Hotel was on the hall very good. However, I have never been asked to pay to use the coffee machine fin my room.
Bottled water was only provided on the first evening. Very disappointed.
Staff were actually very helpful, but the hotel was let down by these little things

Hotel was excellent clean. The staff is more than friendly helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you have the best time possible and a great area to walk around. You can ask him for help and they will make sure you get what you need

Central location with easy walking to shopping and a number of excellent restaurants. Surprisingly good food in the lower level of the Pacifica Mall. Excellent cigar bar 5-6 blocks away

We arrived very early in the morning, like 9AM, ans we received service by Rami
Polite, correct but zero friendly, we asked for a early check in and he keept us until 3PM like othe customers
Finally gave us a room with a huge smell of cigarrete
We complaint and he kept for 15 minutes waiting to send someone of housekeeping to put some air cleaner
We didn't accept and we were moved to a new room
Anyway was an unacceptable situation
Seems that if you are a, Expedia customer, you are less than a customer

Hotel collected a $160 “Tax” because I did not have an airline boarding pass. We drove into Argentina from Brazil. Argentina no longer stamps your passport i was told and the website wad not functioning. Be aware

The security staff atairport as well at hotel upon check in to remove all our jewelry and not to go out with anything valuable. We did go for a walk to the Galerias 10 min not many people on streets. Although the ones there other than tourists were dumpster diving or on their way somewhere. Smelled very strongly of urine along the walk. A lot of stores were closed up tight and rebarred. Few were open. More traffic around the mall area. We walked up one street away from mall most stores closed same convenience or cheap souvenir places open. We walked for an hour only asked for money once. Felt safe but of course were not. When we came home at 1230 after a dinner and Tango show streets were dead, on a friday night. We saw only a hanful of people.
Hotel is safe clean, staff amazing. Watch the marble floors in bathroom very slippery when wet. Now off we go on our Antarctica cruise. I will be back on our return

One of the best hotels in the city. The staff is warm and friendly and give great advice to any questions. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. If you’re going to have breakfast tho, cross over to Dos Escudos two blocks down.

Absolutely loved our stay at Alvear Art and would stay again. The location is great- walking distance to bars and restaurants as well as a lavanderia, nail salon, etc. Felt slightly less touristy than some areas, which was a good thing, and safe to walk around. Gym and pool on top floor have a beautiful view of city and the pool is climatized, so nice in the winter. I had a massage and loved it. Rooms are nice- well organized closets with some very slight signs of wear in bathroom and curtains. But standout is service- they were able to accommodate any request (early check in, etc) and all the desk and restaurant staff were helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

Everything about this stay was excellent. The exceptional service by staff, the delicious food, the large and clean room, the awesome pool and hot tub. The location was ideal, centrally located on a quiet street in the Retiro, close to restaurants and easy walking to sights. This is the place to stay in Buenos Aires. We walked by many hotels and none compared to the Alvear Art Hotel.

Summer in Buenos Aires and the air conditioner didn't work in the room

Very nice property. Junior suites were very nice. The included breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. What was really nice was that since we arrived before check in, the front desk gave us access to the spa and showers to freshen up and relax until our room was ready. What was REALLY great was that they extended the same courtesy when we checked out as checkout was noon and our flight wasn't until 11:45p. They held our bags and let us shower and relax before heading to the airport. This was really a nice way to finish of our trip to Argentina.
