We are happy to offer this exceptional retreat in Santa Fe! With 7000 square feet of indoor space, this home is perfect for groups or families of up to 14 seeking a relaxed retreat in a quiet country setting.
Minutes from Santa Fe’s downtown plaza and galleries of Canyon road, this property sits on three acres in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood just off the Veterans Memorial Highway Southwest of the Plaza in Santa Fe which also makes it convenient to the Santa Fe Opera, shopping and the Santa Fe Airport.
There are 5 bedrooms:
1.The Primary suite with a king bed, TV and a twin daybed (sleeps 3)
2.The zen room with a queen bed (sleeps 2)
3.The Mountain room with a queen bed (sleeps 2)
4.The Courtyard suite with its own full kitchen is one huge room with a king bed and a twin daybed. Includes TV(sleeps 3)
5.The Bunk room has 2 twin beds and queen pull down Murphy bed (sleeps 4)
The large living room is oriented around a kiva style fireplace. There is plenty of seating and a 75" television.
Dedicated dining room with seating for 12.
A well equipped and fully stocked kitchen with Viking range, warming oven, wine fridge and a granite island with additional seating.
Outdoor spaces include a year-round heated 50 ft.lap pool with electric cover. Covered porch with sectional seating and a large arbor-covered table which seats 14-perfect for dining al fresco. Enjoy the traditional Swedish sauna or relax in the hot tub with its soothing massage jets.
Owners Blake and Mitty live in the separated and private next door home. We are available if needed and would love to help better your experience if questions should come up, otherwise we provide your group with complete privacy.

The most amazing property anyone in our group of 10 has ever stayed at!

We've been taking vacations with our adult children and grandchildren for 5 years, and this is the best place we've every stayed. The house and grounds are beautiful, there was plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen is well equipped, the view is gorgeous, and the kids loved the pool. There are many lovely places to relax outside, and the inside stayed cool even on some pretty hot days. Blake was very responsive to questions and some minor problems. We'd happily stay here again. The only inconvenience is that it's a bit of a trek to a grocery store, so you just have to be organized and plan your shopping well -- but the wonderful view makes up for it.

Superb (as the family said).
We knew the house would be beautiful from the photos online, but the professionally landscaped gardens around the house were unexpected. The views of the local mountains were gorgeous as were the sunsets. We had enjoyable evenings by the fire pit and fun days by the pool and hot tub. We were fortunate to be there on the fourth of July to see the fireworks across Santa Fe. Excursions were very easy from the property location and we were always eager to return to spend time relaxing on the patio with a glass of wine.

This home was by far the most amazing place we have stayed. The beds were very comfortable and the entire place was clean & welcoming. We have traveled as a group extensively across the United States & this was our favorite trip. The hikes were so challenging, we hiked Deception Peak & Wheeler Peak. We decided to not take our third hike because we needed a break. Its a short drive to Los Alamos & Bandolier which we highly recommend, especially the Bradbury Museum & Oppenheimer house. Our hosts were very helpful & kind. The amenities were wonderful, the kitchen was the best we’ve experienced in a rental. We enjoyed 3 full 3 course meals, cooking in. It was hard to actually leave for our excursions because we wanted to stay by the pool, sauna & hot tub. We would all stay here again & hope to in the future. Thank you!!

We have stayed in a variety of vacation homes and host an annual womens retreat. This home is by far the most beautiful house we have ever stayed at. Everyone had an amazing stay. There was ample room for different activities. The attention to detail in all the spaces was a delight to experience. It was clean and well stocked. We needed nothing. Blake was so responsive and kind. We will def be booking this space again! Thank you so much for a magical weekend.

As the host of a rejuvenating sound bath session for twelve of my closest companions, I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating space.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by an atmosphere of tranquility and warmth. The common areas, thoughtfully designed and tastefully furnished, invited us to unwind and connect with each other. This house exceeded our expectations and we did not want to leave this house. Everything was wonderful, the only thing I can say is that it is a drive to everything and 1 hour drive to the mountain. Overall though, would stay here again and highly recommend!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful property. It's such a great location with so many amenities - you don't even want to leave the property - but not far at all to drive into town. We've rented this for a girls trip and also for a couples trip and had a wonderful time with each group!

Somehow the rental was even better than the pictures! The check-in instructions and communication leading up to our stay was great and once we arrived check-in was easy.
The property itself was beautiful, clean, and perfect for a large group of friends. Plenty of space so we never felt on top of each other. All of the little details in and outside made the stay that much more enjoyable: bathrobes in each room, blankets outside, etc.

We absolutely loved renting this stunning home. The home is beautifully decorated, incredibly well-stocked and felt very spoiling in so many ways. We especially enjoyed the heated pool, sauna, hot tub and gas fire pit. So many lovely details including blankets for cool evenings, beach towels for swim or sauna, lovely platters and glassware in the kitchen….four stars all the way!

Beautiful well maintained property. Excellent support from on-site manager. Kitchen had everything, as did outdoors. Regulation pool table a bonus. Lots of areas for six adults and five children 6-14 to congregate or separate. We had Ned Laventall, a private chef, in twice who did a great job. Would come again.

We absolutely loved our time here - the pictures don’t do the property justice. The owners have thought of everything … the house is superbly outfitted and decorated, we felt completely at home. Our kids loved the turfed outdoor space and exploring around the property. Highly recommend!

It's hard to come up with enough superlatives to describe our perfect family reunion week at this house. We had a mixed group of adults and small children, and it was a wonderful place for every single one of us. Gorgeous house with lots of nooks and corners to enjoy - the house is spectacular and was super clean and welcoming. Blake was so kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. He was very responsive and readily available. We loved the pool, the outdoor dining spaces, the fantastic views, the comfortable bedrooms, and the two kitchens. Very close to everything Santa Fe has to offer, and removed enough to feel like a true getaway. Highly recommend this exceptional place!

Fantastic home with many living areas and bedrooms. Owners were extremely helpful in getting us started on our vacation. It was well stocked with all items needed for a top notch family time! We especially enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and massive fire pit. You cannot beat the views and the impressive atmosphere of this home. Thank you!

Cleanliness and maintenance of property was horrifying!!! Rent this property at your own risk.
Upon check in we were greeted by several swarms of ants that were feasting on cherry carcasses and juice left behind. Pulled out daybed to nest of ants. Hundreds of dead gnats covered the baseboard heaters. Bedrooms had broken glass on floor, Jelly beans and a dirty glass on rug. Refrigerators weren’t washed inside and food remnants on floor. Dishes were covered in greasy, coagulated food and forks had dried egg on them.
We spent first night of our vacation cleaning our rented “chateau”.
Next up, there was NO HOT WATER!!!!! Long story short, both water heaters had to be replaced and it wasn’t until day 3 of our 6 night stay that we could take a hot shower!
All linens and towels were wet, smelled of mildew. We had to wash/dry all linens/towels. That’s when we found out why they were wet. The dryer wasn’t drying. Vent tube that runs from dryer to outside was clogged. We had to go buy a screwdriver to remove tube, clean it out and reattach. We spent days washing/drying sheets/towels.
Hosts were equally as horrified as we were. They promised to “make things right”. Day two they wrote us saying they were no longer comfortable with us in the house while all these things were going wrong. They told us they were canceling our reservation and to find other accommodations!
We wanted to stay as finding accommodations for 14 was going to be nightmare. They said VRBO MIGHT be able to find us another house. At this late date we couldn’t fathom having to move everyone.
Then the straw broke the camels back.. the heated pool (entire reason we chose this place) wasn’t heated. Now we wanted out, but it was too late.
Owners were made aware of everything that went wrong and they had a list of excuses from not being able to find good cleaning people to heating the pool cost $3 grand a month and they might not offer it anymore. We wanted a refund and they refused. Didn’t offer any compensation of any kind. We went back and forth with them for weeks.. provided pictures, videos and accurate account of all that went wrong.
They dealt with this situation in a unprofessional and morally corrupt way. They did not provide what they advertised, did not properly maintain their property yet had no issue charging premium price for subpar conditions. When called on it, they failed miserably.
I need a vacation from my “vacation”.

This home is located in the hills above Santa Fe. It feels remote & private, but is only 15 minutes away from pretty much anywhere in Santa Fe.
You can get a great idea from the photos on the listing - they are accurate (if maybe not quite doing justice to how beautiful Blake & Mitty's house is)! So, here are the things the photos don't show:
-Your hosts have thought of everything. There's plenty of toiletries, soap, towels, etc.
-There are incredible amenities for everyone. In addition to the sauna, hot tub, and pool, Blake & Mitty have professional-grade binoculars, a Viking range & oven, an excellent selection of pots, pans, cookware, etc, staples like salt & pepper
-This is simply one of the most beautifully designed places I have ever stayed. Every room & every element is intentional & functional.

This home was a perfect and spacious escape for both our families to rest up and enjoy some quiet before the Christmas madness! Tons of space… both families had their own “wings” in the house. Loved it!

Any questions directed to the manager or the owners was answered almost immediately. Once we arrived, we had a couple of questions and Blake came over right away to explain things. Was the house well stocked? YES! Plenty of pots/pans/dishes/glasses/tissues/toilet paper/ paper towels/hair dryers/laundry soap/dishwasher detergent. Every bedroom has two fabulous robes hanging in the closet for your use. No skimping here like we've had at other rentals. . There were 13 of us from age 5 to 68 for the Thanksgiving week. Plenty of room to spread out. Only a 20 minute drive to the Plaza. Beautiful sunsets and star gazing. It really was a fabulous home with lots of unique character and lovely outdoor spaces. We didn't get a chance to meet Mitty, but Blake felt like family after our first encounter. Would highly recommend!

We cannot say enough about this stay! Book- immediately and without hesitation! We’ve VRBO’d many places but this was truly an epic experience. There is room for the whole family- and the outdoor spaces and landscaping are beyond compare. From the youngest of our group (6) to the oldest (87)- there was something for everyone- and all were thrilled with the accommodations. Excellent linens and beds- quiet neighborhood- the best appointed VRBO home ever. (They even have a chafing dish and fuel! Any spice, pan or utensil you could imagine- it’s here for you.) The owners were next door, but we never did have the pleasure of meeting them to thank them personally. They gave us our privacy while being ‘on call’ should we have had a need. We hope to be able to visit again- this amazing home is firmly at the top of our ‘repeat’ list! It only took us 15 minutes to reach the plaza- and we made that trip multiple times, though admittedly it was hard to leave the paradise found within these walls to do so. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING stay! Thank you!

My siblings and spouses stayed in this beautiful home for 3 nights in October. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together as we live all over the country. The weather did not cooperate but the fireplace made up for it. We cooked, ate, laughed, and caught up. Perfect! Thanks for your hospitality!

This is a super property overlooking the city of Santa Fe. It is spacious both inside and outside and easily accommodated our group of eight. It's about 15 minutes from the historic district and other shopping; a quick 10 minutes to airport. The view is wonderful especially at sunset and around the firepit in the evening. We ate several meals outside under the pergola which has a large table that seats 12; on cooler evenings we enjoyed the lovely dining area seating the same number. The heated lap pool and hot tub were clean and very accessible plus our hosts provide plenty of large pool towels! There is a covered outdoor seating area just off the dining room where we could gather and enjoy coffee in the morning or a late afternoon snack. We ended up spending a good portion of our four day stay at home because it was so lovely and relaxing. We like to cook in and that worked out well too. We provided the basics and found plenty of spices and other condiments in the well stocked pantry. We have stayed in multiple houses over the years as a group of 8-10 adults and we agreed this was the best one with regard to amenities, accommodation of larger groups, beautiful decor, comfortable beds, and overall luxury. It will be hard to duplicate this experience elsewhere. Thanks so much to Blake and Mitty for paying attention to the details in preparing the property for our visit and making us feel so at home. We loved it.

The most magical house and property. Truly so special!! Blake could not have been more pleasant and accommodating to our group. House is stocked with everything you need, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, the beds are luxurious and so many great seating areas to gather with a large group. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. We were on a girls trip of 10 and everything worked out perfectly.
For starters, the actual house is enormous, clean, beautifully decorated, and had seemingly endless places to sit and hang out as a group. We used every single amenity easily (Blake showed us how upon arrival): from the fire pit, to the pool, the hot tub, and the sauna. The main kitchen (and the second one) are fully stocked with everything you’d ever need to cook a big meal - tons of pots and pans, etc. And the icing on the cake was that there were fresh bathrobes for all 10 of us, making this even more of a relaxing trip.
Blake was responsive, helpful, and friendly - and checkout was a breeze. 11/10 would recommend this to any group!!

Amazing home!
This house is beautiful and the outdoor amenities are wonderful. The beds were all very comfortable and there were so many lovely spaces to enjoy and relax in. We had an issue with the fireplace, which was totally our own fault, and the property manager was there right away to help out - so friendly and nice! The house is an easy drive to the Plaza and other amenities and there are some very nice walks near the house. All of the members of our party are ready to rent here again for another fun trip!

Beautiful home, great communication with property managers
We loved our stay at the house for a girls getaway weekend. The house and overall property exceeded our expectations. Beautiful views, great layout and bed situation for a group, lots of places to gather and enjoy time together in the home inside and out. We came in January and would love to come back again in summertime to enjoy warmer weather (although the hot tub and fire pit was great for us in cooler temps!) Easy communication with the property manager. Highly recommend!

I stayed here with 14 other girl friends. It was AMAZING! The property and house was so so beautiful and spacious. All 15 of us fit with ease. This house was such a beautiful sanctuary for the weekend with the hot tub, pool, and sauna. The owners were also so nice and readily available. Could not recommend staying here more!

Perfect Christmas family get together
This home was totally PERFECT,!!! Did not expect a fully decorated large Christmas tree in the main room!! Dining table was set with gorgeous candle holders and lengthwise poinsettia/greenery decor.
The pool and hot tub were always ready for a nighttime swim! Plenty of thick towels. Kitchen is a cook’s dream!!! Large gathering room is wonderful as all of us could have a comfy seat!!! Pool table was an unexpected treat!!

We renewed our wedding vows at Calle Varada in November with far-flung family and could not have been happier. Rather than simply being "a venue," this splendid property became our second home, not merely for those who stayed there with us but for the guests who joined us for a celebratory dinner catered from the extraordinary main kitchen. The hosts' wonderfully video and photos cannot fully represent thge beauty of the home and its surrounding and amenities, nor can we extend praise enough for how seamlessly Mitty made our transition possible.
