BIRCH BRAE- Spectacular House On Big Lake For An Amazing Northwoods Experience!
Abbiamo costruito la nostra casa sul lago da sogno circa 15 anni fa per le riunioni di famiglia e l'abbiamo costruita in modo grande per ospitare 12 ospiti. Alti soffitti a volta, camino in pietra, arredi unici e due piani di finestre offrono una vista eccezionale su Big Lake e tutta la sua bellezza.
La sala principale è utilizzata per cenare, giocare, rilassarsi accanto al fuoco, guardare il lago e tutta la fauna selvatica che va e viene (aquile, cervi, lunari e molti altri !!) La casa ha una grande veranda riparata e un ponte enorme che corre lungo la casa sul lungolago.
La cucina è molto grande ed è fantastica per i gruppi di preparare i pasti mentre socializzano. È ben fornito una grande varietà di piatti da portata, piatti, pentole e padelle e un vasto assortimento di bicchieri, ecc., Ecc.
Big Lake è un lago di 827 acri. Ha una profondità massima di 61 piedi. I visitatori hanno accesso al lago dagli sbarchi di barche pubbliche. I pesci includono muschiato, pan pesce, spigola, spigola, luccio e walleye. L'acqua del lago è molto chiara. Birch Brae si trova sul lato bluff meridionale, di fronte all'isola di Keith. Birch Brae is a gold nugget home that we thoroughly enjoy. Great view, quiet, plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is nicely appointed and Big Lake is awesome. Not a lot of traffic and the fishing is top notch. Needless to say we will be back. Tony C

Our family of 13 stayed for a week. Everyone described the the house, the kitchen, and the recreational equipment as outstanding. Everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, was provided. We enjoyed games, puzzles, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, trail hiking and lots of great conversation. We appreciated the high-speed internet as some family members had work or classes for which high speed was helpful. Everyone explored nearby towns. One family member rented a boat at Greers Landing for two days on a nearby lake for tubing and skiing. We recommend Birch Brae!

5 sisters catching up, had a wonderful time in spacious home. Very well stocked. Love the view of the lake thru windows and back porch. Definitely would recommend.

We rent a home every year in the area and this is far and away the best of the best. House was perfect with a large gathering area and kitchen. I love Big Lake, great small mouth, pan fish, Northern and musky fishing. I would highly recommend hiring a guide to learn the lake, there are some dangerous rock bars or simply read a map intently. We will book this house again in 2024. Thx TC

Beautiful home that allowed 20 people to live comfortably for a week. The lake is gorgeous and serene. We enjoyed the privacy in the home and lake.

The house is magnificent. The lake offered great swimming for adults and kids of all ages. The canoes and kayaks got us all around the lake. The bikes were great on the nearby bike/hike trail. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thanks, Keith!!

This cabin was beautiful and clean. There was a lot of old detail that was put into it. So many different books and paintings. There was so much character. You can tell the house was built and kept up with love and we felt it. It was beautiful especially the lake. The nearby towns have nice little bars and restaurants. It was truly magical and I can’t wait to stay again. Thank you Keith for letting us stay in your home. Our hearts are warmed.

A group of friends and I gathered at this beautiful accommodating property in the northern highlands region of Wisconsin and could not have been more pleased with the home, the land and the lake it was on. So much to do, look at and explore. Keith was very easy to communicate with and everything was to our liking!

This property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful and quiet and did I say beautiful. The cabin had plenty of space for all of us to hang out. Spacious kitchen lot's of seating for eating and games. The lake was the cleanest we have EVER swam in!!! The scenery around the lake and property was absolutely gorgeous! We found a awesome trail to walk our dogs on! The Host was very easy to communicate with and responded to requests promptly! I can't wait to come back again and again and again. I really hope everyone else has a wonderful experience like we did.

Awesome place for a family get together- From check-in to departure it was a perfect place to enjoy time together and time away. The cabin was perfectly equipped, the location and amenities were outstanding,, and communication was exceptional.

Great trip
Our family had a great time at Birch Brae. The long sandy beach was perfect for our 1, 3, and 4 year olds. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing both around the lake and through the nearby river. The big table and kitchen provided plenty of space for us to gather for large family meals. The fire pit area was really comfortable - out of the way of the wind and the stone bottom kept the bugs at bay. We’d love to come back!

A cabin of dreams and a place to make exceptional memories!
Birch Brae was a phenomenal cabin that welcomed us with open arms! Keith was an exceptional host and was very communicative and easy to work with. Him and his brother kept the property in excellent condition and had everything there for us to enjoy the weekend and ensure a smooth stay. The cabin is great for a long weekend and a wonderful place to make memories! We made many and will cherish them for years to come! Thank you!!

Great cabin in the perfect location
Had a group of 11 people for a couple days of snowmobiling. This was close to trail 2. The house was very clean and worked well for the large group.

This is a beautiful home that is great for a large group. The open floor plan allowed for everyone to be together and able to move around. The kitchen is huge, well stocked, and was perfect for our large group to make meals each day. We enjoyed the dining tables for enjoying meals together as well as putting puzzles together while overlooking the beautiful views of the lake. We kept a fire burning to keep the chill out of the air and to maintain the cozy feeling. Each family enjoyed their space to sleep as well as plenty of bathrooms for privacy. The two washers and two dryers were a great bonus as well as the ability to use the garage and additional refrigerator. The microwave stopped working during our stay and after a quick message to the property manager he had one on order and it was delivered within a few days.
This home was perfect for our snowmobile group/family as the trails were very close, we were able to leave directly from the house to access them.

Best Vaca in years!!!
We LOVED our stay at Birch Brae. My dog learned he loved the water. The little ones made tons of s'mores and the adults kicked back and enjoyed the view. ZERO issues at all. Just a fantastic stress free time :)

The perfect place for an intimate wedding reception!
The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for our intimate wedding reception! Keith was so helpful during the whole process and made planning and organizing the reception a breeze. Our families were so impressed and absolutely loved it there! We are already planning a time to go back so we can all take in the beautiful area and outdoor activities It has to offer!

We have several smaller kids and they were able to stand/play in the lake - the water is only waist deep well past the dock. The house was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space for everyone. The bedroom with multiple single beds was perfect for all the kids to hang out together. We didn't take advantage of the game room as the weather was gorgeous the week we were there and we spent most of our time outdoors on the lake or riding bikes on the nearby paved trail. Would definitely come here again!

Great family vacation
We had an absolute blast at this house! The water was crystal clear and we thoroughly enjoyed the dock and flotation devices, kayaks, boats and other water toys while we were there. The house was so spacious and the beds were very comfortable. My family loved riding all the antique bicycles provided and the trails are so so nice. And so close! Huge driveway for all our cars and bean bag toss boards. Keith was so great to work with and answered all my questions. We will definitely be back!

Northwoods Summer Perfection
We had a wonderful week of family and friends to stay at Birch Brae, a Slice of Heaven on Big Lake. Mostly Teenaged Kids aged 12-18, three couples for part of the week and my Wife and I holding down the fort while we celebrated August Family birthdays. Excellently equipped
Kitchen, comfy beds, beautifully appointed Great room and Newley renovated game room made for great living space. Nice kayaks, Canoe’s and sandy clear water lake, bikes and amazing proximity to the Bike trails and serene Soaring forests offered many outdoor adventure options for our youthful group. Can say with confidence this home is a special experience and we’d be happy to return again.

Great family get away
Birch Brae met all of our family's needs. Adequate space for each family, great areas for family gatherings. Enjoyed the basement with the fun activities. Close to a great bike trail. The lake was beautiful. We fished, boated, tubed, kayaked and swam in the lake. We had a great time! Thank you Keith!

Pretty Much Perfect
We had a wonderful week stay at Birch Brae. I would recommend the house and area. There was too much to do in a day. The house had everything that we needed for a large group. It was super convenient to the bike trail and off a very lightly traveled road. There were bikes to use, ping pong table, games, life jackets, floatees, a floating pad to play on, kayaks, and a canoe. All of which we used and enjoyed. Our young kids were safely and easily able to swim around the pier and out several yards. The water is clear with light traffic the week were there. Several of the group snorkeled. The house had an additional fridge, which is appreciate when you have a large group. The house was clean and well maintained. Even the gas grill was super clean. The owner stopped by and explained some of the history of the house and area, which was very interesting. The house was set apart from others. The stars were awesome. It was in a perfect position to see the Neowise comet. I feel lucky to have been at that exact location to see it. Thank you, Keith, for opening up the home for others to enjoy and for making it so easy for us when we checked out. It was a fantastic stay that we will fondly remember.

We loved the beautiful home, it was well stocked with everything you would need to cook for a large group. It was very clean and everything was perfect for our family vacation. Amazing house...so much room and great views of lake. Sandy, shallow lake front perfect for kids of all ages. Beautiful lake with excellent fishing. Keith was so helpful and easy to get a hold of with any questions. Road is right on bike trail. Awesome week!
