From check in to check out was effortless. Property was impeccably clean, my kids and i were very impressed with the setting. Everything to make this vacation a home away from home was as expected. Even when i called for assistance, the response was immediate. Will definitely recommend this property to my friends who plan to visit SPI. Location and neighborhood very lovely. Location can’t be beat! Across the street from beach without all the blowing sands or dampness. We have been coming to SPI for 10 years for a winter getaway and This was our second winter here and the best equipped condo we have stayed in! Amber from the management company is very attentive to all of our needs and wants. Best of all is the heated pool and hot tub, and outdoor kitchen with tv. Great for gatherings and super bowl parties.

Stayed in October and it was the best timing. Had the complex to ourselves including the pool. The pool was perfect for little ones with a max depth of 4ft. Was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the condo/pool. Bedroom and kitchen linens had been freshly laundered though I’m not sure the comforters and throw rugs on the bed are routinely cleaned (didn’t look it). Was concerned about bugs being on the first floor but didn’t see a single one. First floor was convenient with our baggage but I wish I would have been told 102’s patio looks out to the dumpster. Water pressure and heat were great with showers. Overall, very happy with our stay and would come again. 4 stars for several reasons - several of the provided equipment (beach umbrella and fan) didn’t work. Management was quick to respond and provided replacements for both. On our second day management unlocked the door and tried to let themselves in (maybe she didn’t know we were there?). We had double locked the door so my husband let her in. She proceeded into the guest bedroom to check for paint after my husband told her our sleeping infant was in that room. There was no paint and we were left with an abruptly awoken baby. Overall, communication was great, however, they failed to tell us there was construction to the road outside the complex where we are supposed to park. It being off season, we were able to park along the main road but I could see parking being a problem if it had been busy.

Wonderful property, great location to the beach and activities, Amber took care of all of our needs and the managers answered promptly. We would def stay here again...

We rented 4 units for ourselves and the families of our three daughters. The condos were well equipped and very convenient to the beach. The pool and patio area were great for getting everyone together for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

The stay was pleasant and relaxing. The property is a two minute walk from the room to the water. Lots of amenities with in minutes for location.

We stayed for a week. We rented out 4 of the units.The accommodations were perfect. It was a home away from home. Walking distance to the beach, which we walked almost everyday. The pool area was absolutely beautiful. I want to give a big shout out to Amber. If we needed anything or had any questions she was just a phone call away. We would definitely recommend this rental and would rent again.

The Athena Ares property was absolutely great. Condo was super clean and extremely comfortable for our family. The grounds are wonderful with lots of great green grass if you have a pup. The pool and hot tub are sparkling clean. Best of all you are a 2 minute walk from the beach. South Padre winds can get a bit strong at time and this condo complex is sheltered which makes sitting on the outside patio a pleasure. Awesome place...will definitely return.

We had a great time in South Padre, and this was a wonderful place to stay. Super short walk to the beach, with a heated pool & hot tub we used when it was too cool to swim in the ocean. We didn’t even get to play on the outdoor pool table. Maybe next time!

Our family loved our stay. So close to the beach. The beautiful pool and hot tub were wonderful. The pool table was used daily. Chairs and wagon in room to take to the beach was much appreciated. The inside of our condo was all exactly as described in the listing. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was great. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Athena Ares!! All the comforts of home. Everything you need for a day at the beach with a perfect patio to relax in the evening. Everything about this location is perfect. The beach is right across the street. Walking distance to several restaurants. Enjoyed our stay!!

Great property, location, cleanliness and experience. Love the amenities including the jacuzzi, pool, pool table and BBQ even though we didn't get to use all of them. Communications with owners and property manager were great. The dogs loved it. Would definitely look at this property next time we visit. We visited two years ago at Thanksgiving and again this year. Everything was fantastic here! Location, amenities, each condo…everything! Our group of 19 couldn’t have asked for a better place for our summer trip. Walk in the back yard for our private pool; walk across the street for the ocean. We used the grill for a couple meals and it was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful place. We would come back and stay again!

The rental had the essential amenities for a beach stay. The condo was spacious and very comfortable. The proximity to the beach is perfection. The pool area is comfortable, however, the online photos do make the space appear much larger and spacious than it actually is. Other than that, it’s a great propriety and conveniently located! Incredibly comfortable and family friendly. Would definitely be back!

Our large group loved our stay at Athena Area condos for the third time! The clean pool, close beach access and nice rooms make it the perfect place to kick off summer!

This is a great property that has recently been renovated. It is in a great location with only a short walk across the street to the beach and with in 1.5 miles of all of the restaurants and entertainment. Quiet neighborhood. Nice pool. Love having the beach equipment supplied. We would stay here again if we return to SPI.

This was our second time staying at this condo. We really love all the amenities and the quietness of the area! The owners really go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect! We will definitely be back again!

The condo was great, very clean and had plenty of room. My family enjoyed our little get away and enjoyed the pool which was very clean and very well maintained. The location of the condo was great, just a short walk to the beach where we all enjoyed the sand and water. I would definitely recommend this property to others and I see my family returning to this condo again.

Have stayed at this property for years. Combination of close to beach, only six units sharing common area, heated pool/hot tub and dog friendly make it hard to beat. Owners have made a number of updates in the past couple of years. Management is responsive.

Had the whole condo building to ourselves nobody checked in all weekend. Was nice but was expecting more people around being spring break. Weather did play a small role. Overall good time made the best of it!

excellent location on South Padre.. haven't been to SPI in 7-8 yrs and thoroughly enjoyed it. Condo location was perfect: just across Gulf Blvd with public beach access 2 minutes away. Beach equipment was a plus and couldn't have asked for better. Kitchen utensils and equipment couldn't be better; plenty of bath towels, etc. Pool well maintained and a welcomed respite. We'll definitely be returning when we next stay at SPI. Guests should take time especially to read the owners' Shutterfly Welcome Book -- a supremely touching tribute to a much-loved family member.

We have stayed at this property multiple times. We absolutely love coming here with our family.

This is a GREAT for families or large groups. My disabled niece really appreciated the pool! We rented 4 units and the arrangement was great. The walk to the beach easy and access to amenities so easy some of the teens were able to walk to some of the places nearby. Don't forget the breakfast tacos at the Valero a few blocks away, cheap and great!

The location is great, it is a one minute walk to the beach. Everything was clean and neat. The wagon, chairs, and umbrella provided was perfect for hauling beach goodies. The pool was great also. We will definitely be back😀

The property was wonderful. Very clean and the pool area was fabulous. The great thing is the beach access was across the street. My grandchildren, again, loved the pool. I will be back and hopefully rent out all the units. have a big family gathering. One thing that I will always remember is meeting Mr. Kennedy. He told my wife the story behind the name of the property. Once I read the book in the condo, my heart went outto him and his wife. Mr Kennedy you are truely blessed.
