Breakfast was not included in the price and had to be bought separately. The dishes were enormous and good value for money.
Missing remote control for room TV and management unable to provide replacement.
Toilet didn't flush properly. Instead of getting it fixed manager just showed us a way of operating the handle to persuade it to work!
No room servicing. Just got your tea tray refreshed (if they remembered to do it).

Great value for money. Welcoming wRm friendly service.

Friendly staff; Comfortable clean room; Large bathroom; location in centre of town; just a 15 minute walk to Durham CCC cricket ground (which was the reason for my stay in Chester-le-Street). Have stayed here four or five times now. Always good value for money.
Bed wasn’t the most comfortable i have slept in but was perfectly fine for a two night stay. I slept well nevertheless.

Perfectly located just outside of Durham in the centre of Chester-le-Street. The manager and his staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and well equip, with king sized bed, sitting area, large TV (with DVD player), tea and coffee making facilities, large ensuite with bath and shower. The breakfast was fabulous and definitely worth setting yourself up with each day. Parking on site, made it so easy to unload cases without walking too far. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be staying there again!

Severely outdated, not clean, mattress needs burning, curtains paper thin, bath needs resealing, remote didnt work
Needs night staff to manage noise levels...i barely slept due to ignorant guests banging doors and talking in the hallway in the middle of the night for hours

it was very tired and the rooms although surface clean, it had not been decorated for a while. although relatively cheap, it still felt overpriced. the address on booking.com also sent us to the wrong address

Staff and food really good especially breakfast. The location perfect.
Sink plug too big so didn't fit causing water waste. The top of the solitary wardrobe was covered in dust as I found out when taking my suitcase down from it.

Room wasn't the cleanest , the walls were all marked and the shower is practically unusable if you are a larger person Purley because of where its positioned on the wall.
