Anita. One of the sweetest people we met in Costa Rica.
The beds-horrible. The dogs barking all night - you couldn’t pay me to stay there again. The man at desk this morning - rude. We had an early shuttle, so I asked at 6 if there was coffee. He shook his finger and me and said No. I will pay a little more for a nice bed & quiet. The barking dogs kept me up half the night.

Excellent location close to the town centre. Hot water showers. Reliable wifi. Comfortable mattresses.
During heavy rain the dorms leaked. The breakfast included is basic eggs/bread etc and you need to cook it yourself (I feel this should be stated in the description so people know what to expect).
7.0
- Walking distance to shops, restaurants etc
- Breakfast includes unlimited eggs, bread and cereal which you can use to make a packed lunch
- Rooms clean and comfortable
- Decent sized lockers in dorms
-Hot showers
- Dorms were pretty cramped, nowhere to store big backpacks
- Staff not super helpful. Told us we had to get a shuttle to the cloud forest ($6 usd) when theres actually a public bus which is less than half the price.
- Breakfast wasn't available until 7.15am

Comfortable bed, great shower, excellent kitchen with large variety of new pots and pans to cook with. Friendly staff, very helpful to make tour bookings and transfers. Best hostel we visited in 1 month in Costa Rica.
Nothing.

Good location.
Good kitchen facilities.
The roof leaked in my room and some of my clothes were soaked.
This is a young person's hostel and not suitable for more mature travellers.
It was supposed to be quiet after 10pm, but partying went on until 12-00pm.

Really friendly place with great staff on hand to provide really useful advice.
Great location too. With easy access to all of town.
Rooms were comfortable and homely.
Communal area is big and provides great opportunity to connect with fellow travellers

Really chill cool hostel. Good vibes all round, small cozy place with good staff. Really well maintained, comfy beds, easy to make friends, but not too crazy.
Sometimes people can be talking late at night near the rooms.

The staff at the hostel was amazing! They were exceptionally friendly and managed all tour bookings for me and other travelers that stayed there. They even made impossible possible and booked me onto a shuttle to Manuel Antonio 30 minutes before its departure.
The hostel itself was also a great value - comfortable facilities, hot water (!!), large common areas, comfortable beds and strong wifi, which even handled my work call through Microsoft Teams without glitching. I also appreciated the vibe of the hostel, which was very chill and it was easy to get together with other travelers and have a good time.
I can't really think of any cons of the hostel.

All staff was super friendly and they help you organize all sorts of activities and transport to other destinations in Costa Rica. The shared kitchen was very well equipped and clean and ingredients to cool breakfast in the morning were included.
Ventilation in the room was not the best and it smelled a bit.

Location.
Fan would have been a nice touch. Rooms can get humid without any windows open.

The staff interacted a lot with the people which was very nice, it was like they where travelers as well
Nothing that really bothered me. If I had to say one negative thing it would be one of the showers which made te bathroom quite wet.

The location was ok.
The place looks a bit dodgy from outside. The matress in our room had mold.

Lovely atmosphere at the hostel and great staff. Lots of lovely people here. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff helped organise some great activities.
I would say the rooms were a little small for 4 people but otherwise the hostel has a nice vibe and a cosy feel.

Some guys knocked on our door to pee in our bathroom (it was afternoon). They said that they didn't know we were there and they used to do it before we arrived. This help to understand how dirty the bathroom can be in this place.
