Awesome house with great views. A couple minor house issues but not a big deal.

Absolutely gorgeous views from the back deck of a beautiful house. The location is great

This property was perfect for us! The spacious kitchen allowed us to easily prepare a Thanksgiving feast. It was the perfect location for my husband, daughters, sons in law
and me to explore wine country. The home was beautiful with absolutely stunning views. The sunrise over Mt. Hood is one I will never forget!
The home is very well stocked and the host was extremely helpful and responsive. She even left us a welcome gift which was a very nice touch!
We would not hesitate to stay here again!

The home was beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable for our stay. It’s an amazing home with a nice kitchen, lovely deck and movie room which we wish we’d had time to enjoy. The only recommendation for the future would be to have some lighter bedding options as the weather was a bit warm for the comforter on the bed. I recommend and hope to come back again.

The property was gorgeous. Everything was clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay! The listing and photos do not give this house full justice. The house is so nicely appointed, and the views are amazing. Such a great location, not far from downtown Newberg and within 20 minutes of so many great vineyards. Also, the boutique vineyard adjacent to the property is a great place to visit. We would definitely stay here again next time we come back to the Valley!

Thank you for an amazing slice of heaven! There were six of us college friends cellabrating our 40th college anniversary...Home was the perfect location with gorgeous views and lots of privacy! Lots of parking. Owners had fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of wine for our arrival- we couldn't be more happy with this modern home with all the special features. We hope to return someday soon!

The property with its incredible views and relaxing space was a joy to stay at. We would highly recommend this property for your Willamette stay.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location

We were 3 couples from the Midwest. 2 couples were staying there for the first time. My wife and I stayed at this house 5 years ago with a different group. We had high expectations based on our first stay, and this experience exceeded our expectations.
Communication with the owner was fantastic. The bedrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook big meals every night.
Last but not least, the views from the back deck are unparalleled. I can't explain the thrill we had of standing in one spot and seeing Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Rainier all with the naked eye. We can't wait to come back for Round 3!

Beautiful home with ever changing views as the clouds and fog shifted. The fireplace created the perfect ambience for dining and relaxation. The ping pong table and movie theater were perfect for rainy days. Great wine tasting and fantastic location!

We are 2 couples that have traveled to many areas of the US and almost always rent a house. We loved this house! It's been updated with so many nice features. The back scenery is wonderful. I would definitely recommend it!

Location was ideal beautiful home provided everything we needed. The only down side was we were not able to spend more time there. We pretty much left in the morning and got back in time for bed. Would very much recommend this location.

We had a fantastic time visiting the Willamette valley and this house was under an hour from Portland but also accessible to the valley and more. A definite place to be.

If you want a beautiful, well-appointed vacation home centrally located in the countryside of Newberg, don't hesitate to choose this one! The house is exceptionally clean with many areas--both inside and out--where you and your family/friends can gather. Our favorite was the media room with comfy recliners and a big screen TV and projection system.
Communication with the hosts couldn't have been better. Access to the house was so simple and efficient. The hosts helped us connect with a winery next door where we had an amazing experience chatting with the owner and tasting delicious wines.
While the location is centrally located in the Willamette Valley, the access road to the house is on a busy two-lane highway. It was not noisy at all, just not in a place where we could easily step out the door and go for walks.
All-in-all, our experience was wonderful!

Overall the stay was great. Our only issue was that the refrigerator was not working and the owner controlled the temperature in the house from afar and did not allow us to do that. That part was a little strange.

Rob and Cynthia's home is fabulous and the perfect place to stay - beautifully redone and an awesome deck with a wonderful view, on some days we could see Mt Hood, Mt St Helens and Mt Adams. Their home is so comfortable with many great locations to hang out and Rob and Cynthia were so helpful - we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again everytime!

We booked this location to be near my son’s wedding venue. Since it was 6 of us traveling for a week we didn’t want to stay in the hotel blocks that others did, instead we went with a more remote vacation style setting that was absolutely amazing on several different levels. The views were amazing and the home allowed enough space for us all to relax and enjoy the full week. Well appointed and decorated the home gave us convenience and seclusion wrapped into one package. Everyone in our party completely enjoyed the experience and would do it again in a heart beat. The whole experience provided us with family memories that will last a lifetime.

This was my second visit to Willamette Valley wine country and this home was perfect for our girls trip. Nice for gathering in the kitchen or on the large deck. Our VRBO hosts were very responsive to all our questions. The theater room was perfect for winding down in the evening. All in all...great stay!

An amazing property with tons of space, a great deck, and stunning views! My family of seven was very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the ping pong table, fire pit, and movie room!
Rob and Cynthia were terrific hosts and made the whole process very easy. Thanks very much for sharing your home!

The property is very nice and exactly as advertised. It is a few miles from Newberg on a winding road; however, we quickly adjusted to the drive and we were back at the house before dark each night. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you should need including several types of baking pans. Supplies for kitchen and baths are plentiful. We loved the deck on the back of the house; but found that it would have been nicer if there had been seat cushions and a table for dining with an umbrella. The morning sun and evening sun is very bright. The owners were very responsive and if I came back to this area I would certainly stay there again. We didn't use the movie room or the ping pong table but would have if children had been with us. We went to several lovely wineries. We enjoyed Stoller, Domaine Serene, Durant and a few others. There is a great restaurant near the house named South Store Cafe. They have brunch items Saturday and Sunday. Everything we had the three times we ate there was very good. And there is gift store, nursery, and berry farm across the street from the Cafe. Don't miss seeing the Spruce Goose in the Evergreen Aviation Museum. Its history is amazing. We enjoyed a festival in Newburg and one in McMinnville. Dining was it or miss throughout the Valley but that can be said of any part of the country. What we loved most......the temperature and the deck at the house!

We had a wonderful time! This property was well kept, clean, and had beautiful views of Mount Hood and Mount Saint Helens. The hosts were easily accessible if needed.

Great location and views, great hosts
The views off the deck were incredible! We spent a lot of our time enjoying there, cooking and sharing the fine wines that the area offered.
Why, we rated this property a 4 vs. 5? There were several things that we thought could use improvement and we felt impacted our overall stay.
We encountered several problems during our stay which were pretty major in our opinion. First of which was the refrigerator. It broke the 1st day we entered the house. Our hosts were quick to help and respond and brought coolers to chill our newly bought groceries, unfortunately it did not get up and running till the next day. We had to get our food and water from various coolers strewn around the kitchen area. Our ice cream did not survive but our hosts were kind enough to buy us some local ice cream that was delicious!
Also when we arrived into the house, the dishwasher was running and so was the dryer. We ended up putting away dishes and folding towels before we had even settled in.
The cleanliness of house was not the best and some rooms could have used more vacuuming and mopping as the floors still had pieces of rubbish. Unfortunately there was only 1 cleaner working the house when we arrived and we believe it was just too much for one person to clean such a large house in 5 hours after the last guests checked out. That being said, the VRBO site does mention that there will be a "Minimum 2-day vacancy between guest stays" so maybe these things could have been avoided.
Another major occurrence that impacted our stay, the electricity went out early afternoon in the area and we were affected. No refrigerator, again, lights (thankfully long daylight this time of the year) and most importantly, no water. We had no idea that the area uses well water and not a public water system. We are not familiar with water pumps and overall concept of well water mechanics. We continued to use the water during the outage until it stopped not knowing what was going on. Sad to say, toilets stopped flushing and showers could not be used. We had some very frustrated guests at that point. Power came back around midnight but the water did not. The next morning our host came by and was able to get the pump going.
It may be an idea to provide some kind of backup plan for this type of situations, like a generator backup.
Despite the issues, our hosts were outstanding and responded timely to all our texts.
We hope to return again someday.......

Fantastic house! Even better views!
Amazing property with plenty of space for all on our girl’s trip to Willamette Valley. The house is a large 4 bedroom with multiple large living spaces. The views of the neighboring vineyard and sunset over the valley are absolutely spectacular! Huge deck and patio with fire pit. The house is beautiful, and the setting even better. Close to Newberg for lots of good restaurants and wineries in all directions. Owners were super easy to work with. Everything met and exceeded our expectations. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommend this property! Will certainly be back when we visit this area again!

Relaxing and Beautiful Retreat
We had a lovely time during our stay. The owners were wonderful to work with, helpful and responsive. The house is beautiful, great layout and spacious so we could all be together but have privacy if needed. The views of the countryside were breathtaking and we had a wonderful time at Proteus Winery right down the road. The house was just far enough out of town to offer privacy and quiet but still convenient. Definitely recommend this for a ladies weekend or family getaway!

Great getaway location
This was my first time booking through VRBO. It was easy and seamless. Beautiful home and property. I would stay here again.

Wine Country Disappointment
Beautiful house in a very scenic location with very nice bedrooms to sleep 8 comfortably. However, the water pressure was minimal and if 2 were using it at once, it dribbled in the shower. Also, the water temperature swung dramatically, typically at the beginning of a shower, making it uncomfortable. Also, the internet was so slow as to make it practically unusable. In addition, the method to get me the key code was via text. Unfortunately, they had my home phone and I received no text on my cell phone. So, I was stuck outside the house with my travel companions not knowing if/when we were going to ever get in - a very uncomfortable situation. Fortunately, the owner responded to an email with the code. If the owner had not been available, I would have been very angry indeed.

Amazing property with beautiful views and close to a lot of great wine!
The house was as-advertised and everything we hoped for. We visited mostly to tour wine country and were not disappointed. The house is conveniently located to visit many amazing wineries. And the view off the back deck was a fantastic way to start the day with some coffee and end the day with some wine. Rob and Cynthia were very responsive and great to work with. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.

What a Place!!!
This home is spectacular and you cannot beat the view. Even a bottle of wine to greet you and the owners could not be more accommodating. I highly recommend this rental, however be ready for 5 miles of winding roads to get there.

This luxury home was more than we ever could have imagined for our trip. The amenities were top notch and very comfortable. Rob and Cynthia were wonderful to work with as they were great to communicate with and very friendly. We will definitely be reaching out to them to rent their house in the future! Highly recommend this listing

Amazing Property with a Fabulous View
The property is exactly how it looks in the photos and the sunset is even better!!! It is a beautiful house with 4 good sized bedrooms, nice bathrooms and a fun downstairs with a movie room and ping pong. We took advantage of all of it. The kitchen is fully stocked with supplies as well, so if you choose to cook on property (we did not!) you will have everything you need.
Only other feedback worth noting is to get this great house with a great view, you do have to travel 10-15 minutes up a switch-back road which for some of us after a day of drinking was not an easy feat. But it worth it!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Wonderful!
A few girlfriends and I rented this property for 3 nights for a girls' getaway. The pictures really don't do it justice; it was magical. We were able to spot many mountain ranges and enjoyed just drinking coffee on the deck for hours each morning. Rob and Cindy were great to work with and very responsive. Couldn't recommend this place enough! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!
