Fun and fantastic

Had a great day out in the new forest. A couple of coldies at the bar in the evening and a great great breakfast the next day from a wonderful hostess.

Not better but the stairs are a bit steep.

A very enjoyable stay and well looked after - thankyou.

I arrived late and in the dark so staff spotted me arriving and met me outside to take me to my room, even carried my bag! Room was ideal for my requirements after a long drive, and slept well. Continental breakfast was fine and enjoyed meeting Toni. Many thanks for hospitality - will go again next time I am down in this neck of the woods!

This place met my expectations 10/10

Staff was brilliant location was great Bed was soooo comfortable Food was really great had a set three course menu and it was lovely breakfast looked brilliant but as i was getting away sharp i just had coffee and pastry also lovely hearing the owls as i laid in bed thank you for making me welcome keep up the good work

Very comfortable stay with lovely hosts.

Bed are very comfortable! Great value for money. Wish I didn't have to leave so early, would have loved to try the breakfast. Check-in and check-out very easy.

Was quite warm in the room. Even with the windows open and radiators off.

Nothing to complain about.

The location was good, plenty of parking. Nice clean room, good shower, good food and loverly patrons. This is a nice spot, it was a little quiet when we were there but that did not bother me. Good cooked breakfast of a weekend.

Quiet, spacious, well located

The owner was very helpful getting my bags upstairs. Nice big room, clean and well decorated. Very quiet. The breakfast buffet was very impressive. There is a restaurant on site most nights, but I can't report on that as I was too tired to try it. Lots of parking in front. The New Forest is very close. I entered via a side road and met a delightful assortment of pigs, horses and donkeys!

Although the room was big, the en-suite bathroom was a bit more cramped. Everything was there, and accessible, except that the shower door was too close to the sink, which made it a tight squeeze for someone of my excessive girth! The window coverings are blinds, not curtains. Fine if you're used to blinds, but it's been a few decades for me, so it took a while to remember the knack.

Tres Bon!

Lovely room, well decorated with compact but clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. WiFi good, Super continental breakfast. Didn't dine in the evening due to limited budget.

Delightful, restful stay @Le Chateau

Toni and Paul together with their family are extremely welcoming. Everything is clean and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms very well furnished. The evening meals are delicious. The location is central for the forest, Winchester and Beaulieu.

I'd love a full English in the week.

The food all round was excellent not only breakfast , evening meals where first class, room very comfortable including bed ,bathroom had shower which is perfect for us

Luxurious, great value stay in a friendly, truly comfortable hotel, with fantastic food too!

The room was luxurious, extremely well thought out & had its own individual, eclectic style. It was very comfortable with unique furniture & wall coverings. Lighting options were exceptional as I prefer low key so worked perfectly for me, but also adapts well for others wanting more light. Bathroom clean & bright with good size shower. My evening meal was of a high standard & delicious. Good menu choice. Lovely ambience. Despite only offering a Continental Breakfast during the week, it exceeded my expectations. There was a good selection of cereals, bread, pastries etc together with yogurt & an incredible selection of fresh fruit. More than enough to fill you up & start your day well satisfied.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like about the property apart from its location being so close to the main road, as I am quite sensitive to noise. However, I did still sleep well & appreciate it is not something that can really be addressed. warm, friendly environment comfortable, comfy, creamy, delicate, easy, and elastic

Enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

The food. I had lamb skewers with mediterranean vegetables in the evening, which was excellent. The breakfast was very good too and cooked as I had requested it. Very clean room with what looked like, a new bathroom with a corner shower cubicle. Proper thick towels with a full sized bath sheet!

The personnel was very friendly and nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bistro offered very good dinner and English breakfast. Can be recommended! Walking in New forest among the ponies is a really unique experience. Stop by the acres down farm in Lyndhurst for tea and scones!

The hotel is charming but it’s not really a “chateau”, don’t be misled by the name.

stayed for two nights, Paul and Toni, very friendly , breakfast was continental, with a very good choice, including fresh fruit. would definitely stay there again if in the area. had an evening meal the second night , was was very good value for price paid.

am used to a power shower and did find the one in my ensuite poor

Toni and her team are really thoughtful and provide a great service. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and quiet. I had a good night's sleep and a good breakfast. I would definitely go back. Thank you.
