Perfect location for fringe. Gorgeous aoartmentwith

We were extremely comfortable in Derek’s apartment. Location was great and Derek very communicative. Highly recommend !

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. The apartment was beautiful and overlooked High St., so it was centrally located and we could watch the Fringe street performers from the windows! This made it a bit loud during the day, but the busking stopped around 9 PM, so we didn't have any problems sleeping. The host provided check in information in a timely manner, and everything went seamlessly. Would definitely recommend as a fun place to stay while visiting Edinburgh.

We are a family of 4 adults who prefer to have our own place to spread out, make meals, and that allows us to walk to major attractions. This flat did not disappoint. It's exactly as depicted in the photos, with plenty of space. It was well-appointed. We happened to be in Edinburgh during the Festival Fringe and the large picture windows and benches allowed us a great view of the street performers. We did not have a problem with noise in the evenings, as things quiet down by 10. The flat is also within walking distance to numerous grocery stores, which made it easy to pick up provisions. If I had to criticize anything, it would be that the flat's floors are very squeaky. It didn't bother me, but apparently I had family members wake from time to time when someone needed the restroom in the middle of the night. And to reach it, you have to climb up and down a very steep narrow staircase. It wasn't a problem on a daily basis but we had a very heavy suitcase that was a bear to bring up and down. Overall, I was very happy with this stay.

This property is wonderful. It has historic charm and appears to be renovated to match the location. It is very comfortable with a large living area great for socializing and loved sitting on the window seats looking out at the activities below. We enjoyed the ability to walk around and see the sights with everything close by. The apartment is well furnished with everything you need for a great stay. Will definitely try and book again if we return to Edinburgh.

Perfect location staying on the Royal Mile. We could walk everywhere plus watch all the street entertainment outside the apartment! The stairs up to the apartment are not suitable for people with accessibility challenges so that is the only issue. Great communication with Derek which was appreciated!!

This place is all about location. You are in the middle of everything going on in Edinburgh when you stay here. The other reviews and listing are helpful to letting you know that you will have to navigate a lot of stairs but for us it was definitely worth it. Tip if you have a car- find a spot to pull over on St. Giles if you can- unload luggage, Have one person stay with car and one person go up to apartment to get placard for parking. It is great that a parking spot is included but it is .7 miles away and you need to put placard on dashboard. It does get noisy during the day but if you close windows and shutters it is not too bad. We actually really enjoyed watching all the action when we were in. The apartment is very comfortable and includes everything you would need. Highly recommend.
