee outside on the chairs!

We had a great time at the Pine Crest cabin. Clean, comfortable, all the amenities for a great stay. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, listening to the cattle, and the bunnies were there to greet us each morning. Great hosts. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Thanks, Teresa.

This was perfect for our group staying three nights in the Black Hills to explore via UTV. Great location between Hill City and Custer while being off the main road offering a bit of remoteness and wildlife. Cabin had the historic feel but it was also equipped with all modern necessities as well. Easy check in and check out and it exceeded our expectations. Brad, Linda, Todd, Maddy

Superb wilderness cabin in the Black Hills
This was our second visit to the CCC cabin. Like with our last visit everything was excellent. The cabin is in a great location, near all the Black Hills sites and not too far from Badlands National Park. The accommodations were very comfortable, roomy, with a well stocked kitchen. It was also very clean. Communication with the owner, Teresa, were quick and easy. 5 Star Recommendation!

Fantastic little cabin with a great layout. Should have planned a day to just hang out there and enjoy watching the rabbits, but it was a busy trip. Only recommendation would be larger bath towels.

Rustic getaway
Just the right amount of rustic cabin experience but with everything you need. Cabin is close to George S. Michelson trail, Crazy Horse monument and just a short drive to Custer, Hill City, and Mt. Rushmore. Easy experience with host. Only downside is those darned SD country gravel roads. Oh well!

This property is a rustic, historical gem, nestled in what feels like an isolated area, yet only 15 minutes from Custer. It takes you back in time, and slows you down enough to take in the quiet, and the wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
