Ideal zum Ankommen

Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist sehr besonders durch den schönen Innenhof. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber ausgestattet mit dem Nötigsten. Die Lage ist nicht zu toppen, alles am Ort, mitten drin und das Hostel ist NICHT laut!

Die sanitären Anlagen sind sehr einfach. Aber, man bleibt ja meistens nicht so lange in der Stadt, also ideal zum Ankommen in Ecuador.

Great place to stay at the historic part of Quito

Amazing location of the hotel right next to Centro Historico is its best asset - be sure to check out the terrace on the top floor, especially in the evening. You can see an amazing panorama of Virgen del Panecillo. Breakfasts are simple, but very well prepared and tasty and the staff is very helpful and keeps the rooms very clean.

When you arrive be sure to ask the staff to show you how the shower works, because its not that simple. If you are coming in a party of more than two, the last person might have to shower in an ice cold water...

Great hosts and location

Hostel is located in the middle of historical center. Easy to find some restaurants nearby and visit the attractions in the center.

The sound isolation in the hostel could be better. However, you can’t hear the noise from the street, definitely a plus! Also, as a solo traveller I did find it difficult to meet others. So if you are looking for a more social setting, this hostel might not be for you.

No hot water Curtains doesn't block light so u wake up at 6-7am But overall, bad customer service as the guy didn't want that I cancel my night (and even change the date) I booked by mistake Long talking for nothing by text and almost not respectful They have a lot of effort to do about customer service Very expensive for the service I wouldn't pay more than 14 dollars The breakfast is really basic (maybe the Omelette was good but I dont eat eggs) Disclaimer : once I was here the peraonnal was okay of course

The patio and balconies were pretty with flowers and vegetation however it's not where you sleep. The bedroom though clean was bland uninspired and cold.

The entrance and exit to the hotel is contingent to have a hotel staff hearing the door bell which can be a nuisance as one isn't free to come in and out as one wishes. All the gates an iron bars make you feel as if you were in jail. No idea of who gave a 3 stars grade to this hotel. No hot water in the sink, no heating in the room though advertised otherwise. Didn't like the idea one has to pay a 10% surplus if paying with credit card. It should be spelled upfront.

Very good

Location is nice to Historic Center, but its not the best of areas, especially at night! Its very Ghetto.

The Hotel was fine, just be in a better area. I did not feel unsafe, but just be aware, Everything closes very early in this area.

Quaint hotel but noisy area & bed

Convenient location if you want to be in the heart of the historical area. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.

It was very noisy due to the location, if you’re a heavy sleeper than that’s not a problem. Our bed was extremely noisy with every move we made which made for a sleepless night.

Cozy, cute & comfortable!

Amazing location in the historic centre. Staff was friendly & helpful, even made me a cup of tea & a snack when I arrived late the first night. Bed had warm, cozy blankets & the room was cleaned and fresh towels replenished everyday! Lots of cute patio spots to enjoy & get some work done while sitting outside! Breakfast was simple & yummy. Hot water in the shower worked most of the time. I was a little cold- a mini heater in the room would have been amazing! A few dollars cheaper to get a taxi right from the airport instead of using their transfer service!

Exceptional

Lovely hostel located in historic Quito. Close to San Fransisco & Indepence Plazas, churches, museums, shops. Jesus, Oscar, and staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was 😋 delicious. It was a true feeling of old Quito.

Room was very comfortable, spacious. Lighting was sparce, wifi was intermittent. Daily cleaning was great!

The location is excellent right in the heart of the Old Town under the gaze of the Winged Virgin Mary. The tradional family run (assisted by some other great staff) hostel has a courtyard layout once through the front door, all prettily & freshly decorated with nice furniture & many pretty pot plants. Hostel offers a private vehicle for airport transfers & local tours & can assist with tours wider afield with prices displayed. The rooms are comfortable, clean & well appointed there are various sizes of rooms all unique with different layouts although common decoration & furnishings tie the hostel together. Reliable hot showers with cold water at the sink, there is a room safe & sturdy room furniture. Beds are comfortable with plenty of clean bedding. The WiFi is great with streaming channels at the room TV. The hostel is safe with staff granting access through the door gate whenever acces or exit is required staff on site 24/7. The staff are all polite, attentive & professional the overall feeling is relaxed & informal but behind the scenes it is obviously professionally & well run.

The overall experience at the Rincon Familiar Hostel was a perfect end to a perfect holiday.

Perfect location beside the old town and all that had to offer, cathedral, main square, restaurants etc. Transport at the end of the phone to take you to places further out at too reasonable a cost. The breakfast was freshly made and more than enough to eat. My room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

I found the water temperature in the shower difficult to regulate so ended up with a cold shower! However, that was an ongoing issue travelling in that area.

Short stay in Quito Old Town

Excellent location in the old town hotel was very secure with lots of communal areas some outside in secure courtyard setting. Staff very accommodating & helpful. Spanish speaking as you would expect with some English. Hotel was clean.

Didnt bother us but you are in a major city which starts to wake from 0500hrs onwards in fact doesn't completely shut down. If you want utter silence don't stay here
