We rented the house for a week for a much needed pandemic getaway. The house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac. We had a great time hiking, watching movies, making s’mores and relaxing. Curtis was a great host. Thank you.

Very clean 3-level home with spacious bedrooms, lots of amenities, and an amazing hot tub. We would definitely book again. Great location in the rolling hills of Galena. Very short drive to downtown Galena.

The house definitely exceeded our expectations - the pictures don't quite do it justice. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was clean, modern, fun, roomy, comfortable and perfectly sufficient to ensure my family had a great time. The amenities that we enjoyed the most include the location, scenery, privacy, hot tub, game room, comfortable living room and high end bathrooms. It was a decadent / luxurious experience for sure and the owner was very helpful and accommodating. Will stay there again and again in our visits to this scenic paradise!!!

We stayed over Labor Day weekend at the house and loved it! There was plenty of room and sleeping space for 6 adults and 6 kids. There is a lot of room outside whether on the screened in porch or the outdoor porches. The house is in the heart of the Galena Territory and a short drive to the clubhouse and its pools. Plenty of fun inside the house as well with a foosball game and a full size arcade machine loaded with over 600 games from back in the day. Curtis was an excellent and responsive owner who was available the entire time. A great weekend and our whole family would recommend this house.

This property is great for a multi-family retreat with kids. Plenty of privacy with on suite bathrooms, and the lower level arcade game was a HUGE hit. Open kitchen/dining/loving room were perfect for large but informal family meals, and we even enjoyed the hot tub! It's close enough to the owners club to be a long walk for bigger kids but we had little ones with us so we drove. Kids and kids-at-heart all enjoyed the owners club pool. We had a few questions and the owners were very responsive! Would stay here again for a family or group gathering, any season.

Had my bachelorette party hosted here and it was amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful property as well as inside the house. Very cozy and homey feeling. Slept 12 of us. Only minor issue was finding the garbage place was kind of inconvenient. The address on the directions given had a different street number... so when we typed it in it brought us to someone’s house. We figured it out though!! All in all amazing stay and very happened I found this place. Owner is extremely nice and checked in with us to make sure all was well

Our group of 11 had a great stay at this home. We had excellent communication with the homeowners and enjoyed a thoughtful welcome basket upon our arrival, complete with info about the home and a few snacks to enjoy during our stay. A couple details that would make this property even better: bath mats for stepping onto after a shower, side table lamps for nighttime reading, and a few extra tools in the kitchen (tongs). Otherwise, we enjoyed the layout of this home and the Galena Territiries amenities.

This very inviting home had loads of room, plenty of privacy and was very family friendly when I vacationed here recently with my children and grandkids. We loved the hot tub, grill and fire pit at night and really appreciated the convenience of being so close to town to shop during the days! The Owners Clubhouse is very nice, it has indoor & outdoor pools and multiple activities for the kids plus it’s less than a mile away from the house. The house itself has so much living space with a screened-in porch, game room, large yard and two outdoor decks in addition to the 5 bedrooms. With the kids we ate in for breakfast and the kitchen is set up nicely & well equipped. Also worth mentioning that the laundry facilities are fabulous, so nice to go home from vacation with clean clothes for a change! I would highly recommend this property, my family loved their stay and is already checking their calendars about dates for next summer! Thanks for the memories!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything about the home was great.

A perfect house to enjoy time with our kids and grandkids. Plenty of room in the house for the ten of us. We took advantage of the hot tub, grill and pools. House is close to downtown Galena where we spent time enjoying the shops and wine festival.

Beautiful place. The beds and linens was incredibly comfortable. House was perfect for a group hangout, plenty of space to make meals and relax. The hot tub was awesome. Two minor things to mention for others who are looking to stay here: There is really only bed space for 10 people comfortably. We ended up having a friend able to join last minute which put us at 11 people and he had to sleep on a pad on the floor, not very comfortable. Other thing to note is that you have to take the trash and recycling to a place over a mile away. If you don’t take it there and leave any garbage in the house there is a fee of $50. Sort of a pain, especially since there is a cleaning fee in the original cost. These were really not an issue in our enjoyment of the house, just want others to be aware in case they are looking to stay with a larger group. We all would stay here again and would recommend for others.

Booking Woodland Estates was one of the best things we have done. Our couples’ group likes to go on vacations together and look around for places where the whole group can enjoy time together. There is also enough variety of things to do that smaller groups can explore their interests. This place fit the bill perfectly. Each of the five couples felt that they had comfortable bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms, and the shared areas were open and spacious. The passes to the Owners’ Club were used frequently by those who liked to swim and workout. Our friends who enjoy pickle ball were excited that courts were available. The pool and ping pong tables were also a lot of fun. Dining opportunities were plentiful with the Woodstone Restaurant close by and ample choices in Galena, just a short trip away. Preparing meals as a group is a favorite activity of ours and the setup in the kitchen/dining area was ideal for a large group. The kitchen was well stocked with new appliances and kitchen tools and the counter space made preparation easy. The views from inside along with the patio and 3 season room were breathtaking with the thick woods and wildlife. Sitting in the hot tub and enjoying the scenery was also a highlight. The surrounding area provided a wide variety of activities that our group enjoyed. The marina was used by the couple who brought their boat. We made good use of the elaborate trail system in the Galena Territories and in some of the surrounding wildlife areas. We were also impressed with the care that was put into making the home comfortable and eco-friendly. Everything in the house was in excellent condition and tastefully decorated. No one wanted to leave at the end of the stay because the setting and home were so serene and we all felt refreshed.

We all loved this beautiful up to date home. Everyone had a private bedroom with their own bathroom. We stayed with 3 other couples so this was perfect! House was fully stocked (which I wasn’t expecting) and Curtis was very accommodating and helpful! I highly recommend this rental home.

The house was perfect! Clean and well stocked. We love the large, open hangout space and kitchen with a screened in porch off the kitchen. Everyone was comfortable in their own rooms with bathrooms and we hung out on the deck and in the yard a lot. Curtis is above and beyond accommodating and friendly. He as available to answer and questions. We easily utilized the Captains Club facilities. We will be back!
