Beautiful view from the room the area is very safe very close to the ferry station the location is amazing

They dont guarantee Wi-Fi in the rooms even though the description says they have it. The room was old and door handle to room looked like it would fall off. The toilet didnt flush correctly we had to fill the garbage can with water to flush. Some of the reception people were nice others not so much.

I would stay again. I wish it were closer to the beach and I would make this my absolute go to stay. However, it is quite a walk to North Beach, which made the location less than ideal for me. Very clean property, felt safe and the view is spectacular!

Rocamar is a perfect place to stay. 5 mi Ute walk to and from the ferry,local people and places to eat were exceptional, walk to the beach or rent a golf cart close by and explore the island. Fresh beach towels and maid service everyday beautiful view of the ocean,and sunrise from our room

It was a nice room at first glance. Pro: comfortable bed, close to the ferry port (3 min walk), feels safe, beautiful view on the water.
Con: The floor remained wet after a shower in the bathroom and would stay around the entrance area as well…. Lots of humidity in the room. Needs to be upgraded and re painted etc.

The Rocomar Hotel is in a great location from the ferry from Cancun. It's a short walk up a hill. Pool overlooks the sea. We had a balcony outside of our room. Very friendly atmosphere and our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The location is excellent, the cleaning maid was excellent.
The room was ok, the TV was small and behind Plexi glass, I know typically I wouldn't care but it was the weekend of the AFC and NFC championship. All the mirrors had these marks on them, basically useless..
The gentleman at the front desk never greeted us as we come and go, and never smiled.

We enjoyed the view. Nothing else. Room and property was dirty. Front desk staff gave no information on the property. Here is the key. Room 10. That is it. Dod not feel welcome. Never saw any hotel staff. Pool furniture broken. Mold in room everywhere including the air conditioner. Door to balcony very hard to open. Lights did not work. Will never recommend.

The location is gorgeous, but the room was not well maintained. In our 14 days stay we had three repairmen come in: air conditioner leaking water into our closet; balcony door not sliding and toilet. The first two were solve, the toilet did not fill up even after a couple hours work. We had to manually fill the tank with a pitcher. I understand is only a two star hotel, but a properly working toilet is a must.
Additionally we were asked to wear a bracelet so the night watchman would know we were staying there. On the last morning there was a young man sleeping in the outdoor lounge, no shirt, no shoes, no bracelet. So much for security.
The staff was polite but defensive when we brought up our complaints. Again, beautiful location by the Caribbean sea, balconies overlooking the sea, pool area overlooking the sea, but poorly maintained rooms.

The hotel is in good location close to Ferry and shopping. I had a little issue with my room was downstairs, I had to go down a long staircase, I thought it would be 1st floor level since I’m handicapped. The other issue was if you leave the door open for a couple of minutes room gets very muggy and floor become extremely wet, this caused me to fall. Aside from those issue it was a pleasant one night stay.

The view off of the balcony was positively fantastic! You can hear the waves all night and day! The pool and outdoor areas are very nice and relaxing. There is A/C; however, the bathroom is a wet room, with the shower and vent keeping the bathroom a little damp. The shower view can't be beat, as the glass wall of the shower allows a view through the room directly to the Carribean. It's a true Mexico immersion vacation spot!

Honestly, this place was the best part of my vacation outside of just being alone, traveling with my partner. The staff was extremely friendly and interested whether I struck up conversation in English or Spanish, plenty of good recommendations on their part if you happened to travel without a plan whether it comes to food, shopping, transportation, or adventuring.
I’ll add, there’s a cat that lives near and walks around the building that is absolutely precious and deserves the world. Her name is Micha, leave a can of tuna for us. Thank you <3

The room was stinky when we checked in the bathroom room door was not completely closing.
We bought our own room perfume and used it all 4 days.
The location and Beachfront are the top points.

Room is very basic, location is great, 3 min walk from ferry and very close to all the shops & restaurant. View of the ocean is phenomenal. I'm not a fan of the bathroom, it smells of sewage at times, and gets very humid after a shower, no shower curtain which splashes water everywhere. But for the price it is reasonable.

They really mean ocean front when they say it. Only a walking path seperates the hotel from the sea. Everything on the north part of the island is a 5-10 minute walk, including the beaches.
They keep the property spotless, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Amazing location right in the heart of the locals & right on the coast with crashing waves right below your balcony. This is not a luxury property, and the price reflects it, however we have gone back 3 times due to the value and experience of this hotel.
