The Annexe is really accessible from the train station. We decided to walk the 40 mins our first day to get a feel for the area and discovered Holgate Windmill on the way which we wouldn't have seen otherwise, along with local shops and a few pubs. The bus stop is just around the corner and the bus doesn't take long at all. The guides, directions and take out menus provided were very helpful. The shower is pretty powerful and the bed very and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery etc, and all towels and bedding provided. Rich was a lovely host, welcoming us on arrival and even offered us a later check out which we were very grateful for.

Perfect location. 10 minutes bus journey to city centre. The Annexe was perfect for a short break. Very clean, comfortable and warm.

It was like a little oasis, a home from home. We could have been anywhere. It was peaceful, well kitted out for flexible meal choices, whether we wanted to cook up a storm or have a takeaway and felt safe. The decor is pleasant and the information was very detailed. We thought the croissants, butter and jam were a lovely touch.

It would have been nice to have the fire working to give the full Christmas feel and the duvet was a bit too thick making it very warm in the night, but at least there was a fan!

Everything was perfect, the location, the property, the hosts. Thank you. Brilliant place to stay when visiting the city then get a quick bus back to the property.

Everything was perfect. So clean and well thought out. From the lovely welcome and local area knowledge from one of our hosts and the thoughtful extras like milk and croissants, it was one of our favourite stays.
