Parking at the NCP carpark that the Hotel recommend and offers a discount is not true. It is impossible to park at the carpark due to the stupid bus lanes

Although check-in wasn't until 15.00, we arrived around 10.30 and were able to deposit our bag early, for a fee of £4, which went directly to a local children's charity, so no qualms at all.
From the moment we arrived until our departure next morning, the service was excellent, friendly as well as efficient, and didn't seem at all forced.
Our room had a quite large entrance area with wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilites, leading up to the sleeping area, which although not huge, was perfectly adequate.
The room, including the bathroom was spotless, the room was a very comfortable temperature, and we were fortunate enough to be on the quieter side of the building, so had a very quiet night.
Breakfast was perfectly adequate and the hotel is centrally located so ideal for our trips to the Christmas markets.

Ideal location in town centre, hotel was nice, friendly staff and room a good size. Beautiful dining room at breakfast although the supply of food was poor. Had to wait as hot buffet was empty and cold options were not replenished even though it was mid service. Good overall good value for money

Hotel location was very central and very good, many top bars and restaurants were within walking distance, hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, we were given a better room than the one we had booked and this made our stay very good indeed

Great position in Cardiff downtown. Room was spacious enough and silent but a bit rundown. It probably needs some renovations. Staff was really helpful and kind. Check in and check out were smooth and they also kept my luggage for an additional hour

What a gem of a find. Initial thought was a lot of steps to get to reception, but once we reached reception we were really happy with what we found. Staff that greeted us were very friendly and helpful. Then found the lift which would have saved us the stairs. This made our stay a lot easier. Our room was a good size, and clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice size on the bathroom. We slept well. The room was very quiet. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice and fresh items constantly being brought out. Hotel is close to train station and shopping area/ restaurants and pubs. Will definitely be using this hotel again

Excellent pre-arrival information made the trip so much easier. Excellent discount on local parking in a secure car park. The bedroom was larger than we anticipated and at a good price for a city centre hotel.
The only gripe would be that the bathroom needed some TLC as it was shabby with missing grout in the floor tiles and earlier repairs to walls was evident.

The breakfast was a little dissapointing. There was a good selection but the hot section was only luke warm and the bacon a little dried out. We were not late to breakfast either. For the cost of our rooms I would have expected a little more.

Very close to the centre of cardiff but a street away from the hussle and bussle so it doesnt get noisy. Hotel and staff very lovely and very welcoming will definitely be making a return trip.

The booking in process was a nightmare, you have to prove who you are, I’ve never come across this in this country before, I didn’t have any Credit cards or debit cards with me as they are all on my phone

On arrival I asked about noise but assured by staff no problem. Was kept awake by music till 2:30am and awoke by building site at 6:30am. WiFi in room wasn’t working and took a day for someone to check it and still didn’t work. Blackout curtains advertised on site but didn’t cover windows so were useless. Tv signal bad. Shower not properly sealed and leaked causing slip hazard. Soap empty. Mentioned to staff but nothing properly done.

Good value hotel in center of town. Maybe ask for a room off the main Street on a Saturday night. Friendly helpful reception staff. Reduction off ncp parking. Second time we‘ve stayed.

Nice room, bathroom needed a refurb. Breakfast was very good but was let down by poorly replenished items. Overall could have been great, but little more attention to details is required. Also plastic glasses in the bar due to Billy Joel concert seemed ridiculous!

Prefect location in the middle of town parking is a short walk away, the hotel was very nice and staff were all very welcoming and friendly - great place to stay for a Cardiff trip.

I booked this hotel nearly a year ago and the reviews were great. Recently not so, and I was a bit apprehensive. I have to presume some people were just unlucky but our room was an excellent size and spotlessly clean. It was super quiet and of a decent size. I loved the walk in wardrobe and loads of drawers/cupboards. Oh and I have to mention how lovely it was to have proper quilted toilet roll! (:)
The staff were lovely throughout the hotel, breakfast was great and set us up for the day. I will definitely be staying her again.

Nice little hotel for a good value in the center of it all. I really enjoyed the space of the room, location, and quiet by guests. A few upgrades could be made to the bed and TV, but not a deal breaker. If you can, ask for a room on the other side of Mary st. Club music is noticeable unto 2 am.

Really lovely hotel, the location was so central so was ideal for getting the train and bus and visiting around Cardiff. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the room was amazing, I was sad to leave. The staff were incredibly friendly and on the occasion I needed help, were more than happy to.
The room was a really nice size but the bed was massive! There was so much space to spread out after a long day. A nice amount of storage space as well and plenty of plugs next to the bed and by the mirror so just perfect.
Overall, a really amazing stay and I can’t wait to stay again!

We stayed in a fantastic superior king room that curved around the corner of the hotel, so lots of windows over looking Cardiff and a sofa area.
The bathroom was great too and there was a bottle of wine left in the room for us as a welcome.
The staff were all friendly and helpful and the parking discount was well received ages very close by.
Would stay again.

We enjoyed our time in Cardiff Wales and staying in this hotel. The staff were very helpful. The room was large, clean and comfy. The area around the hotel was very safe. The shops and restaurants were very accessible. We loved our time in Cardiff, Wales. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. When we get a chance to visit Cardiff again, we will definitely stay in this hotel.
