I honestly don't think I could have chosen a more perfect house. This was absolutely beautiful and the location couldn't have been more perfect. IT was close to everything you could have wanted and we were able to enjoy the fantastic quiet backyard and grill. Perfect for having extra people come visit.

We were born and raised in Brownsville/SPI so we go to SPI to visit our beloved beach and family every summer from Austin and Houston. Casa de Tortuga did not disappoint. It was so clean when we arrived and had everything you needed. The pool was a hit and the house was a quick walk to beach.The property manager was also so responsive, nice, and helpful.It is now one of our top favorite stays.

The hosts were very welcoming & we had great communication! The instructions provided gave us everything we needed to know. The home was very clean & all accessories provided were very helpful. Also, great view for all the action in town & nighttime fireworks. The beach was one block over & it was easy to access. My family had a great time & appreciated the great hospitality of our home away from home.

Had a great time and will definitely come back. Home was equipped with everything you needed and more. Beautifully decorated and Super clean and beds were as comfortable as a 5 star resort. The pool was amazing and my family truly enjoyed the wrap around porch and deck. This property is a gem. Host and management were super responsive and helpful. Top notch service!

The Casa de Tortuga is better than pictured or imagined! We were a party of 10 and very well accommodated. Instead of writing a detailed review, I can really allow the pictures and owner description to speak for themselves! The grounds and pool were spectacular! When we arrived the home was ready for us-a/c and fans were on and we were welcomed to a cool environment.
The kitchen is probably the best equipped that I've ever seen in a rental property. There were more than enough dishes to serve all of us. Also, there were plenty of places to hang damp swim wear.
The owners also welcomed our dog who loved exploring the grounds. And their communication with me was excellent from the time we arrived until our departure.
I would gladly stay here again.

The property was exactly how it is presented online and we couldn’t have been happier. We had a party that included 4 teens, a baby, and 3 adults. There was plenty of room and the house was very presentable on arrival. Check in process was easy and management was responsive to our 3 questions.
Location was perfect. Close to the beach and walking distance to the theme park, restaurants and other amenities. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We had a great time at this property. It was well stocked and clean. Providing beach chairs and icepack and a cart to carry them.to the beach was unexpected and greaty appreciated. The heated pool worked without any issues. Overall very clean and a great property. Highly recommend it

We love the house and location. The beach is literally less than a five minute walk from the house. Beach chairs and towels are included with the rental. The owners were very responsive. We would not hesitate renting Casa Tortuga again.

We took a 4 day trip to SPI with the family like we used to when we were younger but this home was our absolute favorite place to stay! We will definitely be staying again if given the opportunity! It was a short walk to the beach and was big enough for the 13 of us. The owners had everything we needed inside the home (ie, kitchen essentials, bath towels, pool towels, etc). The pool was just perfect and we loved the privacy of having it all to ourselves. Jack and Esther had everything one would need in this home and they were quick to respond to any inquiries we had. We would highly recommend this home!

Had a nice time even though the weather didn’t cooperate with us. House has plenty of room & everything you need. Really liked the location with easy access to the beach and to the bay. Owners were very quick to answer any questions.Will definately try to make this visit again !!

We have stayed at quite a few VrBOs over the past few years and this one exceeded our expectation.
The pool was perfection and warm and the pool light was so fun for the kids. They swam all day everyday.
Downstairs kitchenette is perfect for quick snacks and storing beverages and snacks and conveniently located next to the pool!
Kids loved the bunk room and hung out in it when not in the pool.
Traveling with 6 girls the guys appreciated 3 bathrooms.
Communication with host was so easy and they always responded in a timely fashion.
The house was private, quite, prime location and everything we were expecting and more.
If we ever go back to south padre island, we will 100% be staying at this house again.

September is our favorite time to come to South Padre. We came with 4 adults and 5 small children. The pool was a perfect size for us.
We appreciated the extras such as beach chairs, a cooler and a wagon for our short walk to the beach. Beautiful sunsets at a boardwalk area on the bayside were just one block away. The property managers were very diligent to respond to any issues that we had. We would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed in South Padre before, but nothing has compared to this beautiful home. It’s well stocked, gorgeously decorated and comfortably accommodating for a large group. The pool was so inviting that I had to drag my parents out of it to get down to the beach. The house itself is like a mini resort. Our favorite feature was the downstairs kitchenette that allowed us to prepare and enjoy barbecue and drinks poolside without having to run up and down the stairs to the main kitchen. It was wonderful bonding time with our family, we didn’t want to leave! I would definitely book Casa de Tortugas again!

Fantastic place!
We had a fabulous time! It was awesome that the owners provided beach towels, chairs, a wagon, and pool toys. The outdoor shower was really helpful too, especially with kids. Our group of 11 had plenty of room. The location was great too- a 10 minute or less walk to the beach for most of our group- and one person would drive the car with the awnings, chairs, coolers, etc, to park closer. There were plenty of spots in the small parking lot by the beach access on weekdays as long as we got there in the morning. But it would be easy for one person to drive up & drop off the heavy stuff & go back to the house & walk too. Highly recommend! If we can swing it, we’ll be coming back. Thank you for a great stay!

Sleeping accommodations were good. Kitchen, dining area, and living area was cramped. No way 7 adults can be in these areas at the same time. Pool area was fantastic! Enjoyed it very much.

Perfect Place for Vacation in SPI
This property was awesome! The kitchen had every utensil you could need for vacation. The bedrooms were a nice size and the mattresses were comfortable. The pool in the back was beautiful--with umbrellas strategically located to help prevent sunburn. The walk to the beach was only a block, and a wagon and beach chairs were provided to make it super easy. The home is located very close to The Blue Marlin grocery store as well as several coffee shops, restaurants, and gift shops. It was also nice to be able to bring our Yorkie, as dogs are allowed if approved. There are two charcoal grills that made things super easy. We loved this home!

Excellent for families!
Casa De Tortuga was perfect for our family of 10 for a week long vacation on the Island! House was clean, and the pool was beautiful. We traveled with a 9 months old and the small shallow part of the pool with an umbrella was perfect for her! We were able to get in touch with property managers while on the trip in just around 12hrs (non emergent problem). House was in perfect proximity to the beach and restaurants!

Absolutely amazing!
The house was beautiful and very well equipped. We had absolutely everything we needed. The location was great as everything was a short walk away. Also, hosts always responded to messages in a timely manner. We loved staying here and would definitely book again!

Girls Getaway
My family had a girls getaway to help reset and relax after the sudden death of my father in Jan. The house was clean, furnished well and very comfortable! The heated pool allowed us to use the pool every day we were there! Unfortunately, the house behind us had spring breakers and played loud music and were noisy and up late. The local is great for food, shops and the beach all easily within walking distance. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having two levels so we could spread out! Kitchen was stocked with cooking items and utensils; no spices and we needed to buy additional toilet paper and paper towels. The house had a washer and dryer but you need to bring your own detergent. Overall, my family truly enjoyed it here!!

Beautiful, well-appointed home.
This home is exactly as pictured. It is very clean, and everything has been refreshed. It is a great location for the beach (1 1/2 blocks to an access) and the Bay (1 block). Very close to Gravity Park, good restaurants, coffee and ice cream places. IGA 1 block away. My family loved it! 🙂

Great home for our family. It was a cold week on the island but glad the pool was heated and the kids where still able to swim.
