Fabulous 180-degree panoramic views - the photos just don't do it justice. 10 mins drive to Rotorua for restaurants / grocery shopping etc, so very convenient. The only thing you need to bring is a portable heater. We stayed in July and the weather was very cold, and the heat didn't travel to the two smaller rooms. There are also a lot of bach rules and instructions everywhere, so you need to be ok with that. That said, it was a very comfortable stay, hot tub under the trees with a lake view was amazing, the two larger beds are very comfortable, and heavy curtains made the rooms nice and dark. Amazing property for relaxing and adventure. We did both! Views of the lake from spa, decking, kitchen/dining, lounge, bedrooms were spectacular. Clean and comfy. Loved the use of the kayaks and Mountain bike lock up. Will definitely look to book again next year!

This wonderful home is situated in a beautiful hilltop location among the trees, with stunning lake views. There are wonderful lake walks close by. The layout is wonderful for indoor/outdoor living. The house is cozy and has a well appointed kitchen that is fantastic for cooking -- stocked with everything. The furniture and decor are personal and charming. We had a wonderful trip.

We visited this property with our three children. Reviews mention the stairs a lot, we really did not find these an issue at all. Clean property with well-equipped kitchen. Loved our stay here, would recommend this place to everyone who is willing to keep the property in order, as this clearly (and understandably) is important to the owner. The view is to die for!

Property was very comfortable, well maintained, and well located and we very much enjoyed our stay. Visitors need to be fit to go up and down stairs. The owners were very keen that property was well maintained by visitors. For 1st time lake visitors like us, our stay would have benefited from on site mountain bikes and kayaks being readily available (had to find all our fun which was fine but some more easy fun would be good, especially for teens)

Fantastic house to base a family for water sports and mountain biking. Lovely to sit on deck surrounded by tuis in the trees. Very clean and everything you need. Good parking including for the boat.

Only wish we could have stayed longer. The house is wonderful, so comfortable, super well equipped. The view of the lake is amazing and the surrounding area is beautiful. Rotarua a short drive, very convenient. Communication with Peter was great - a big thanks to him and Fiona for accommodating us for an extra night at very short notice.

A fabulous location with amazing views from both levels. Expansive decks. Lovely home & great facilities available with everything provided. We made good use of the spa. Wonderful venue for a relaxing getaway to a beautiful piece of the country. Bit of a hike up the stairs, but worth it!

Only thing to consider is that there are alot of steps up to the house, so need to be fit to carry everything up. Keep your bags light! With this in mind, it would have been lovely to have a but more firewood actually beside the fire for when we arrived.

A lovely home away from home, warm and cosy. The fire was wonderful - great with the wetback to help heat hot water. We really enjoyed our stay and that wonderful view.

Lovely property with a relax and watch the world go by vibe, the stairs are a workout but that’s not a biggie, the spa is great, loved the “lake house “ life.

It is a well looked after property, spotlessly clean with everything you need. I image it is great in winter with still the same view and an easy ride back to the Redwoods. We absolutely loved our stay here. Can’t fault it. The only thing Is that you need to bring body wash, don’t get caught out like we did the first night. The view is just stunning. Highlight was the beautiful spa morning and night. Would definitely stay again

House has a stunning view, beds were super comfy and we were cozy and warm.
