This is my third trip to Isla Mujeres and the best one yet! The house was great for many reasons- clean, affordable, great layout for multiple families needing their own space, beautifully landscaped, quiet neighborhood and incredible views off of each balcony. We rented a golf cart while staying here; a must for both necessity and fun factor. Our concierge, Jan, was easy to reach, promptly responded each time I reached out on WhatsApp, offered great food recommendations (Kin Ha for sunsets- I HIGHLY recommend) and helpful with arranging a taxi ride back to the ferry after returning our golf cart and checking out of Casa Del Sol. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

This house was fine for us. The living spaces are all divided up. Meaning you have to walk out of the bedroom, into the open air courtyard, then in through the entrance to another bedroom, or kitchen. The "Courtyard" is actually enclosed on three sides with a gate to the exterior on the fourth, so it's no issue, it just wasn't all that clear to me from the pictures. The master suites (there are two) both did not have good privacy on the toilet area. One didn't have door, and the other had a half door (like in a public restroom) that was a double swing. Some people in my party found that not having a door to the toilet was a bit off-putting. The layout is two master suites (one up stairs to the right and one up to the left). Downstairs there is the two smaller bedrooms with jack and jill bathroom (that does have a door) and the kitchen / living room is opposite. The host provided complimentary bottled water, which I really appreciated. The pool area has morning sun, and afternoon shade in case that makes a difference to you. The cabana area is nice also.

Overall this house was a great pick. I gave it a 4 rating as the air conditioning was broken in two of the rooms and two units had to be replaced the day after we arrived. It was so hot, that it was unbearable for two of the children to sleep, that my daughter had to find another VRBO to stay at for the night. Otherwise, the home was in a great location on South Beach, had all the amenities needed and a perfect set up. Would definitely stay recommend this home and stay here again.

Beautiful views of the sunrise and eastern coast of the island. Walking distance to punta sur. Showers were hot with good water pressure. Pool was perfect temp with partial shade after 3 pm. Not so isolated where you can't find good restaurants nearby. Good AC in every room.

The Vrbo was as advertised. Well equipped and clean in a lovely quiet area of Isla Mujeres. There was coffee awaiting us, and 24 galloons of bottled water. The pool was perfect for four adults. The propane grill was old, but functional. Jan Carlos and Jennifer were great about responding to two calls on property issues (one missing dowel to secure a window and an air conditioner that stopped working), resolving both very issues very quickly. They also gave us some suggestions for local shops or restaurants. Would be happy to stay there again.

Myself and 4 of my friends stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate the upcoming wedding of one of us. The house was exactly as described. Beautiful, open and with a great view and warm pool. We had no issues except a leaking water jug that they came and addressed immediately. Chris and Juan Pedro met us at the house, and once they saw that we didn't have transportation and it was getting late for a food run, Chris ran 2 of us to the market with his golf cart so we would have some snacks to tide us over for the evening and next morning. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Del Sol. Definitely would come back again!

Jennifer with MUNDACA was wonderful. Super accommodating. House worked well for our 2 families. Kitchen had all the basics. Pool was nice for the kids to play in. Punta Sur is within walking distance. Highly recommend golf cart travel around the island. We had a blast!

The property could've been cleaner. More chairs by the pool would be nice.

The house was very large with all the rooms separate and away from each other for privacy. Great views with balcony too. Each room had their own bathroom and shower. The common area had a table in it that would be nice to play cards at in the evening. The backyard had a pool and a palapa with patio set up and a BBQ. It rained a lot so we didn’t really get a chance to use it. Air conditioning worked great. House came with basic necessities like paper towel, dish soap, coffee, sugar, salt and other spices. It had numerous water jugs which was wonderful. It’s very close to south point and the Joint. So I would recommend getting a golf cart. Only negative thing about the place was the neighbour was horrible. He had parties starting at 4am until 8am so we didn’t really sleep. If I wasn’t travelling with a kids I wouldn’t mind as much but being up at 4am every day was exhausting. The host tried did everything they could to stop the excessive noise and they were extremely apologetic.

The house is huge and very nice! We enjoyed staying on the south end of the island where it is quiet.

Everything was as said on listing! Of course no beach access but plenty close areas to lay in the sand and enjoy. Just a washer, no dryer but hung close outside and they dried quickly in the breeze. Fast response from property manager on house concerns, fixed quickly! Will stay again!

This house was absolutely perfect for our group! He cannot wait to come back to the island and stay here again.

This property is amazing. The hacienda style house was perfect for our week long vacation. The pool was nice, the outside bar/gazebo area was great for nighttime get togethers. I recommend this place for anyone that stays on Isla Mujeres. Communication was great with the concierge, had a power outage during our stay. Called maintenance form the instructions listed and they were there to reset the main breaker within a 10 minutes.

I extended a Cancun Girl's trip to Isla. At first, I had doubts about being South. But, let me tell you it was AMAZING This lovely house is set up like private casita's so each guest has their own way in & out. Worked perfect for my group of 7 gals. One night, we must have blown out a circut with several of us blow drying our hair. We lost water & electricity but let me tell you I contacted the maintance guy Isaac and he was on top of things. We just blew out the circut. He had us up and running in no time. I loved the separate kitchen quarters. The early birds could get up early and start coffee & chat without waking others. Jennifer the host that met us was wonderful and always available. The only issue I'd suggest is to color code the keys. With separate casita's most had different key locks. I finally got it after 24 hours. The air conditions ran very good. The pool was clean and refreshing. We had plenty of room to park two golf carts. Being South was so close to a couple of fabulous beach clubs, Samura Japanese, Mango's for breakfast, Punta Sur, The Joint, DeNuccio'a just down the street. Every meal was incredible. I'm a Realtor and loved being next to some gorgeous houses, I'd definitely stay here again. The location, views, privacy. From the beginning Gabriel who booked us, the house host Jennifer and maintenance guy Isaac made it very easy and enjoyable. Thank you Casa del Sol team!

Excellent and affordable casa del sol was in perfect location and large enough for all of us alone time,but also great for eating together or not! Fit our family perfectly! The only thing I would recommend would be a mini fridge by the bar by the pool! Thank you so much!! The Kearbey’s

We had a amazing trip beautiful house

We stayed 8 nights with 8 people in July. Pros: The house is very clean and conveniently located for activities in the southern part of the island. There's a very nice view from both bedrooms on the second floor. The beds are very comfortable and the A/C worked great! The kitchen is well equipped. The grounds are nice and the pool area is a great place to hang out with a drink and cigar after a day at the beach. The layout of the house is a bit odd, but it provides opportunity for privacy if traveling with other families. The layout has a very disconnected feeling from others in your travel group -- clearly, this can be good or bad. The common area just inside the entrance of the house is a great place to gather contingent on weather. In July, it was too hot for us to use other than to have a place to store beach and dive equipment.A few cons: We were told that the house had a washer and dryer; in fact, a washing machine is still listed on VRBO. We did not have access to either. This caused minor issues with our travel plans because we were scheduled to attend a conference after leaving Isla Mujeres. We packed accordingly, thinking we'd have access to a W/D. Also, renting a golf cart is optimal due to the location of the property. It's about a 15 minute golf cart ride to the north part of Centro and Playa Norte. Although the drive is beautiful, it becomes a bit annoying after multiple trips per day. Of course, there's plenty to do and many nice restaurants (Limons, the Joint,..) in the southern part of the island, so this may not be an issue for many families. Arranging taxi service on the island is very easy, but slightly more challenging in the southern end of the island. We visit Isla Mujeres every year. I probably would not rent this house again because of the location. We tend to spend more time on the northern part of the island, so being closer to Centro and Playa Norte is more important to us than it may be to others. I am a scuba diver, so on the days I had dives scheduled, especially for my AM dives, it took a lot of coordination within our daily activities. On the other hand, the location could be perfect for families who prefer a quiet area. Either way, the house is very nice, well equipped, in a safe area, and would be perfect for many families.

The property was well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the pool in the rear with a covered sitting area and table. The only real issue we found was with the key system. The rooms may be able to be rented separately so there are different keys for each area. Having two sets of keys with 6 people was always a "Who's got the keys" when leaving or needing to go to the restroom. That was only a minor issue and did not prevent our enjoying the house and all of it's amenities. The house has great views of the ocean and the surrounding areas from the rooftop. Being on the south end of Isla, made for a quite stay with very little traffic noise. The distance from the central area and Playa Norte was not an issue and could be reached with a 10 to 15 minute ride. If you have a large group, it is a great location where everyone can share a common kitchen / dining / living room but have private bedrooms.

This place is comfy and clean and it's in a great location on the south side of the island. The ocean is just across the road with a nice view from the balconies. The two masters are completely separate which is terrific for couples and their children. The downstairs shower is actually located in one of the bedrooms but that didn't bother anyone. I'm a light sleeper and sound travels well in the house (as happens in concrete buildings) so I wish I'd brought ear plugs but it's a minor complaint. The yard is gorgeous. Staff was friendly. I would stay here again, especially for the price. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 5 nights with 8 people. The view from the roof and the upstairs balconies was fabulous. We loved the central courtyard and gorgeous tiled staircase. It was nice to have a kitchen, though we didn’t cook as much as we planned to since the Joint was so close. I definitely recommend renting golf carts. We took the golf carts into town and to North Beach each day. Can’t wait to come back to Isla Mujeres and Casa del Sol!

The house layout does not work well, we barely used the pool since it is located in the back. The washer did not work, they were supposed to get a technician to look at it, but he never came. The showers all clogged up so we had sitting water and had to shower with sitting water. They did fix the AC in the kitchen area. I wish I could recommend this house because it is nice, but it's hard to. I hope they fix the issues.

Great space! Glorious view! Easy folks to work with. A little out of town which was great for us. Met us for check in to go over things. Didn’t have an issue while there. At first were nervous about the separate areas and locks but it worked out great! Will definitely rent again. Price was perfect as well.

My sons and their girlfriends each had their own rooms/suite which allowed for such a great trip. Our 12yr old had th front room and her own privacy (a big deal at that age). The pool was well used. Can’t really come up with any negatives and we will use it again.

The house is big, clean, and has a great layout where we could all gather and then each of the 4 couples could retreat to their own private room. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are separated from the downstairs bedrooms by a lovely courtyard. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the courtyard. The two downstairs adjoining bedrooms share a toilet and sink, and the shower is located in the bedroom with the double bed. Both bedrooms have a separate entrance. There are two spacious master bedrooms upstairs with balconies and in suite bathrooms. The beds are all comfy, the view is spectacular, and all the windows open up to the fabulous ocean breezes. We especially enjoyed coming home to the pool and tiki-bar after our days of touring Isla. The house is located on the southern end of Isla, so, a golf cart is necessary but we enjoyed the ride to and from town. Our contact was Kate, who was very helpful with anything we needed while we were on the island. Isla is a fun place to visit and staying at Casa Del Sol really enhanced our Mexican vacation. We will definitely rebook when we visit Isla next time.

Everything about this house was perfect. The location in Punta Sur was peaceful and quiet for when we wanted to get away from the beach and Playa Norte. The mornings were peaceful and we met many great people out walking in the morning. The house is directly across from the ocean where we watched sea turtles and the waves while the sun rose. The house is arranged for privacy and community all at the same time. The backyard and the roof were ideal for us as we were a group of friends visiting for the week. We were able to cook meals, eat outside or in the kitchen, and enter different areas of the house at different times without disturbing those who were sleeping early or waking up late. It was also fantastic meeting people on the island and telling them we were staying in the "big yellow house" because everyone knows it. We even made friends with the construction workers building new homes behind the property. They were friendly and respectful of their working times so they didn't disturb. Booking the property was easy and our damage deposit was returned in just a couple of days of checkout.

Our family enjoyed the twelve days we spent at Casa Del Sol and look forward to a possible return in the future. We have been going to Isla since 1989 and see the island getting busier and busier. Casa Del Sol allowed the pace to be very relaxed and calming as it felt back then. Always a must on Isla is a Golf Cart, although not inexpensive well worth the added cost to see a laid back and very safe feeling island mere miles from a bustling Cancun. Taxis are a very easy phone call away despite the possible language barrier. Call and within ten minutes they arrive day or night. Would recommend for various families young and old. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family just spent two weeks at this nice villa. We were 6 adults and three children. The two large upstairs master suites were ideal for two couples and the other couple with the children shared the downstairs bedrooms and bath. It was just perfect. We loved the Mexican style courtyard, it was a great place for family gatherings and a safe place for the children to play as it is closed in. There was always a nice breeze blowing in the courtyard, which we appreciated on very hot days. The pool was large and warm as it is in the sun most of the day. We have been to Isla many times but this was the first time at Punta Sur. It's a long way from the North beach, which is the best beach, and all the shopping and restaurants but we enjoyed the quietness. Of course there are restaurants all over the island and on the south end we loved eating at the popular "The Joint" which is walking distance from the house. They have live entertainment every day. We rented a golf cart for the whole time to get around the island, I would recommend doing so. The staff was very helpful, gardeners and pool guys came by regularly to maintain things and all were polite and discrete. All in all it was a beautiful villa with great ocean view and amazing sunrises. I would recommend this home.

We had a great week here and really enjoyed the pool, outdoor bar/eating area and upper balconies. We stayed here with our 3 kids (1.5, 3 & 6) and our in laws and had more than enough room. The area is quiet and there aren't any stores in walking distance, so a golf cart rental is ideal, but taxis are a great option as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location on the south end of the island. Quiet and roomy. Booking the house through mundaca real estate made our trip so stress free. We will be going to the island again knowing that the staff at mundaca will find us another beautiful, accommodating place to stay. Can't wait till 2016 spring break. Thanks
