We chose this property as it was our first visit to Stockholm and wanted the experience of residing in an old town. The accommodation is in an excellent location opposite the German Church, with the church bells ringing all the time; a unique charm and is not noisy at night. The old town can be busy, but we went to Ostermalm Food Market and cooked in the apartment for 4/6 nights. The kitchen is basic but one is able to cook a meal with ease. The washer/dryer combo is great and we rarely used the dryer, as all our clothes would dry overnight and/or during the day. The bed is extremely comfortable. The bathroom is small, nothing flash but very functional. There are 3 flights of stairs, which we found the final flight the hardest, particularly after sightseeing all day. It is certainly not good if you are older, and bringing up luggage. There is no tv. Hedwig, the owner, communicates well. That said, I think instructions for the property should be located inside the property, as using the App had difficulties for us. I also think a fan could be useful in summer, as the apartment can get a littel warm. These are all minor issues and 'first world problems'. It is a great apartment, if you are after some true immersion into your travel.

We enjoyed our stay very much (once we lugged up our luggage). This home would not be acceptable for anyone with mobility issues or breathing challenges. The island is mostly closed to vehicles, and the church bells quiet at night, so sleeping was quiet and the bed was wonderful! We loved waking up and making coffee to enjoy in the sunny rooms. Then off to walk the island and city! Do visit the VASA & the many other lovely sites. Enjoy!

Location is the key here - right in the centre of the old town this lovely apartment in a very old building was a great finish to our tour through Europe. Apartment is spacious and well equipped. Getting access was well managed by the very friendly host - highly recommended.

You do have to go up three flights of stone stairs and there are no lights in the entry or on the stairs. We arrived late in the evening and luckly we had headlamps and our phones to help us get to the apartment. When you go through the first door go straight ahead to next door, (there are three doors in the entryway). The heat wasn't on when we arrived so it was a bit chilly, probably not an issue if you use it in the summer. Great location.

A great central location to walk to museums, shopping, and sights. Cozy one bedroom with everything you need in a historic building and district. Quiet and comfortable but with the activity of Gamla Stan easily accessed. Short, easy walk to the Tunnelbana.

The apartment is located in the heart of Stockholm's old town - a perfect base for excursions into the city and out to the islands. It is well equipped and comfortable, just as described in the add. Location on the third floor might be a problem for people who are not so good on foot, but not for us;-). Communication with our host Hedwig was very friendly - she smoothly guided us through the procedures and offered a lot of valuable information. Had a great time and will be back.

Great appartment in a fantastic location to explore all of Stockholm. Easy walk or boat ride away. Loads of places to eat with minutes from the appt.
