Was a lovely apartment easy to get in and out lift was good had a lovely time

Great central location and easy access to shops and restaurants. There was a lot of noise through the night but that is a price to pay for staying downtown. Apartment was modern and comfy and we enjoyed our stay

Make sure if more than two staying, bedding is provided and clean, and instructions for bed sofa would have been handy

Very enjoyable stay at the Royal House Luxury Apartments. The entrance, the lift, the hallway and the apartment was very clean and very secure. Bosch appliances and everything you would need in the kitchen. Decor and appliances brand new and luxurious. Bed and sofa comfortable. The location of the apartment is right in the centre of Chester next to the city walls with the added bonus of a Tesco express(across the road) and an on site coffee shop with lovely bacon ciabatta and flat white coffee! The host messaged a lot asking if we were enjoying our stay and asking if they could do anything for us but we were too busy enjoying ourselves to reply! Highly recommended

An amazing apartment located in the perfect spot for walking Chester. Super clean, very quiet and well appointed. Communication was fantastic. Superb value for money.

Arrived at 3pm to room still being cleaned. Arrived back at 3.45pm to room still being finished off. Missed lunch reservation for 3.30pm. Floor was sopping wet when we got in. Slipped in bathroom due to this. Not cleaners fault but looked like she had to rush. Bedding didn’t seem too fresh. No way to know if it was actually changed. I hope so. No toiletries. Big massive smear of snot left on light shade on bedroom side drawer. Good location. Poor communication from host. Apartment isn’t too bad.

Pre check in email was very useful about how to find the nearest car park, but missed the part about not being able to book the parking for more than 24 hours so you have to sit for your current session to expire before paying again. Check out time was incorrect stating 1100 when booking email stated by noon. I reply to confirm but didn’t hear back from property. Messaged and called to try and arrange a late check out but no answer or reply via the message facility on here.
Panel missing from bathroom ceiling and someone’s underwear in the wardrobe. Apartment was generally clean but we had to empty dish washer on arrival. Only one wine glass, one prosecco glass and three normal glasses but plenty of plates, cups and cutlery.
Although I’ve noted the above, I would stay here again and apartment and building is well kept.

Great location, all information provided before the stay, lovely apartment. Definitely will be back!

Very clean and comfortable. A mirror in the lounge would be appreciated where the plug sockets are so you can dry your hair. Also a pillow for the sofa bed rather than using the cushions . Apart from that would definitely recommend and stay here again as 5 minutes from the town center

It was amazing great spacious apartment Very quiet, good, clean also good location the only thing i would say is it needed a plug socket near to the mirror in the bedroom and it could do with a fresh painting where the wall's have been scuffed throughout but we would definitely stay again

Horrible stay at "Royal Luxury Apartments". It needs a deep clean as the smell was very unpleasant and it hits you the moment you walk in.The walls need painting, there are too many marks. The sofa-bed needs replacing, it is filthy, dusty, dirty and not fit for purpose. We were not even given bedding for the sofa-bed! The bedding is dated, all bubbly and should not be given to any guest.

Duvet was dirty

Really enjoyed my experience, was very fast and efficient. A nice modern space in the heart of the city. Only downside is there was a bottle bin from a neighbouring bar outside my rooms window, which kept waking me up throughout the night. Would stay here again.

Amazing location, and a really good rate.
Good instructions for getting in and out.
Sofa bed was OK, but the double bed was spot on.

Arrived to find a nice apartment but soon turned to disappoint when we realised there was no table to eat off even though it showed tables in the pictures of our apartment we was supposed to have. Not easy getting 2 children to eat there food sat on the floor as we didn't want them to get food on the white sofa. Then it came to night time the blinds let all the light in so everyone struggled to sleep definitely could do with curtains or black out blinds to be put up because the street lights are far to bright. No instructions at all how to sort the sofa bed was supposed to be a double but it definitely was not the sofa bed was so uncomfortable ended up with a sore neck and back from sleeping on it felt like I was led on a hard floor. The noise at night is just to much to be able to relax and sleep sirens going off and people screaming and shouting could literally here everything so we ended up with 2 restless nights sleep. The shower in the apartment was aload of rubbish kept going hot then literally a second later it was freezing cold and wouldn't go hot again. We was very upset and disappointed at our stay at this apartment

Apartment was clean and already had a lot of the things that we needed, including utensils. However, the heating was not working properly which meant that the apartment was slightly cold during our stay and the heating for the shower would go on and off which unfortunately meant that one of us had to take a cold shower.

Arrangements were very easy and the location was ideal

First impressions of the apartment was brilliant, excellent location, very clean and modern and fresh looking. Great little kitchen area with full size fridge/freezer. Tv with netflix and WIFI was very good.
However, the apartment was very warm, when the windows were open it was fine but when it came to going to sleep they had to be closed because the street noise was extremely loud, also could have done with some kind of black out blinds/curtain because of the huge street light right outside the window which meant the apartment was like day time all through the night. The bed was like sleeping on a rock it was so uncomfortable, the sofa bed was slightly more comfortable but as we were a family of 4 we had to do roations to sleep on it for the few nights we were there so we could all have some kind of sleep. The negatives kind of outweigh the positive for me especially the noise and sleeping comfort which means i wouldnt stay again which is a shame because it was a lovely clean place in a perfect location.

Was supposed to receive an email 24 hrs prior to check in with instructions for access etc. Never received any instructions, arrived and was locked outside with no reception (which in all fairness was advertised) tried to contact the number provided and rang out and went to voicemail. Eventually got a text message from the contact number but then provided the wrong code for the door lock. No information given regarding apartment and no Wi-Fi password given.
Apartment itself was clean and tidy however the blinds don’t block out the light and from the bedroom there’s no top on the wall so you can see the light direct from the main living area which wasn’t very pleasant. Due to being on a top floor it was very loud with the windows open but also very hot with them closed with no fans or air conditioning available.
Overall very disappointing mainly with the communication. However, I can’t thank hotels.com enough as their agent tried to contact the property for us and was going to relocate us due to not being able to contact. Kind of wish we had went with the relocation!

Stayed with my partner and little one! Great little place! Ideal for what we needed. Tesco express across the road. Was great seeing that everything we needed where there for cooking, drinks etc. Didn’t personally cook there but everything was there to do so! Beds were comfortable and clean. Little bit noisy on the traffic side (but we are use to being in a small quiet village) and obviously nothing can be done about the noises! The only thing I would suggest was to get some curtains as it was on the bright side. Other from that a great find for a good price!!

Excellent for a stay near the walls of Chester
2 min walk to city centre
Great location

Everything was lovely - however there was no cutlery to be found at all and the lock on the front door needs attention. Very difficult to lock when you're leaving the apartment.

Apartment was clean and had a nice kitchen with good appliances. Location was brilliant.

Location excellent.
First impressions good.
Incredibly noisy, if you want sleep, not the place to stay, woken up 05.30 to 06.00 daily by deliveries to shops, buses, traffic etc. For noise this is probably out of the hundreds of city centre stays one of the worst.
When we stayed it was a very cold weekend with snow, the heating was not good enough and limited by the owner. One evening we had to sit on the sofa with a duvet.
The blinds to the windows are wooden slatted, which do not cut out light or noise. Should really have black out blinds or curtains.
Other issues.
No bed tables, though there was an email requesting that they could drop them off. They never appeared.
Ironing board but no iron
Bathroom cleaning products used by the owner where vile with a disgusting acetone smell.
Received email about ensuring the apartment was left clean, however the sofa and lounge mat were stained, the bathroom had black hair in the shower and a stain on the cupboards, dust/ dirt on skirtings when we arrived. There was only a dust pan and brush provided for cleaning.
We received an email from the owner asking for a 10 review rating in return for giving us a good review. This is not acceptable and we left one day early as we needed some sleep.

The apartment was located perfectly for a short break in Chester, 2 minutes walk from the city centre and the city walls and plenty of eateries nearby. The apartment itself was a little small for us (3 adults and 1 baby) but suite us fine for a couple of days however be warned the bedroom and living room were open plan so there was an incomplete wall between the two which meant being super quiet while the baby went to sleep! Kitchen was well equipped however no table of chairs so be prepared to eat on ur lap (or in the baby’s case, on the floor ;) ).
I’d recommend the apartment for a short stay for a couple but perhaps somewhere a little bigger would be more suited to more than 2.

The apartment was freezing cold and had a damp smell. The boiler is obviously set too low as even when I turned the thermostat up, the shower was freezing. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling and dust on the floor. The mattress is rock hard

Really friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely apartment too with all the amentities you'd want in a good location.
Convenient Tesco express outside the front door for groceries.
