La Isla residences are my first option in SPI

Our family has spent many summer vacations on South Padre Island. We all agreed that this was our favorite condo! First of all, the condo was super spacious and we had plenty of space for all of us (6 adults, toddler and a baby). We were impressed that there we so many small details that often go overlooked. The kitchen was well supplied, the owner even sent us a list of everything supplied in kitchen including spices! The location on the south end of the island was quite a bit quieter than the north end of the island. We also really enjoyed the pool. We will definitely be back!

Perfect property for your South Padre Island stay! David has a wonderful binder full of information on where to eat and what to do on the island if you are a first time visitor to the island. Condo is spacious, clean, bright and is decorated with art from island artists. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again!

Great location. Pools were not heated as advertised and equipment in gym was broken. The actual condo was wonderful.

Overall the experience was good. There were a couple items we needed to get clarification on how to use. Communication with the property manager was great, overall a positive experience.

Very nice and spacious condo. We had a wonderful time there. David was great to work with and was very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!

This property was very well equipped from dishes to towels. The property is located within 8 mins walking to the beach. Prime location next to restaurants and activities. Property consists of 2 pools and hot tubs. Very nice view from the balcony. We rented golf carts so it was very easy to get up and down the island. Walmart and HEB within mins of the condo. Highly recommend!

Loved this place. The ONLY thing we had trouble with was getting through the pedestrian gate. The key we had didn’t open the only gate we located on the property so we walked around through the vehicle gate entrance the first day. The next days we drove to the isla park. It was probably better to drive. When we walked around the first day it was a 15 minute walk which was a bit too much exercise than we wanted. Other than that everything else was great. The blinds to the sliding door didn’t work but that wasn’t an issue since we didn’t need to dim the living room for any reason. Would definitely stay again!

The property was amazing. It was perfect for our group of 7. The manager was easy to get in contact with. While our clogged toilet was not resolved during our stay, we still had an accessible bathroom so it was not inconvenient. I loved the book of suggestions for places to eat. It is perfect for first time SPI visitors.

We loved everything about this great property. Parking was easy with the assigned spot and an additional guest spot. No keys needed bc gate and door are code protected. The pool was very nice and not overly crowded. Actually there are two pools. There is no direct beach access but Isla Blanca is very close. The property is very spacious. The more I write the more I can’t wait to be back!

Where do I start?! From the booking to arrival to departure and everything in between; everything was perfect. David was amazing; he got all the info to me before arrival making check in very smooth. The evening we go there I realized we didn't have the gate key to walk down to the beach so I texted David and he brought it right over the next morning! My kids loved that they had room to spread out in the condo and I loved the fully stocked kitchen so I could make meals for us rather than eating out every night or worrying about bringing our own cookware. Coffee in the mornings on the patio was the best! I could go on forever about all the great things. This was such a great experience for our kiddos and I'm glad I found this condo for our kiddos first time at the beach!! We will definitely be back!

This was our first family trip in about 8 years and we definitely chose well. This was also our first use of VRBO, which was so simple and smooth. The trip consisted of myself, my wife, and our four kids (15, 12, 9, 3). My wife’s grandpa also stayed two nights with us as well. I am a researcher and had never been to SPI. I looked at so many properties, that even my 15 year old said she couldn’t remember what I chose! THE CONDO: There was a ton of space for everyone to relax and spread out. It was stocked with anything you could ever want for a short stay. The price for the 5 day trip was very comparable and most times less to what two rooms for a hotel stay would have been. Plus, it allowed us the amenities of all the space, a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and washer/dryer. So we actually saved money by cooking some meals. It was very clean. David was super easy to communicate with. There is an awesome book that details the island, the condo, and even has restaurant reviews of the area. In fact, when someone would mention a restaurant option or a beach, my daughter and I would find ourselves mumbling, “well, David just said that it was ok and not very good.” Having never been to SPI, I was not sure about the layout of the island in relation to the beach. The map looked like everything was close, but was anxious about that going into it. After being there, I realized that unless you want to be ocean front, it literally doesn’t matter where else on the island you stay. They are all the same distance to the beach. The condo is on the 4th floor, but there is a large elevator right next to the door. There are also luggage carts on the bottom level. The condo was super quiet. We had people beside use but I never knew until I saw them on the balcony one day. The view is of the end of the island. You could see across the bay to SpaceX as described. You could also see the beaches on either side. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning. The walk to the beach was about 7 minutes with four kids and a wagon. But it was very direct. The beach is beautiful and after driving the entire island, this section of the beach was very quiet and family friendly. The waters are shallow (up to my waist for a long ways) which made it great for kids. Me and the kids even walked down at night to walk.m. There are two pools that are smaller, but functional and the kids loved them. Two large hot tubs as well. 5 stars and would stay again!!!

This property was exactly what I was expecting. It was clean, roomy, well supplied and the location is fabulous. David has provided a great resource of local restaurants and activities. I loved sitting on the balcony in the morning, the location to the beaches and restaurants. If we were to return to SPI I would definitely try his place first.

This is a very nice condo. It was very clean and was plenty of room for 6 of us. Mattress and mattress covers need some updating but did not take away from our vacation enjoyment. There were some things that were to be supplied which we needed to go get but we stayed in an off season (November) and we had no issues getting what we needed nearby. Things are explained well inside the book in the condo which was helpful. We hope to return sometime in the future. Thank you !

Can’t say enough great things about this place! First, the property was just as described. Very clean and comfortable. Pantry was stocked with so many things, coffee, napkins, plastics wear, seasonings etc.. the list goes. We had a great time! If we decide to take another vacation in South Padre we would definitely stay again. Thank you David!
