Wonderful, modern hotel. Rooms were elegant and very quiet. Location was perfect, walking distance to the castle and many other sites. Staff was incredible. Very helpful with everything from booking tours to dinner reservations. Breakfast was also excellent. Cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was.

Hotel da Baixa was outstanding, charming, fantastic staff, wonderful breakfast and great location for exploring Lisbon !!

Hotel da Baixa is a great 4* hotel in the centre of Lisbon. If you stay here, you won’t need to spend much on public transport or taxis, as many tourist attractions are within walking distance. Many bars and restaurants are within walking distance too, as well as the port. I was in room 115. It is an old building, and the outside cannot be altered. For that reason, some rooms don’t have much natural light. However, there are lots of lights within the room as well as a reading light, and the bathroom has many lights. The bathroom was large with a nice rain shower and 2 sinks. The toiletries provided were great too. There is a laundry service you can pay for if you need it, as well as a hairdryer, umbrella, safe with charging facility inside it, and minibar with some free drinks and bottled water provided daily inside the room and at reception. During the day, fruit or pastries are often available for free. The free walking tour with Pedro was also great and informative. The bed was super-comfortable, and I loved the bathrobe and slippers. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was great with lots of cereal, bread, hot food, fruit and waffles or omelettes can be made there and then. The only thing I would suggest is to have the wait staff walk around and see if anyone wants more coffee. This would be a simple thing to do and save always having to get their attention. The staff at the Baxia were all very friendly and very helpful. The location was perfect for visiting all the tourist sites and for all the transport links. The restaurant was superb. Our room was quiet, well equiped, and the bed was very comfortable.

Wonderful hotel in a great area! Staff was very kind and helpful. Always free water, apples soda. Bar on site which was convenient. Breakfast buffet was delicious excellent eggs, veggies bacon sausage and assorted pastries. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel and staff. Great location in the heart of town

Great location, staff friendly but slow to respond on several occasions. Rooms are spacious but beds were a little hard for me. Walking distance to most attractions, shopping and restaurants.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for four nights. We would highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast had great options, fresh food. The rooms were very clean. The location was amazing. For transportation, it was so close to tram 28, tram 15E for Belem, and 5 minute walk to Rossio train station (to get to Sintra). Central to all landmarks and districts, shopping, restaurants. All staff and service manager were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They did not hesitate to assist us when needed. This is a lovely hotel in great surroundings. The staff are extremely wonderful. It's the only hotel i have been to and offered a decent drink on arrival and it was wonderful to be escorted to my room while also receiving highlights of the hotel. The breakfast was very extensive for just about all tastes. Truly excellent the whole place. I ate in their restaurant which i would teuly recommend.

Pros: in the heart of the historical area/old town of Lisbon. The hotel was in a sought-out area close to many restaurants and various tourist sites. The rooms were pretty quiet, with occasional muffled street noise. Cons: The mattresses were too soft and not flat. Closet/Storage space was limited and there was no ironing board. The twin beds in the ‘kids’ room were not true to the twin size, they were quite narrow. The ‘kids’ room was very small, though it was very nice.

Great staff always happy to help! A lot of small details that make a difference. Would definitely recommend and come back! The only thing that they could improve is that clean of the rooms could be better. During our first day bathroom had some hair in the floor. And the carpets of the aisles looks damaged!

Lovely hotel in great location. It probably needs a little update but it’s not a problem. Lovely stuff always smiling and helpful. Comfortable beds. Complementary bottle of Prosecco and bar are great touch. Breakfast included is a plus.We only stayed one night but if we’re back in Lisbon we wouldn’t mind to stay there again.

Nice location and service

The service in this hotel is Wow. I got someone who parked my car, I got someone who tried to find another hotel for me, for another day, etc. The bed and pillows were very confortable and the products in the bathroom such as soap, shampoo, etc... Amazing product from Codage Paris. The only thing is at the bar, they close early and they ask you to leave immediately when they close, even if you didn't finish your drink. Also, this hotel is on a street that you can only walk. No car allowed.

The hotel was fantastic

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was late in the evening, we knew it was a special property. Everyone on staff was extremely helpful accommodating and went out of their way to ensure that our state was a good one. The training at the hotel is on point, focusing on client satisfaction. The area around the hotel specifically the street itself was a little rundown, but the hotel itself is very modern and upscale you feel like you were staying at Union Square in San Francisco. The rooms are spacious not small like typical European hotels, they had robes and slippers set out for us , there was a complementary bottle of rosé waiting and the room itself was beautifully appointed unfortunately we arrived late. Stayed one day and had to leave early the following day so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we could have was our only regret otherwise we would recommend this hotel is a little bit more expensive than your typical Portuguese hotel but you do get what you pay for. The best things were the breakfast in the morning which was fabulous and there was live entertainment in the evenings from 9:30 to 1130 almost every night. We would highly recommend this place and will stay here again if we return to Lisbon.

The staff and service was excelllent. The food was great! The location was perfect. We just found our room too tight to be comfortable with suitcases. We did find the bed very comfortable and the room was very quiet. Thank you!
