Great location, ideal to reach the trams, christmas markets and plenty of transport options outside hotel. Enjoyed the views from restaurant at dinner & breakfast. Dinner was a little expensive but was good quality. Room service very good when we didnt feel like going out. Wonderful views from room. Only niggles are lifts were difficult for two people with mobility issues. Rooftop bar only accessible by lift by asking staff. Believe work being done to improve the hotel, some of which was heard during night and kept us awake. Hotel in general could improve user friendliness but would stay again due to being a perfect location.

We loved the location. In rhe center of the old town with shops and many places to eat close by. The rooftop bar was a perfect place to see the cityfrom above. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Main reception is under construction so a little inconvenient. Check in was so a d room wasn’t ready. Other staff were great and very welcoming. I would stay again location is good.

We had deep dissatisfaction with the service we received during our recent stay. From the outset, the experience was far below what one would expect from a four-star hotel.
Upon arrival, we encountered major issues with the check-in process. Despite being assured that our room would be ready at 3 PM as per our booking, we were told at the reception—where staff were clearly overstretched—to wait 15 minutes. Despite informing the team that I had an important graduation ceremony in a couple of hours and urgently needed the room to prepare and take a shower, we were left waiting in the lobby for over an hour without any further updates. This caused us to miss a dinner reservation and left us no time to freshen up before the once-in-a-lifetime event.
What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of communication. Although the receptionists promised to notify us via message when the room was ready, no such message or call was received. I had to personally contact the hotel at 9:51 PM to inquire about the room status. While we were eventually given a nicer room, it was clear this was simply the only one available and not a gesture of compensation.
The poor service did not end there. The following morning, we were required to change rooms, and to our dismay, housekeeping entered our room at 11 AM without knocking.
How do you plan to compensate me for this experience and to ensure I would consider booking at your site again in the future?

I checked in with Leonard, who was the best person there! Hard to find good front desk agents like him. I got a big suite with a great view. Unfortunately, I had allergy problems in it, but I spent a lot of time on the rooftop patio and the breakfast was good. I'd stay again. Great location too

The only complaint I have is that the hotel does not give its guests preference to go to the roof top bar. We tried 2 times and couldn't get in unless we want to have a long wait so we went to Gastrobar rooftop and had no problem in getting drinks on Saturday night.

Hotel undergoing total renovation of ground floor reception area,this effects the front of hotel ,ongoing for 6 months.
No advance warning,staff ,great ,breakfast ok,very clean hotel . On 7 th floor front facing room overlooking public square and main rd,very central,but sleep effected by old ill fitting seals on windows making it very noisy due to nightlife ,traffic and trams.

We recently celebrated a friend's birthday with a group of five ladies in Portugal, and we had an absolutely amazing time.
Where do I even start when it comes to our stay at Hotel Mundial? From the moment we stepped into the reception until the day we checked out, the staff we interacted with were exceptional.
The location of the hotel was fantastic. It was close to all the best restaurants, shops, and activities, making it the perfect spot to explore the city. Our room was spotless, and we were welcomed with a drink and a special pastry.
For my friend’s birthday, the hotel went above and beyond. They left champagne, wine, and snacks in the room, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Though the hotel's beautiful rooftop restaurant was fully booked, we mentioned our disappointment to Anna, the guest relations manager. Somehow, she worked her magic and secured a table for us. We ended up having a phenomenal dinner with stunning views and first-class service. My friend, who is usually tough to impress, was beyond happy and couldn't stop raving about it.
Anna, Iryna, and Rubin were incredible throughout our stay, as were William at the restaurant and the bartender (whose name I can’t remember, unfortunately). Their hospitality made our experience unforgettable.
I highly recommend Hotel Mundial and will definitely return on my next trip to Portugal!

Rooms are big . They have aged a but and renovations are underway, but you dont feel the noise or dirt. Excellent location, very central and walkable to many attractions.

We booked this hotel at the very last minute as we didn't like the original apartment that we had booked. It was so easy to book and check in and the hotel was like a Palace to our original apartment that we had booked. From start to finish we couldn't fault a think. The staff were so helpful and happy. If I'm ever in Lisbon I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again

The service and attention to needs was very good at this hotel. The breakfast was good, special requests were attended to and they even surprised me with a bottle of bubbly on my birthday!
