Sobre este casaalquiler
Stunning Georgian Grade 2 Listed property in the Welsh borders

A beautiful 'lived-in' and quirky old house that made us all feel at home. Wonderful gardens and views. Great to share meals (prepared in the lovely spacious kitchen) around the long dining room table - made us feel like nobility. So many rooms - that we often 'lost' the kids. Weather was great so we were able to walk down to the river and go swimming. So close to the village and playground - but secluded and set back from the road.

The house and the grounds are amazing and so are the magnificent views. It didn't take long for us to se

Great location for a large party, we had a lovely time. Lots to explore and discover

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful home. The host was extremely helpful and gave us access to the local tennis courts which were really fun. The actual house itself is even better than the photos in set in amazing grounds with beautiful views. We also loved walking down to the river.

Fantastic stay with friends and family. Maze of a house! Need a week to even look at all the curiosities!
Shame the weather couldn't have been kinder, but plenty to do in the house!

Wonderful stay at this amazing property. Full of history and quirkiness and lots of wonder and recreation for our kids (4 to 10). We were blessed with weather and made the most of games on the huge garden area, bbq on the sun trap patio, and walk through the woodland to swim in the river. Host was fabulous and made the admin side a breeze. Would definitely return in the future.

Beautiful old style property set in amazing scenery. Loads to do for all age groups. Quirky house full of interesting things and areas to explore with fabulous gardens to explore. We all enjoyed our stay across three generations.

Very nice house, but definitely quirky! It has a lot of personality in a beautiful setting.
We had a wonderful weekend, though didn't find the outdoor games in the large chest by the door until the final day.
Downsides - lots of cobwebs, a bit cluttered and the lights kept tripping in a couple of rooms.

A beautiful part of the country and a great house full of character. We had a wonderful time.

Property worked really well for family and friends get together, with ages ranging from 20 months to 70 years, we all loved it. Everything we needed including great outdoor space. Also plenty of places nearby to visit suitable for all ages.
Host was very welcoming and helpful. Meals we ordered from them were excellent.
We had a very good meal at The Boat at Erbistock and good food from Overton fish and chip shop.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Brow. We felt welcomed and accommodated before we even arrived and nothing was too much trouble when we were there.
It's a very characterful house and felt like a bit of an adventure with all of the different rooms and quirky things to find. There are a few dusty corners here and there, but it's all part of the charm if you're laid back like we are.
We would recommend the catering supplied by Charlotte and the party buffet from the local cafe, as well as the village fish and chip shop and butchers.
All in all, we loved it so thank you for having us.

Amazing house in a beautiful location. Loads of rooms and space for everyone to spread out. The kids loved the table tennis and trampoline.

Amazing property, full of history, quirky and lots to explore. We were a family of 8 so we had plenty of space (inside and out). Kitchen well equipped for cooking meals (although some of the mugs and glasses were chipped so should be replaced) and the dining room was very grand and a lovely space to sit and enjoy them. Grounds fabulous and we enjoyed our walk down to the river. A lovely weekend enjoyed by us all and we hope to come and visit again.

Perfect stay for our whole family ages 2-85! Plus dog! The host was very warm and welcoming.
We stayed at the house end of December and we really enjoyed having the cosy fire places and plenty of seating for all of us, whether we were enjoying a board game, glass of wine or a meal around the huge dining room table.
The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils and crockery.
The garden surrounding the house was very spacious and it was really nice to wonder out for a country walk along the river Dee straight from the house.
We would 100% recommend this house and will be back again in the future.

Beautiful old property plenty of room for the thirteen of us, great location. Grounds fantastic. Does need a bit of TLC i.e. plumbing and windows. Friendly and helpful member of the family welcomed us and was on hand to assist with any issues. We loved our stay.

Stunning location, the views from the house are amazing! Amenities within easy walking distance + a great pub! Charlotte cooked us a truly scrumptious lasagne on the first night, all ready and waiting for us in the fridge. A delightful house full of character - highly recommended :)

We all enjoyed the house and the grounds. We were however disappointed with two of the bedrooms, the single room had no storage facilities and was very small and bare, the twin room was drab and again any cupboard space was filled with old clothes and belongings. There were insufficient mugs for 13 people and a lot of them were chipped. There was also very little space for boots and coats as all the pegs were filled with the owner’s belongings

House was perfect for 8 friends. Plenty of space inside and out. Fantastically well equipped, nice large open rooms. Met all of our needs for a weekend. Would highly recommend booking in the future.

Gorgeous house, full of character - perfect for a writing group! Would love to stay again.

Like staying in a stately home whilst the owners are away for the weekend! Packed with historical and family memorabilia. Our 4 teenagers loved it - so different for those who live in conventional houses in suburbia. The grounds are extensive, plenty of room to run around, get lost, use the trampoline. Lots of room to spread out inside as well, enjoy a piano or guitar recital, more books than the local library. Not for those who like minimalist surroundings, but we all loved it.

We had the best time at the Brow! Lovely, remote location, and the house is so much bigger than we expected! Charlotte was on hand the whole time and readily contactable, but she gave such a good induction we didn't need to contact her re the property! No complaints whatsoever. We made memories here I doubt we'll ever forget and would love to come back to stay again,

The property had everything imaginable for a comfortable stay. The walks to the river were wonderful and the outdoor space was excellent, thankfully we had glorious weather throughout our stay. the space, the showers the beds, and the overall level of the property is comfortable, very much like staying at a relative's home as personal items are not removed.
Just one neg, check in and check out, very late check-in, and check-out at 10 am on the final day, make sure all your group and items are ready to leave on time as they do come on the dot, which quite honestly, during my years of travel, I never experienced this before, they are literally hovering whilst you are there gathering all belongings. So our Monday - Friday stay, did feel more like a 3-day affair.

A perfect week
We were home visiting family and friends from Australia and looking for a spacious house to gather everyone together, this was the perfect choice!!
From Charlotte’s warm welcome (and amazing cooking!) to all the wonderful history and fun finds around the house we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better.
The house was comfortable and cosy with space for all. The village had everything we needed, from fish suppers to dinner and rugby at the pub! We are already planning our next trip home and everyone agreed that Overton is where we will be staying. Thanks Charlotte, we had a ball.

Family reunion
Brow House was ideal for our family get together. It was just like being in a home. The photos don’t do it justice. There were lots of comfy chairs, books, art and big rooms where we could sit comfortably and a large country kitchen. The garden was great for the dogs and the walk down to the Dee lovely. Views from the back of the house were fabulous. We will be back.
