Amazing hotel worth every penny, great central location and best hotel I have stayed in York. Room was huge had corner sofa and lots of nice touches including robes, proper mugs, ear plugs, eye mask, bottled water and a huge king size bed.
Excellent service by the staff and breakfast was beautiful full English or can order off the menu very healthy no fat at all.

On our arrival there was milk and water in the fridge to make tea or coffee.
But when the room was cleaned the next day, the bottle of milk was removed and the water was not replenished. So how were we supposed to make tea and coffee?
When the room was serviced the bathroom floor was not clearly not swept and dirty glasses were not removed.

Stayed only one night… would have been very happy to stay longer. Very decent double bedroom with very large bathroom. All the usual facilities. First class breakfast. Would recommend arriving early if you want to be sure of car parking space. Within walking distance of city centre and attractions. Highly recommend and would happily stay here again.

Beautiful room- ideal for one person with garden view. But, I arrived early and asked for somewhere to change after a long train
Journey. I was directed to the toilets. I changed in the disabled/baby changing toilet as I had a large case and bags from travelling which I needed for changing. This toilet was in disrepair and smelled badly. The ladies toilets were modern and fresh. The nappy bin needs to be emptied more regularly and bathroom updated. It does not reflect the rest of the hotel.

Staff very helpful. Particular shout out to Rebecca in the conservatory restaurant for going above and beyond with the kitchen to ensure a delicious gluten-free meal. 👏👏

Smaller than average room for a four star hotel, room was clean enough but breakfast area windows full of cobwebs, dead flies etc.
£11.75 for an average size glass of wine is ridiculous and although able to park I can imagine being problematic for many guests. Breakfast was good quality and in the main the staff were friendly.

Really an exquisite English estate property on a quintessential York street. Everything thought of, provided for, and pulled off to perfection by the management and staff. Worth every cent.

These are just some of the comments my gran told me, it was bought as a birthday present for her, she couldn’t have complimented the hotel more. Everything was fabulous, the staff, food, location. Absolutely everything.

Middletons hotel is in a great central location, it has beautiful ground and is very quiet and peaceful . We stayed in a double standard room which was a little small as was the bathroom but i would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay here, great location for exploring York not too far from any of the sights and has its own car park. Staff were friendly and rooms were comfortable, nice breakfast.

Hotel was brilliantly situated for exploring York. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large with really comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with a roll top bath. Fridge and coffee making facilities were excellent.

Loved this little gem just a short walk from the river. Excellent room, compact but perfect for me.
Staff were very friendly & even prepared a breakfast pack to take with me on departure as I was leaving early.

Room not ready until the advertised check in of 3pm, check out 11am which on a Sunday is not ideal.
Having said that lovely, modern room, comfy bed, rainfall shower if they had a check out of 12pm it would be 100% better!

The main buildings and a lot of the surrounding area ws lovely, but sadly our room was not as nice as I would have liked for the price. It needed updating and had quite a few small issues

A lovely hotel tucked away from the bustle but close for walking. Good check in. Room clean and pretty with free mini bar and lovely white company toiletries. Food very tasty in the tapas restaurant. Only downside is the executuve rooms are roadside, whilst there is secondary glazing its is quite noisy for traffic going past.
