What an absolute gem the 'Holgate Snug' is Beautifully decorated and furnished, had absolutely everything you'd need for a longer stay, we stayed for two nights, but I'd love to have stayed longer Location is also great, short walk into York City centre (approx 16 mins), will not hesitate to return or recommend

Beautiful apartment. Well decorated. Felt boutique. Really well equipped.

Smell in bathroom wasn’t great. Think it was coming from the mop that was lent against the wall in the bathroom. Don’t really expect this when in boutique accommodation. Also appreciate there was a steamer available but not always ideal, iron would have been more useful

Very impressed! Decor is lovely, everything was spotless. Very convenient, central location, but still quiet and peaceful once inside. We really enjoyed our stay.

Noticed it's lacking a full length mirror. It's a girl thing... but I'm not very tall, so it's always a much appreciated bit of kit when getting ready for an event :)

Key safe was really fiddly, low down and the mechanism was difficult to open. The front door lock was also difficult to lock. Outside the door looked unkempt. Quite a bit of noise late at night from the courtyard below.

Great location, 5 minute walk to train station, and 10mins the walk to centre of York. Apartment very clean, comfortable and well appointed with lots of attention to detail.

Lovely place!!! Absolutely worth to visit and stay in!!! Everything in high standard, all important information about the property, town attractions and important numbers you can find in the black book :) Highly recommended

The Tv had no aerial so resulted in catch up tv only also the bedroom across from the bathroom the heater did not work but apart from this it was a lovely place to stop

Very easy to collect the keys, all as per instructions provided by the owner. Directions were provided too which was useful. Easy access from the railway station and we found a short cut!

It might have been useful to have a dish cloth to use especially if you didn't have enough washing up to go in the dish washer but this is minor but worth mentioning.

The property was perfectly located from the station and all the sightseeing areas were easily accessible. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The water pressure in the shower was perfect. The bedrooms were so comfortable and uniquely decorated. The property looked exactly like the photos and we’d like to visit again in the future.

The decorations such as the artificial plants needed to be cleaned, they’re unfortunately very dusty which caused my allergies to play up throughout my stay and sadly there was a smelly damp mop that was in the bathroom.

Great location for visiting York, it is on a busy road but no traffic noise in bedroom. Lots of little extras in the kitchen if you forgot you teabags which was great! Good modern style with everything I needed for the 4 nights

Bad Smell in the bathroom guessing it was a drain issue! Not live tv and the router is in the downstairs property, we had a signal issue hitch meant I had to contact the company and the downstairs flat had to be accessed to reboot the Wi-Fi. Tv in bedroom not working but wasn’t a major issue. Under the bed was dusty and there was a black sock which did not belong to us!!!

What an amazing property! It is fantastically located very close the city centre, with a local shop right round the corner. The place is beautifully decorated, with quirky features and a clever use of space. The bathroom is particularly great, and the beds make you never want to wake up! I can’t recommend this property enough to anybody looking to stay in York.

The apartment is a delight - very cozy and clean, must be recently refurbished and the space is well organised, the kitchen is well equipped with some supplies above the essentials. We were arriving late and it was very easy to retrieve the keys. Location is 15 minutes walk from the center and there is a street with a free parking 3 minute walk away.

The only (BIG) disadvantage is that windows of both bedrooms are overlooking a tiny inner yard most of which is occupied with a jacuzzi: on our 1st night in the apartment there was a company of ladies enjoying jacuzzi up to 1am in the morning - because of the proximity you have a feeling that the conversation is happening in your bedroom; on our 2nd night there was a drunken and very loud company that decided to enjoy the jacuzzi at 2:45am - there was no reaction after a polite request and only at 3:15am after several warnings from us and other neighbours to call the police they stopped shouting and came back inside. I think the agreement with the owner of the apartment below that jacuzzi should not be used after 11pm could remedy the situation.

Fantastic location. Only a 5 minute walk from York Station and 10 mins from town. Loads of pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Apartment was beautifully furnished and equiped, just what we needed as a family of four.

You have to balance a fantastic central location with noise as the 1st floor apartment is situated on a main road. However, its well worth the stay as the bedrooms are situated towards the rear of the property which is quiet and enables a good night sleep!!

Location is perfect for walking into York. The apartment was really clean and facilities excellent.

Obviously the parking isn't ideal, but you have to work with it.
