First and foremost, the staff was stellar! Everyone was eager and happy to help. The room was comfy and very modern. I was on the top floor and had an amazing view of the city. The continental breakfast had enough choices and variety to make my stay even more enjoyable.

Good hotel in a good location, just a little walk from princes Street. The rooms are quite small and fairly basic but this is explained in the descriptions. We had a ‘cosy room with no window’ but it was spacious enough. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities but aside from that, had everything we needed.
4.0 / 10.0
Hotel itself was fine and helpful staff but a bit too high tech for me - everything was qr code based then touch pads for everything and I couldn't get anything to work. Also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room - I was gutted.

The room was smaller than expected for the price we paid, hardly any storage space. Bedside cabinet between the beds would have been more ideal.

It was a nice experience staying at Point A, it’s 20 minutes walking from Edinburgh’s Castle, the checking was smooth and the staff was very friendly.

Bathroom floor was ice cold.
The room was very small. Im 195cm the bed was to short.
The breakfast was however decent.

Loved that the hotel was walking distance to all we wanted to do. We are tall, average people and found the bathroom a bit small to navigate. It worked for our needs though. (Sleep and shower) Would stay again.

Comfortable clean rooms, with aircon working well. Sensible beer prices but I did get charged for a machine coffee in the morning

Spotlessly clean hotel, nice rooms, very comfortable beds, new towels, large TV, good toilet and shower room. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental and good selection for all tastes. Easy check in and lovely bar area. Recommend

Room far too small for a couple with a suitcase but other than that good
3.0 / 10.0
Modern rooms but VERY compact, anyone bigger than average build would struggle to use the shower with the bi folding door. Also not much room in the sleeping area for luggage so if you’re more than one person you will struggle for room.
Breakfast wasn’t much to write home about, although in fairness they do state it is only continental and complimentary, not much seating capacity either so don’t go at a busy time.
All in all don’t book this hotel if you like to relax and enjoy hotel amenities, this is basically just a place to sleep and nothing else, pay a bit extra and have full facilities.

Advanced technology hotel, clean and comfortable, nice lobby. In the room, there isn't a kettle or table. 10 minutes walking from the center

I’m 6’3” and found the bed slightly on a smaller side

Stayed in a few point a and this was the best by far, although irritating there are now read and coffee facilities

Room was clean and modern but a little on the small size. IMO rivals that of a larger Hub by Premier Inn room but more sleek. In some cases depending on what’s on in Edinburgh Point A can be overly expensive for what it is. Good location; 5 mins from Haymarket and the West End.

Our economy rooms were quite small but very clean and comfortable. If you need tissues, take them as they are not included. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly.
We were about a 15-18 min walk to Edinburgh Castle and Old Town. Convenient to bus and tram stops.

Beautiful room.
Only thing missing was a kettle in the room.

The hotel is nice but a bit of a walk from the very centre. Of course it is not far but it is a walk.
I especially liked that you can always have water and have your bottle refilled.
I didn't find necessary, though, to have coffee paper cup as an option at breakfast unless it is requested for take aways. It just encourages pollution in my view.

This is fairly average for the new breed of technology-based hotels: very few staff, limited services, new and clean but missing something. In particular, room storage options, in-room refrigerators, etc. Front desk was friendly.

Great staff, Danata, Roberta and Alisa were exceptional!! The room was very clean and the building was clean! We felt very safe and walked every day and evening! The only thing that was shocking was how small the room was! 7x7!! To look in your bag you had to put it on the bed! $380.00/ night cdn.

Fantastic location, lovely continental breakfast, and very clean and modern. Rooms are small for the price.

Tiny room with no desk. Hardly any space to move around. No room servicing (even after three nights) i would not stay here again. No cooked breakfast. Only continental. Not worth £12 for a pain au choclate and a glass of orange juice, in my view, despite the pastries seemingly freshly baked.
No telephone to call reception in room, no shaver socket to charge my shaver/electric toothbrush.
I did not complain at the hotel - felt pointless. I got what i paid for i suppose.. but for over £200 a night, i expected better. Staff, where i did interact, to ask for ice, were helpful.

We were really pleased with this hotel chain that we'd never used before. Super clean, efficient, well lit, heating and air conditioning worked great. The bathrooms were well organized, but still UK-small. Great location that was out of the fray, but still close to old city. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Super service, great place for RARE, small but clean room
6.0 / 10.0
The room is cramped and lacks proper soundproofing, allowing you to hear people walking and talking inside.
8.0 / 10.0
Though staff and property condition was good, the room size is very small especially for the price being paid
8.0 / 10.0
We did not realise that the room was very small. There was hardly any room to put our carry on. Staff was nice though. Close to the train station and restaurants. However, we would have paid extra for a bigger room.

The property and the staff are outstanding. We had an excellent experience with the staff that went above and beyond. I absolutely will be back to this spot or to another in the UK.

It is a very eco efficient property in a great location easily walkable to grassmarket . Rooms are small but has most amenities you need ,including a safe and hair dryer. The breakfast was really good considering it’s considered continental. Staff super helpful. The only concern is that housekeeping is only every 3 days which I think is too long - should be every second.

The breakfast was worth the spend. Nice walk to the castle and royal mile. Super easy to get to from the airport.

Very convenient for tram/train stops at Haymarket. 5 minute way up a slight hill. Quiet for city centre yet still a good variety of eateries and pubs in Morrison st and Lothian rd, within a few minutes. Small convenience store across the road to pick up emergency supplies.
Hotel itself was spotless. Lovely lounge area for chilling. There was a small bar but we didn't use it, preferring to go out to local bar - The Mad Hatter in Torphicen st - lovely! I had checked in online earlier but this didn't appear to work, however a helpful member of staff took care of this.
Breakfast was good. Only a continental selection available but all very fresh and a wide variety of pastries, cereals (with different types of milk) ham and cheese. Also warm savoury muffin/pastry/quiche type things. Tasty. Gluten free cereals also available.
Bad points - toast would have been nice for breakfast. The small, windowless rooms really are SMALL, you have to shuffle side ways up the side of the bed next to the wall. Bed also a true double....cosy! We were only staying one night so no big deal but I would not like to put up with it for longer.

There was a confusion about our booking that we needed a handicap room. We were given a room with a small window and a bathroom with a shower unit that was immovable therefore impossible to take a shower. We were moved to a different room which looked just like the room that we booked for 2 nights. We had to move the second morning to a handicapped room. Which we accepted as the only other option was a room without a window. I believe the confusion started when I had to change the original to different dates. I had to speak to an Expedia agent and she rebooked my booking

Fantastic panoramic view from our cosy twin with view. Great tech controlling temp and mood lighting. Large space around sofa so able to sit and watch the world go by in comfort. Housekeeping every 3 days so no worry of being disturbed and breakfast available until 10.30am great for taking mornings slow although there were at least 3 cafes serving breakfast within 5 mins walk.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast, especially loved the daily cappuccinos and fresh fruits. Rooms are modern and very clean.

My room was on the groundfloor, without windows. It was noisy because of sounds coming from other bathrooms.
