About this villa rental
7 bed, 6 bath, screened windows. Small quiet gated neighborhood. Gardens.
Casa del Oasis is about a ten minute walk to the Mercado, the artisan market and the main grocery store. 15 minutes to the center of town.
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, at the end of a private gated drive. It is an easy walk to the park in the center of town, all the ruins and churches, as well as the many wonderful places to eat and shop.
The property offers secure off road parking for one car.
The house is laid out in the traditional Spanish colonial 'U' shape with an enclosed courtyard which includes a fountain, lovely plants, outside dining and seating areas.
There are four bedrooms and five baths downstairs in the main part of the house. Directly across the courtyard is the laundrywing. Here are the 2 of the fourh bedrooms newely renovated
Upstairs is the master bedroom/bath, as well as an exit to the terrace with dining and relaxing areas. There is also a trundle bed in the upstairs hall.
The bottom part of the 'U' contains the living room, dining room, kitchen and garage area. All furnishing are newer or antiques. There is WIFI and cable TV.
You will find several seating areas on the upstairs terrace and a small quiet garden to one side of the house that is a nice space to sit and read as well as the main courtyard.
We have several levels of security that start with a gated entrance to our neighborhood of about 12 houses. Once inside, the private road leads to our house where we have a keyed gate to enter the property, then another locked gate and door to enter the house areas. Within the house and garden are there is wire. We have owned the house for 2 years and have never had a break in.
Having rented houses in Antigua before buying this home, we stayed in some lovely places but they were either very noisy, had poor ventilation, lack of security, impure water, too far from town or just not comfortable. We have made this home as comfortable and convenient as we can for ourselves and our guests.
Airport pickup can be arranged. We recommend you using our driver since he know the house locations and is in regular contact with the manager. If you are staying for a month or more, we will provide airport pickup free of charge. We can also arrange groceries to be in the home when you arrive and a cook if you need one.
Hotel Soleil is close by and has pool access for a fee. There are also other hotels with pools that are available for a small fee.
When staying for a month or more, we will pay the first $75 a month of the electrical bill. Electricity is expensive here so we encourage renters to conserve. A months electrify can run about $150- $175.

Garden is spectacular: even better than in pictures. Hummingbird kept us company every day. Beautiful views of volcanoes from the balcony. Very quiet and spacious. Kitchen was pretty well equipped for cooking. About 15 minutes walk to center of town. It was easy to check in: the owner communicated clearly ahead of time by email, text, and whatsapp. Good internet service, too.

Our family had a great stay here. The house is huge but cozy with lots of comfy places to hang out. The gardens are beautiful and the property manager is very helpful and responsive. Gated community very close to town. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property, very secure with great living spaces and beautiful gardens. Especially enjoyed hanging out with family in what we called our green living room. Owner and property manager were great to work with. Had an issue with Wi Fi and Dennis came over and took care of the problem immediately. Great time in Antigua.

This is a beautiful home tucked away in a quiet and secure development. Although busy streets are close by, the minute you enter the gates it becomes very quiet. The walk to Central Park will take about 20”, same for groceries and Mercado. The grounds are beautiful and maintained perfectly.
The home is spacious, way too big for only two people! It is kept spic and span by the housekeeper.
There is no dishwasher, and there is a dog that barks quite a lot just next door, but otherwise the listing is just as described!

We were so happy with our stay here. Very secure and worry free. Not only were our hosts available anytime but they also had a wonderful friend that lived across the road that was so willing to help us with anything that we needed. The house was stocked with everything you would need. I only wish we had more time to enjoy this property. Beds were comfortable, clean, I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou Silvia and Juan for sharing this beautiful home.

Overall nice property with beautiful views. Beds and pillows hard and were not comfortable and doesn’t really sleep the number advertised unless you are traveling with small children. 3 twin beds were incredibly small and one was a not very sturdy bunk bed in a not so ideal location “maids quarters” off the laundry , and water tank room. Kitchen also could be better equipped for those guests that choose to cook.

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying in this house. It is located in a gated community which made me feel very safe because I was traveling with my little boys. The tranquility we all felt was very much needed. I will definitely try to stay here again.

We stayed with big family group and for the most part it was pretty comfortable. The house is beautiful, clean, and in a good location. The house well stocked and furnished. The patio and garden area were great spaces for our family to hangout and spend time. The view are amazing! The host/manager Dennis was responsive and very helpful. The internet was not working when we arrived and he worked quickly to get it resolved. The only other concern were two out of 4 toilets didn’t flush very well. Overall a great experience and would love to return.

Antigua is beautiful. The people are friendly and the city is safe. But the best part of our trip was this house. Our large group drank coffee and played cards in the courtyard all morning. We then were off on a tour or walking the city. We were back in the evening to have dinner at the large dining room table. If Antigua is your destination, this is where you should stay.

We took my mom to celebrate her 60th birthday and decided to do it close to la Antigua. We were thrilled and happy about everything. The house is beautiful it has enough room to fit 10 up to 12 people. We were very pleased and satisfied.

Great experience for our first trip to Guatemala. Our family of five (all adults) was more than comfortable in this large, beautifully traditional home. Everyone had a place of their own if space or solitude was needed. The outdoor spaces are great with views of the erupting volcano!
The only tiny issues we experienced were no extra garbage bags in kitchen or 2 bathrooms so needed to call for some. (As you don't flush t.p. in Guatemala) Also the stopper in the sink was broken so couldn't do dishes effectively and house keeping only comes every few days. Not big enoughs issue to keep us from giving this stay a 5 star rating. Recommend to anyone especially larger families with older or adult children or smaller teams of people coming for serving opportunities in or near Antigua.

We chose this home based on our needs for several families with multiple generations coming together for the holidays. It was perfect and safe for everyone from children to the elderly! Beautiful gardens, filtered water, comfy beds and friendly staff! Added Bonus was the terrace space to watch firework shows for Christmas and New Years! We also hired a cook to make breakfast for us several days which was delicious, highly recommend!

Our family party of 10, ages 25 to 78, truly enjoyed this beautiful, spacious, inviting home. The housekeeper and the gardener were very nice; both do an amazing job keeping the property looking great. The kitchen was nice for big meal preparation and the large dining table was much appreciated. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and the caretaker was very attentive and helpful. We are thankful for our stay here in Casa Oasis.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Oasis in Antigua Guatemala! The home is everything in the picture and more - very large, multiple bedrooms, would very comfortably house a party of 12. Ideal for large families or mission teams serving in Guatemala. This home has features the North American/European traveler will particularly enjoy - excellent security (we felt very secure during our stay), fully sanitized water out of the tap (VERY hard to find in Guatemala!), and screens over the windows (if you visit Guatemala, particularly in the rainy season, YOU HAD BETTER CHECK this particular feature!). Denis, the property manager, lives right across the street, speaks excellent English (as do the owners, who live in the US), and attended to our every need. The maid service was excellent as well. Thanks so much to our hosts, and we hope we'll have the opportunity to visit again!

My family stayed at this wonderful home for three nights earlier in March. It truly is a great place to stay. The small gated neighborhood is very safe and very quiet yet in close walking distance to central Antigua (plus along the way you will pass many fantastic restaurants and very cool things to see). We have stayed in other homes in Antigua on earlier trips, but will certainly be back to this one. Also, the water is filtered in the home so you can drink directly from the faucets which is REALLY nice. I highly recommend this home.

Casa Oasis was a great place to stay with my family in Antigua. It has a private entrance and plenty of places in the property to relax. The dining room was large enough for my extended family and even a few guests. There are plenty of bath rooms and the 3 courtyards and one deck area were ample to provide spaces for private conversations. From the location we easily walked to the center of Antigua and were very close to the markets. My family from USA, Korea and Guatemala all loved this place when they stayed or visited. We would stay again

Everyone involved in this process has been wonderful. From my initial dealings with the owners to the lady who cooked a couple of our meals there, I have enjoyed every encounter. The property is comfortable, clean, secure, and especially beautiful.
Just a few blocks and easy walking distance from the Mercado de Artesanias and lots of restaurants it was easy to get around in town.
We will be returning.

Casa Oasis is situated a few easily walkable blocks from the central square in La Antigua, yet this distance provides for a quiet retreat. All town services are easily accessible. Security is excellent with voice/camera contact to secure front gate. There is available off-street parking, garage attached to villa. The property manager lives just across the street, itself a tranquil, gated cul de sac, a further remove from city street. The pictures of the villa's interior are truthful, although the total reality is somehow better; that most rare case where indeed the " the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."
Wifi is strong thought the structure, including the interior courtyard. For English speakers, cable TV provides CNN and BBC, and US news on a Miami station. The kitchen is complete, having all the service necessary to a large group. The washer and dry, off the maid 's quarters, are new. The bedrooms and baths are commodious, the master bedroom and bath, on the second story, superb, with a delightful balcony, overlooking the inner courtyard, that is suitable for a morning coffee, afternoon glass of wine, or simply for sitting and reading or gazing at the surrounding hills. All the windows have screens. There is rooftop access that includes seating, volcano views, and a hot tub for two.
The courtyard, complete with fountain, and side garden have well tended, green lawns, visited in these climes by hummingbirds and butterflies. The maid Angelica and the gardener Abelino do a superb job of maintaining the property.
I have travelled extensively throughout Hispanic America, and having rented many apartments and casas for extended stays, I warrant this property to be my best choice, whether for a couple who simply enjoy the ambience of a full house or for a family or group of friends who likewise will find roomy yet private quarters at Casa Oasis.
This villa evidences touches of a genuine home, carefully and thoughtfully prepared by the owners. If you should decide to make it "your home" for period, you will come away afterward most satisfied with your choice. ( Duration of our stay: Two months )

A group of friends and myself were lucky enough to be able to stay at Casa del Oasis November 24th - December 2nd and it was nothing short of amazing! We were able to spend the majority of our evenings when we weren't out exploring. The home is also an extremely short walk Parque Central & Mercado, perfect location!

I stayed here with a group of friends for a little over a week and had an absolutely wonderful time.
The house is very beautiful and has a great sense of calmness. Perfect as a vacation home for a week or longer.
We were here as a group of friends which worked great since the various couples could grab the different bedrooms and still hang out all together.
Location is great. A quick walk to the market and no more than 15 minutes walk to the Antigua central park.

Our stay in the beautiful Casa del Oasis was absolutely perfect. We came as a large group of friends to Guatemala, and this home suited our needs perfectly - with access to a kitchen we could cook for ourselves if needed, and the amazing courtyard offered a perfect spot for socializing. Bonus: we all had our own rooms and bathrooms...! The house is close to the market and an easy walk to Parque Central and everything Antigua, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. All in all, I'd say we were well taken care of - thank you so much!!

My family and I (7 of us) had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home recently. Everything went very smooth, from our pick up at the airport to the rental service in Antigua. Victoria, the maid was kind enough to clean up after us 3 days a week. This was our 6th trip to Antigua and the showers had the hotest water of any house that we have ever stay in. It was safe and secure and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for relaxing experience while in Antigua.
