Amazing stay! The luxury was in the details; High quality down bedding, large fluffy towels, powerful hairdryer, bathrobe with slippers, coffee machine, several mirror and lots of good lighting. Rooms feel cozy and classy and is extremely functional. Large desk, closet and drawers and a lot of surface space around bathroom sink (very practical). Breakfast was incredible and worth the price: wide selection, high quality ingredients and preparation - and large cups for tea, a small but significant detail for someone who enjoys tea in the morning. Staff was very friendly, and the location of the hotel is extremely practical.

The hotel is in a great, convenient location. It's very central, easy walk to the train station, old town, and elsewhere. The hotel does offer a lot of up-sells, eg, higher-floors, balcony rooms, etc. If they offered an upsell for sunlight, I'd go for it. Definitely ask for a room facing the front or a very high floor, otherwise its a dungeon. The lighting is very "artsy" in the bedroom and the hallways. It's a dark hotel. Being in the room, we could barely tell if it was day time or not. This is why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, the hotel was fine, bed was comfortable, hotel was clean.

I had visited this hotel before and forgot two major things: 1) the blackout curtains do not close well and leave a space next to a mirror which doubles the morning sun at 3 am in the summer and wakes you up - there’s nothing you can do except use an eye mask which is not preferable at a five star hotel, and 2) the shower head available in addition to the rainfall shower head is small and inconvenient. If you need to take shower with your hair done and not being able to use the rainfall head, good luck. The bathroom is also very ugly and looks like it’s from a cheap chain hotel. Makes you wonder how they can have five stars. Other than that, nothing to complain but definitely not worth the price point.

Two issues I had with the property was having issues and having to wait for an early check in after a very long flight. Second the ice machine on my floor kept having issues and some days it worked and some days it didn’t. Room didn’t get as cool as I wanted but lived with it. The room was amazing and loved the fruit basket with a personal letter written to me. Bed was large and roomy, and loved the bathroom with walk in shower. Room service kept room in great shape, and very quiet atmosphere.

The room was very nice and clean upon entry; the bathroom suite was tidy and had a great area for getting ready for my wife with the large light-up mirror. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view was beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a view of the busy courtyard. Our only complaints were that (because the hotel was fully booked, I assume this is the reason) the air conditioning and Wifi were both very sporadic throughout. The Wifi would stop working altogether quite often and we had to use our own personal mobile data to coordinate plans unfortunately with other family members. In regards to the air conditioning, despite the room feeling too warm at times, we phoned reception and requested a fan and they brought one up to us within 5 minutes. Every single staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful and they really made us feel welcome.

Rooms were clean and well appointed. Hallways were dark but in a stylistic way. Fabulous gym. Helpful staff (stored luggage and ordered reliable taxis to airport). Very close to both the Old Town and downtown with major shopping and restaurants.

This is a great hotel but had some problems - hallways are nearly black! Feels like a cave, not inviting. The fridge was broken for 5 days, no compensation except free ice from room service. Bed was ok, breakfast was fantastic.

The hotel's location is good, convenient to transportation and walking distance to gamla stan. However, the shower design is horrible: too small, and water runs all over the bathroom floor. They have a rooftop bar a couple of doors down and it's not really designed for hotel guests but for locals and the repetitive base from the loud music continues until the early hours of the morning making it hard to sleep.
