My only complaint is the coupons that you have to use to get a continental breakfast. As soon as you let them know that you plan to only use the coupon, they drag their feet and make you wait a long time. Their service is slow and even when you plan an order, they take a long time. I wouldn’t pay for breakfast when making a reservation.

The food was good, the staff where nice, the location was good but there were things that weren’t working in the room and we informed the staff and never fixed (the phone, the lamps, the fan/fan light). Otherwise ok experience.

The view was amazing, this hotel is right on the beach. It’s an older hotel but well maintained, if you’re planning on exploring the city during your trip it’s perfect. The area is close to the malecón but still quiet. Very family friendly. The included breakfast is small but still good. Service was also great!

It was walking distance to El Malecon Vallarta. The staff was friendly. Safe to walk everywhere, taxies parked in front in case you need trabsportation. Street Tacos around the corner at night were fenominal. Loved the ocean view from our room. Small hotel easy and fast to go up and down the elevator.

Although they had construction running our whole stay. The staff, the location, and convenience of the area made it all worth it.

The property is nice for the price you're paying. However, don't expect to do too much work online since the internet service is poor, almost nonexistent. The restaurant is decent, but you're better off going off site. Overall, it's a nice place to stay.

Like the view I had

The El Pescador is a traditional Mexican hacienda style hotel. It has magnificent views from the beach side rooms, a lovely pool area, and direct access to the beach. They serve a light complimentary breakfast, but there is also a full menu available all day, including happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. The rooms are simple but clean, and the staff is very friendly. The location is great for walking to many delicious taquerías and the famous Malecòn boardwalk. Taxis are also readily available right outside. We would definitely stay again!

Good family hotel right on the beach 948370240 We always enjoy our stay at this well run hotel located just a few blocks from the Malecon. The pool and surrounding area is well maintained and there is a day time access gate to the adjacent beach. The restaurant and bar is also situated in the pool area and open early for breakfast and then throughout the day. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept to a high standard. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Clean rooms and walkable to all areas

I’ve stayed here a few times and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is good and the included breakfast is ok. The facility is well maintained considering they are celebrating 70 years in the business! Close to the Malecon and great value for the price! I’d recommend staying for touring around the immediate area as you can walk easily.

Great beds, room was quiet even though it overlooked the street. Close to the Malecon making it very walkable.

Very affordable and a cool place to stay

This well located Hotel is placed just 2 blocks away from many dinning and entertainment options. The Hotel is loud because of construction going on around it but I truly enjoy staying there. Now, the Hotel is in need of a remodeling (specially furniture) but the cost is very accessible and will not brake the bank. The whole area is very safe even late at night. Swimming pool is well maintained and has access to the beach and that's a big plus for many people. Very light breakfast is included but you could also order a la carte and the restaurant will give you a discount if you're getting its breakfast vouchers. Overall, an excellent low cost choice to visit and enjoy Puerto Vallarta.

Great location!! Staff are great. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but a little tooo basic. A bit dated. No coffee maker or microwave in rooms .

I would stay there again . Easy access to all sights yet situated in a quiet street

Loved that it was on the beach and the pool area was nice. Hotel was very noisy starting early in the morning, very early in the morning. Would have been nice to sit in the deck chairs to watch the fireworks at night but couldn’t enter that area after 9pm.

3rd time there. Location is great. I found some staff were great (Sergio in the restaurant/bar) but some were obviously not happy to be there. Not friendly!!!

Place was clean and roomy staff really friendly and helpful

The first day we got there, our room wasn’t ready that was OK we waited, but we waited for three hours. The room they gave us was filthy, dirty, even look like it had blood on the floor, front desk clerks were very rude they showed us the room I came back down. They said they didn’t have any other rooms available. We could change the next day for an increase in price that was unacceptable. We canceled our room with Expedia and went across the street to a wonderful little boutique hotel, the clerk at the front desk said they would refund our money. It has been 10 days and I finally called back and they charged us one night stay that was OK but my capital one credit card would not let the charge go through because this property has so many disputes for being unsatisfactory so that tells you right there find another place .

Friendly and welcoming staff. Great service. We return every year and are never disappointed.
