A spur of the moment stay in London. Nice clean and modern accommodation perfect for a low cost one night stay for two adults and 3 children.

Very convenient to Paddington and hence a great place to stay for people coming from Heathrow and wanting a base in London for a few days. We took the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then took the short walk to the Athena Hotel. Then we took the bus or Underground to visit many places in London. Our room was nice: It accommodated our full family without the need for two rooms. The breakfast was also nice and the staff were friendly.

Front desk staff was very friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located about 3 blocks from Paddington train and tube station. We stayed 2 nights and had breakfast at the hotel the 2nd morning. Breakfast was pretty good, continental style, but with hard boiled eggs, meats and cheeses and porridge available. Our room, #26, was very small, with few amenities and some basic things missing —no sink stopper, no Kleenex/tissue provided, no window screen and only one small towel bar in the bathroom that was up so high that my wife couldn’t reach/use it. There are a lot of hotels in this area, so I think we’ll pick another one when we return to this area.

This hotel is conveniently located near Paddington station and close to other walkable areas and parks. The room was clean and well kept. The size of the room is extremely small, in the limit of being non functional. If staying with family think twice

While vacationing in UK 🇬🇧 I surprised my wife and our daughters a day trip and stay over in Amsterdam for her 50th Birthday. I’m very surprised this hotel has apartment size room called (Amstel) it’s a family room that can accommodate up to 6 people, having your own garden view and access to backyard. Heated floors, 2 huge bathrooms and a kitchen dining table with sink. The staff are very helpful and the hotel served breakfast with a fee. Shopping and public park are very close to hotel. Definitely will come back in the future trip to Amsterdam.

Great location near Paddington Station. Quiet area. Superb pub nearby (Victoria). Room was small for 5 adults. Otherwise very correct. Would recommend but confirm room sizes are appropriate for your party.

Lovely hotel, a solid 3 star property. Staff were friendly and the location itself was very good. Very close to Paddington station and just around the corner from lots of shops, food places etc. The family room we stayed in was small and basic but, to be fair, it was as expected. I would stay in this hotel again.

Generally good

Very bad experience. The room was in the level -1 very inconvenient for big luggage. First night we woke up at night to change the room due to a (literally) ceiling rain. In the new room, smoke detector alarm woke up again at 2am. I will never stay again

We enjoyed the fact that so many places, including Paddington Station, were easily accessible. Our room was clean and a fan was provided for the hot weather. All the staff at reception went out of their way to be helpful. They made our stay enjoyable. Thank you.

Basic room annd over priced. Only saving grace was that the staff was courteous but could not justify the price charged for a tiny room, no ac, very few amenities. Coffee cups had residue.

Checked out today from a two night stay in a family room. Our "room" is really a long closet with no windows - seriously not a single window but rather just a skylight. I am not sure how this is even legal. One of the beds is a cot with a metal knob we keep hitting our shins on because it's against the wall in the middle of the room. The linens and towels smell musty, but we haven't asked for a replacement because other reviews indicate the same. I don't usually leave reviews but I'm puzzled by how this was so highly rated for the price and hope to help others avoid the same mistake. We paid $900 for 2 nights, which is about $700 more than I would expect for accommodations like this. The location is fantastic (close to Hyde Park, Paddington Station, and some great restaurants) and check in was easy, but otherwise I'd never stay here again.

It's easy to get to from the station, and the staff are friendly. It was a shame that there was no refrigerator in the room, and that the blinds couldn't be opened because the room was on the ground floor, but I was generally satisfied. I don't know about breakfast, as it wasn't included in the plan. I'd like to stay here again next time I go to London. They also left my luggage after I checked out, so I was able to enjoy it as long as I wanted.

We arrived late at night and had to wait on reception, as there was a sign that they would be back in a few minutes. Our room for 3 was cozy and bathroom small, however it worked for us. The beds were comfortable. We were in a room under the reception area, so we heard footsteps and rolling luggage in the early morning or during the evening with guests coming and going. We didn’t have breakfast but the dining area was clean and quaint. We enjoyed the convenient location and walk ability.

Great location, staff is very accomodating, convenient breakfast and overall a good value. Everything is very clean and a good room to accomodate a family of 5. The only down side was the lack of air conditioning in the room.

Close to Padington station

The staff were friendly and helpful. The are was convenient as it was very close to Paddington station. It was also a short walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. The hotel was clean and adequate.

Wish they had AC, but I guess that's just a European thing. Otherwise, no complaints and a nice stay.

Good location, but in bad condition, even for a budget hotel. Pillows and mattress smelled of sweaty feet and vomit, the closet of mildew, shower pan wouldn't drain properly.

Front desk staff were extremely helpful. A room with bunk beds for our kids was a rare find, and greatly appreciated.

You have to book parking separately, they only have 3-4 spaces available and may not be able to accommodate you if you do not let them know in advance that you need parking. The hotel was lovely, very clean and super convenient. Paddington Station is a quick walk away and the bus tour lines all have stops nearby as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting London!

Excellent location for access to the underground and airport. The accommodations were clean and adequate for my stay. The facilities were great for a family of four.

It's not bad. Stayed there on a hot day and the room never really cooled off all night. A fire alarm or something similar went off at 3:30am, which didn't make for a good night's sleep. Excellent location if you want to be near Paddington Station for a quick train to Heathrow.

Stayed as my brother was in hospital nearby. Staff were very kind, asking after him etc. Nothing was too much trouble.

First room small but relatively clean and comfortable. Until tube trains started - the early morning noise was quite noticeable. Staff changed our room on request - much quieter. Clean and well serviced.

The room is nice and clean. A bit small and humid though. The location is convenient. Close to Paddington train station and other public transportation. Many restaurants and convenient stores nearby. And there is a nice garden nearby.

Ani was very nice and helpful. She made extra effort to help us out even though she was very busy. I would definitely recommend this place.
