Lovely townhouse, within walking distance of just about everything and doesn't cost the earth.

This property was amazing. The location, amenities, detailed instructions, was just perfect. If coming back to York, we will stay here again!

Great location with the Minster just round the corner which proved a great landmark to get your bearings from. A real bonus having the space for two vehicles which proved extra useful when came to unpacking the cars as the street was very busy. The downstairs space was fine as we were rarely all in the house together. The property was chosen for its number of bedrooms, location and parking. All the guests (8) said they would stay there again. Only downside was that the street could be very noisy so perhaps anyone that isn't used to too much noise at night should choose a room at the back of the house.

The owner of the property was extremely helpful and happy to help if/when needed. The property is in reasonable order but would benefit from a refresh in terms of decor, fixtures and fittings eg improve lighting in 1st floor bathroom, install power shower to compensate for poor water pressure. Being able to park securely was a major bonus.

We rented the property as a family for a 40th birthday and it was absolutely perfect! Lots of space for us all and the location can’t be beaten! Janet was a great help and super responsive with queries.

Great house central to everything.

It was great to be near so many places we wanted to visit and plenty of local information was available at the house. We were very comfy and didn't need to argue about which bedroom to have! Everything you'd need for a break has been thought about in great detail and provided. Quick reply from owner when needed. The main road is quite noisy so take earplugs- this wouldn't put me off staying there again.

Really good house in a great location in the centre of York. Janet was a great host and was very helpful when we were looking for parking and also during our stay. We would definitely recommend the house to anyone looking for a place to stay!

Very very close to the city walls and Minster, perfect walking distance. Lovely clean and beautiful house. We’d love to visit again. Free parking in a secure garden was a real bonus.

This is a great house which is only a few minutes from the centre of York, in an area with lots of interesting shops and cafes. We had great communication from the owner and everything we needed was there.

From initial communication to leaving property, this is a superb place. Conveniently situated in the historic heart of York, it is a comfortable, well equipped Town House with a helpful, engaging owner. Superb!

Rented this property for a friend's birthday, property manager was excellent and very helpful with our surprise preparations. Great location very central to all amenities, had a fab weekend break.

The property was warm, clean and comfortable and suited the whole family ages ranged from 2 to 87, although the stairs might be a challenge for some older people. My grandson had a wonderful time with all the 'new' toys he had to play with and his parents were impressed with the organisation of the bedrooms which allowed them to keep him safe, have their own space as well as being with the rest of the family. Sadly my husband and I needed to leave early because my father-in-law was rushed to hospital and died on the Friday but it was wonderful to have had such a lovely last few days with him in York. We have many photos of him with the family laughing, eating, walking and reading books. He died within 24 hours of leaving York but it was due to a stroke no one could have predicted. We are very grateful to have had our last few days with him in such homely surroundings. The neighbours at number 35 were also very chatty, friendly and welcoming - such lovely people!

We loved this house...plenty of room for 6 people. Close to the historical sites, food, shopping, and pubs

We had a fun stop in York on our way back to London. The lovely Victorian house was a stone’s throw from the wall, Minster and the quaint streets and shops. Despite a misty rain, we enjoyed the Chocolate Museum Story tour experience and walking along the wall. Yummy bakeries! The bells of Minster were lovely to hear on Saturday and again on Sunday. We had more than enough room. Wifi, DVD movies, well equipped kitchen and a garage. A great end to our school break holiday!

The house is was perfect for a large group and had all the facilities you could need.
