Bed was very comfortable and everything was clean.. It was adequate for one night. Breakfast adequate.
The room was small, as expected and noisy for a while.
4.1
Nice rooms near to train station and easy walking in town. Good breakfast. Nice staff.
Even though it was a week night, still noisy at night with music and loud people. Smokers in outside area that went up toward rooms and had to go past when going in and out.

Atmospheric rooms above pub; excellent breakfast and evening meal in the pub.
A little noisy; flimsy feel to outside stairs and landing leading up to rooms.

Lack of parking an issue. Noisy pub, lack of desk space.

The breakfast was freshly cooked, with plenty of choice. This is a lively traditional pub with a quiet restaurant with excellent food.
The staff were helpful and friendly

Period property, wrapped around a little courtyard, in a quiet location near the centre of town. Rooms off open balcony accessed by wooden staircase from the courtyard. Bath in room - ideal after a long day's walking.
Two bar areas, including snug with woodburning stove, and restaurant. Excellent food. Charming and very helpful team.
Room was a little tight in twin format. Yes, there was some noise from the courtyard but we were all young once!

Vastly over priced for the standard of accomodation offered.

It’s location was ideal for walkers completing the Offa’s Dyke path.
The noise from customers sitting in the outside area of the bar. They eventually left just before midnight, we had been unable to get to sleep because of their loud conversations and laughter.

Great location. Nice pub. However, it can, as expected, be noisy in the evening..

The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was perfect and set me up for the day.
I didn't like having to leave such a great place to stay.

There is no parking at this hotel. The nearby parking is a short stay car park -- max stay 2 hours. Staff member (pulling pints) suggested another car park -- but a passer by said that "you wouldn't want to walk that far!" My husband and I are both in our 80s and decided to find other accomodation. The property should be labelled as "not suitable for motorists". I expect a return of the cost for which we received no service..

Perfect for what we needed
