Excellent stay, a lovely hotel right in the heart of Shoreditch, close to lots of bars and restaurants. Fabulous rooftop bar with great service.

Sound insulation from outside streets is poor - it’s noisy at night. Sound insulation in room from corridor is also poor. You will be disappointed if you wish to get to sleep and stay asleep much before 12.30. It has no gym on the premises. Decor is quite tired. Lots of chipped paints and a broken cabinet door in my room. I really don’t know why it is 5 rather than 4 stars. I wouldn’t stay here again

Overall the service was not bad. But don’t ever take the corner room. Lots of noise from the street and workers. Lorris and dustbin lorris. From 6 am it’s triblle.

So we arrived very early and the hotel was accommodating with letting us leave our bags, even putting them in our room for when we made it back after our scheduled meetings. However, the first night was a Saturday and the noise out on the street was unbearable, we were on the first floor, and we got little sleep. I know it's not their fault but maybe some better windows should have been installed? When a hotel provides your room with earplugs...yikes! The hotel TOTALLY redeemed itself though the next day. They had called a cab for us to get to the airport. My friend left her purse in the cab (with computer and all documents) so she called the hotel and they managed to get call the driver, have him come right back. She got her purse back and we made our flight. It really is a nice hotel with a great location...the only issue was the noise level.

Great hotel in a central location for Shoreditch. Bar on roof and downstairs are great. Staff very friendly. Room bigger than average for London with huge windows. Only small downside is noise. For our stay on a Saturday night it was noisy until late. Other than that I look forward to returning!

The rooms are quite worn out and poorly planned. Like dirty carpets, no power outlets by the beds, can’t switch off lights without getting up, no phone directory (had to try many options to call the reception (it’s 00 by the way) Good space thou.

We really, really loved our hotel room at the Boundary. It was very light and spacious and so well designed with beautiful furniture (the Eames room). The location is amazing, right in the Shoreditch hotspot, next to great restaurants, shops and public transport. It's hard to think of negatives, but I found two things: at night and in the morning it can be quite noisy due to garbage trucks and partying crowds. On our first night there was a party on the rooftop of the hotel and a woman puked on the pavement near the entrance. And a minor problem: the hairdryer does not get hot. But overall we had a lovely stay and we were sad to leave our comfy and homely room.

The room design was excellent and the concept of each room influenced by a different designer was very good. Bed was very comfortable and the facilities excellent.

A wonderful place to stay for a celebration weekend. Very helpful staff.

The hotel lobby/reception /bar/restaurant was being renovated and that caused a great deal of inconvenience. And Albion is now history. But it will probably not have any influence on future stays for future guests

Gorgeous rooms, beautifully designed, particularly loved the large chair to stretch out in after long day. It was noisy - perhaps as to be expected in this part of town - but the hotel so provide ear plugs.

Right in the centre of Shoreditch, spacious room and excellent service. Would recommend.

The room was great and quirkily decorated with interesting art. The bed was large and really comfortable with a good, firm mattress. The bathroom was large and luxurious and the shower was hot with great water pressure. The downside was we could hear everything that went on in the streets nearby. This really disturbed our sleep until 4:30am with people shouting, cars and buses diving by and beeping horns and loud music from nearby. The hotel provides earplugs which helped somewhat but still didn't help provide a restful sleep.

Good location and spacious but rooms are a bit rough around the edges and not very stylish. Reception area is bland and cramped. A pleasant enough stay but not worth the price.

No privacy and felt exposed - Lovely big windows to our first floor room making it feel nice and bright. but people in the restaurant and the offices across the single lane road could see clearly into our room.

Very central to shopping and restaurants of all genres in the trendy Shoreditch area.

Was staying for 2 nights but luckily had work in London on the Friday and Monday so ended up staying for 4 nights. Was such a marvellous stay from start to finish. Felt like I had a really central apartment the vibe was so right. Really chilled out, but loads going on in the area, good choice of eating / drinking at the rooftop, or more casual albion cafe below. Room service was great too - same menu and could get cocktails or anything from their normal menu. And the team were so nice, really helpful and recognised you. Was just the perfect base for a long weekend of work or catching up or going out. All three worked. Room was awesome too - spacious with loads of cool features. Big clean bath and comfy bed. Loved it.

Hotel is nice but not worth £290 per night. Mildew in shower, toilet didn’t work, tv buffering. Little things but we’re frustrating for the price we had paid. I wouldn’t stay again though the roof top bar was lovely with excellent service.

so pleased to find a nice hotel tat was open in trendy shoreditch, will be back at the end of the month!

Excellent staff. Fast room service. Well-appointed rooms, but well worn. They have patina, maybe even a little tired. In the restaurant, Albion (same menu as room service) offers no hot vegetarian dishes (no mains, no starters), only salads and a couple of small sides.

The modern design at first glance is pleasing and fresh. But fashon and style make the user experience difficult and uncomfortable. Light switches that dont work and/or in odd locations, the bathroom door that is extremely heavy to slide slide open or closed that the handle was breaking off and a bath/shower combo that leaves the bathroom floor covered in water when used as designed We stayed in a suite that had the bed on an open loft. Okay no probelm. But to have coffee in the morning you go down the steps to where the coffee is, but there is no sink or wet bar downstairs, you go back upstairs to fill the elecric kettle and/or to rinse and clean the french press for another cup. On a similar note, the hair dryer is not upstairs in the bathroom. It is downstairs and there's a sign in the bathroom that the only outlet in the bathroom is for an electric shaver, not a hairdryer. However, the location is fabulous and the staff friendly and very helpful! The location is just a block off the Shoreditch High Station and Block Park and just a few minutes walk to Brick Lane. Very convenient!

Spacious rooms, excellent location, water in your room each evening.

Shower difficult to regulate. Shouting and sound of smashing glass at all hours of night made us uncomfortable and impossible to sleep. I guess this is why we later found ear plugs in drawer. Maybe double glazing necessary?

superb location. Great room & excellent helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel & will always stay there when in London.
