beautiful gardens, attentive, helpful staff. cake and coffee/tea available at check in. Centrally located.
No ventilation in room 12 bathroom so chemicals that were used in the bathroom flooded the room. Eventually when sanitation tab in toilet dissolved it was better. comfortable bedspread but not the traditional fabrics. a bit pricey.

cleanliness and staff
nothing really

The hotel staff is amazing! We actually had to tell them to clean up after us less! The included breakfast was always made to order or fresh buffet items that were served by staff. The bathroom was very large with a vanity desk and a window to let in fresh air. The water pressure was good and the temperature was always at least warm and always comfortable.
The hotel location was nice as well. A short walk from the main square but away from the noise enough that one could take a quiet, mid day siesta. The rooftop terrace provided amazing views! You could actually see the volcano erupt lava in the evening.
We will definitely stay here again when we return to Antigua.
We really had no complaints.

I never ate breakfast but there is coffee, tea, and cake available 24/7, as well as water. I will say, whenever I smelled the food from the restaurant, it smelled very good!!
The wifi was rough, it worked but it was very weak. Also, our rooms were spotless and very clean, but they did smell a bit like cleaning disinfectant. The hotel itself is not very sound proof. I am a sound sleeper but you can hear everything in the room next to you, but that doesn't bother me. Overall, it was a perfect hotel for what we needed!

The breakfast was a typical one and good the hospitality was great and we received a lot of support for anything we requested.

Breakfast was included with our stay and made to order. It was probably one of the best breakfast plates we had while being in Guatemala even though it was the traditional Chapino breakfast (eggs, beans, fried plantain, fruit, juice). The room size was perfect, not too small and not too big. The room included a safe which is important to us when we travel. The hotel also provided complimentary coffee, tea, filtered water and cake everyday (not all hotels do this). The room comes with black out blinds but did not have any other way to allow natural light into the room so we kept it closed the entire time since we didn’t want folks being able to look into the room while we were away or in the room. The landscaping was amazing and we had a little bistro set up right outside our room so we could enjoy the room. When we took an early all day tour to atitlan, the hotel packed us a lunch to take which came in handy, saved us some money too since we didn’t have to buy lunch. This was an amazing little detail by the staff. Staff was really attentive. The place was quiet. It is a little further from the center of town but it was worth the walk. Bedding was beautiful.
If I had to be critical, the only thing that could have been better was the water pressure in the shower and the temperature of the water. We like hot showers and they water was warm to us. This was NOT a deal breaker for us though. We ended up booking the hotel for the remainder of our stay in antigua which was a total of 6 nights. The room could have had a luggage caddy but it didn’t.

Beautiful gardens and small enough that staff knew who I was — an upside for me, as a solo female traveler. Great breakfast, and an intimate, safe environment.
The lack of storage space (no drawers) and exceedingly small bathroom with limited bath products.

The breakfast was delicious. You have your choice of eggs- I had mine scrambled with onions and tomatoes- yummy! Also included- toast, black beans, platanos, fresh fruit, coffee, oj, bacon on occasion. Made to order.
they really do have pound cake and coffee or tea out for you daily. The staff is very helpful, kind, honest and not intrusive in any way.
I liked our room, the beds/pillows/linens were comfortable and it was very quiet and away from street noises. (although some fireworks at night but not too bad) It was a bit of a walk from the main square- but I liked that as I like to walk and a quiet hotel is what I wanted. My legs did start to get sore from all the walking- but it was from the cobblestone streets and that would happen anywhere in Antiqua and affords the city so much charm it's worth it. The courtyard is lovely with lots of flowers and ferns growing- a tranquil place to eat and do some writing. We stayed a whole week, so really got to know it.
It would have been nice to have a larger lobby area with comfy chairs to hang out but the hotel isn't set up that way- no biggie as we were out and about most of the time or resting in our room.
The rooms may need an air purifier and the last day there was a strong smell from the cleaning supplies they used.
I was glad to have air conditioning and if you want to air the room out here are windows that open.
Great hotel and I would definitely stay there again!! Saved lots of money on the breakfast being included. Not all the hotels do that in Antiqua.

just outside the main area, a little quieter, but still easy to walk to most POIs. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, typical local cuisine.
beds could have been more comfortable. Walls are thin, could hear other guests in the halls and common areas from room. Mosquitos easily found their way into the room. Slow wifi

The extra kindness and care of guests was what makes this beautiful hotel stand out. Throughout our stay, complimentary tea, coffee and cake were available at all times. The breakfast was healthy and substantial. The generosity of the late check out was hugely appreciated on a rainy afternoon. The indoor garden is outstanding. The staff were friendly and super-helpful.
That we couldn't stay longer. It would be wonderful if there were some dinner options as the outdoor garden area is beautiful.

The staff was amazing. The hotel has a courtyard in the middle that is so beautiful. Breakfast was so good and the coffee was of such good quality. We were leaving early at 5am on our last day and the staff made us a sandwich for the road. They were so nice!

The breakfast, the amazing garden .
Front desk helpful.
Air freshener is quite strong, unpleasant.
TV channels almost impossible to see, quite blurry.
Towels need to be replaced for new ones.

We LOVED the incredibly beautiful courtyard, studded with giant hanging ferns! The breakfast was lovely, and the location was perfect for us.
The room was a little stuffy because the only window opened to the courtyard.
