Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food and great value for money

Motel style rooms makes it easy to take pet out for walks. Dog-friendly bar and restaurant and they even cook Casper a sausage for breakfast! Great food and plenty of it and very welcoming staff.

very good.

we have stayed here few times now and have always enjoyed our stay the rooms meet our needs and are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. we had a full breakfast in the morning and that was lovely always plenty choice. we would definately stay here again.

room was slightly too warm and we couldnt work out how to open the window but that wasnt a major issue really.

Great place for a family get together.

Booked for a birthday meal and the whole experience of rooms and restaurant was great. Lovely helpful friendly staff . we all had a fantastic stay.

Fabulous little gem of a hotel, with great staff and food to add to the experience.

We hadn't really expected more than a basic hotel for our short stay to attend a friend's party locally. However, we were absolutely blown away by this little gem. The rooms were large and well equipped, shower mediocre but good enough, bed extremely comfortable and all clean as a whistle. Some of our party of six stayed in large family rooms with space and beds enough for a family, which means we'll be back with the grandkids in tow next time. The added bonus was the attached fabulous Italian restaurant, with a vast menu, wonderful food, and even well catered for the gluten free member of our party, which was unexpected. Breakfast the following morning was great. The staff from check in through to departure were all smiling, happy, helpful, and this in itself made our stay even better. Thank you.

The shower could have been better, but it wasn't the worst we've used. There was nothing else negative to report.

Good for families on a budget

The staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was lovely. The beds were lovely, clean and comfortable meaning I got a good night sleep. As it was a family room, it was nice to see 2 singles and a double rather than 2 doubles as the children are at an age where sharing a bed isn't comfortable any more so this was a big bonus to them.

The room was a bit cold, even with the heating on and the water for the bath took a while to warm up but once we got it going it was hot

Have stayed here on multiple occasions, busy restaurant with good food comfortable generous room & bathroom

Unfortunately experienced freak plumbing problem that wasn't simple to fix.Apologies to the other guests for no hot water!!

Would have been fantastic if not let down by the small & very low bed.....

The Restaurant was excellent, great food, excellent service and at the price expected, ambient feel of Restaurant was excellent.

Bed was way too low to the ground and was absolutely not big enough for my wife & I which created it's own issues. The lock on the doors were loose and in need of repair and room unusually hot.

Very very good value for money friendly staff and comfortable room

Friendly staff - check in was very easy Clean white bedding and nice welcoming room Late check in and late check out Breakfast was lovely

Heating was on until late and the room was very warm - no option to adjust heating Shower was cold for a while before warm water came through - it was nice eventually

Value for Money

Lovely big room, en-suite with a bath and great breakfast. Staff very good. Value for money 100%.

Signage for where to check in, its a large area. Also one of the bedside tables was missing in room 1. Nothing major though and we enjoyed our stay.

Convenient and comfortable overnight stay at this friendly restaurant with rooms.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating after my relatively late arrival (8:30pm). I was even able to get an evening meal - a very tasty calzone. Everything was very organised and very simple. Breakfast options were very flexible. A great stay.

The only think that would have been useful was some shower gel ... but that was because I had forgotten mine.

Relatively close to Toon centre, although no Metro stop. But Uber was cheap.Nice room for the price

Comfortable room and lovely staff that could not do enough to help.

Really friendly helpful staff. They even brought the food from the restaurant across to the rooms in the rain as my daughter was exhausted. Rooms were lovely. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful find on the south side of the Tyne.

It was better than outstanding! For me, everything was just perfect. From the ease of booking in, to the fabulous meal in the restaurant, an excellent room - with bath! (You don't see too many of those.) The breakfast was also awesome.

It was enjoyable and we slept well.

Room was well decorated and clean. The breakfast was very good and the one evening meal we had was also very good and good value.

We are an older couple and the bathroom shower was in the bath. I had great difficulty getting my leg over into the bath and there were no rails of any kind to hold on to. Getting out was down right dangerous! My husband is taller, so he did not have the same problem. Also would have liked there to have been rails to hang your towels on.

From the minute I arrived till I left, the staff were very attentive and warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional as we're the facilities they offered the breakfast both continental and cooked were very substantial.
