This is a beautiful property, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was secluded which was great, well stocked kitchen and we loved cooking on the outdoor grill. If you’re on a motorcycle be aware that it’s 3 miles of gravel road to the house but it’s been treated, the dust was low and we didn’t have any issues. The location was perfect to go see all the sites! Lots of great restaurants in Custer too. Todd was great to talk with, sorry we didn’t get to meet Michelle. Wonderful experience, we’ll definitely be back.

This location was perfect for a girlfriend trip. Plenty of space, great fire area, close to Custer and had a stream in the backyard. The owners stopped by to ensure everything was correct at check-in, and let us know they lived right up the street if we needed anything. Perfect trip

The four of us enjoyed the quiet setting by the creek (inhabited by two snapping turtles), eating outside on the patio, and playing cards in the game room beside the stone fireplace. We had a great time using it as our home base.

This home is in a perfect location that is close to Custer State Park. House was spotless including a well stocked kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise. We even saw the resident turtle down by the creek. There was a lot of good information about local hiking, restaurants and other family activities. We highly recommend this home. The hosts are wonderful and have a lot of knowledge of the area.

What a great place to stay! I can't say enough good things about this get away. The location was perfect! Just a few short minutes from everything. The running creek behind the house was amazing! We enjoyed firing up the bbq every evening for drinks and relaxation. The house was clean with everything we could possibly need. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The house was perfect for our family! You can't ask for a better location. We were able to make trips to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Devil's Tower, and Badlands while staying in one location. The secluded setting and welcome basket was icing on the cake!

We had a great time exploring the area. There is so much to do and see within an hour. The house was a fun 70's vibe and three generations loved it!!

What a beautiful home! Clean and stocked with more goodies than you could imagine. Todd and Michelle were the perfect hosts & hostesses!
Todd gave us ideas on sites to see and even offered to take us around. The house was clean and full of goodies for a wonderful welcome! Our trip was to see Mt. Rushmore and take advantage of the more than 50 hiking trails available. We purchased some travel guides but found Michelle had stocked the house with information at your fingertips. What a wonderful vacation! I hope to come back again someday soon!! I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of the Black Hills Country.

We’ve stayed at various homes from both VRBO and AirBB. We’ve noticed that you can make anything look good with the right photos. This place is LEGIT. A wonderful and CLEAN home, located on a beautiful property, with the peace and serenity of the Black Hills and French Creek surrounding you and only minutes from the town of Custer and Custer State Park. From the welcome basket on the counter (and in the fridge!) to a living room with large windows overlooking the property (and wildlife passing through) to a wonderful back patio where you hear the current of the creek and the smell of Ponderosa Pine, this place is the REAL DEAL. I kinda hate telling everyone this as it’ll likely never have availability again when I want it! WELL DONE Michelle and Todd…THIS place is a winner!

The property was perfect for our needs and the hosts did an exceptional job at making us feel welcomed! The home was very clean and roomy and had all the conveniences you could need. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes from downtown Custer, which made it a great launching point to all the local attractions. We would definitely recommend and stay there again! Thank you Michelle & Todd!

Myself and 4 friends spent Thanksgiving in Custer and could not have picked a better spot. The house was so lovely and perfectly maintained. It was close to the state park and to the town of Custer. We saw lots of wildlife and the house was exactly what we wanted to come home to after a cold day out. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We sure hope we will be back!

We took the motorcycles for a wonderful trip to South Dakota, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house is well stocked and the welcome basket was the best. Even had a wonderful surprise in refrigerator. The property is a hop, skip and jump to the wildlife loop which I think we did every night to see the critters. Michelle is a wonderful and extremely responsive, she even made access available for us to park the bikes in the garage. That was a very special treat. You have a wonderful place and we felt right at home.

Our hosts met us within 5 mins of arriving, made us feel welcome, let us know where to eat and fish and made sure we knew where everything was located in the house. The setting sure is a blood pressure reducer. And it's centrally located to everything in the area, so it makes a perfect home base for a vacation. And to make it even better, the house is very well outfitted - kitchen dinnerware and utensils are plentiful, bedding and towels are plentiful, etc. Our stay there was just what we needed.

Such a beautiful quiet peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the days end after hiking and exploring! Multiple deer, 2 sets of fawns that would play in the yard, 2 bucks, and 7 wild Turkey including 2 babies! Having a creek in the back yard was the cherry on top! Home was inviting and well stocked, beds were comfortable. Todd & Michelle were always so quick to respond, and super host!!!

The proprerty was scenic and beautiful both inside and outside. The outdoor kitchen was well complimented and frequently taken advantage of. The property owners were personable and met us when we arrived. They were reachable/responsive to a minor issue during our stay. Overall, this was an excellent solution to staying within Custer State Park.
