The indoor environment of this house is as pictured, and nice and clean. The house was well stocked and comfortable, and the owner is kind and communicative. The house is conveniently located near the train station, and an easy walk to nearby shopping and restaurants. This property is adjacent to an industrial area under con construction, which makes is quite noisy, particularly in the front bedrooms. Also, the front door area was littered with garbage, which is not in the control of the owner in any way, but detected from our general experience.

Cambridge English Dictionary defines “oasis” as “a calm, pleasant place in the middle of somewhere busy and unpleasant.” When we drove up next to a block of 7 townhouses in a row—1 of which was our VRBO rental—my wife took one look at the bags of garbage and litter left on the adjoining sidewalk by the other townhouses, and said “buy us out of here to a nice hotel.” As she later agreed, that would have been a mistake given how lovely this VRBO is. The area is quite busy in terms of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, because it is on a street which is one of the few bridges across the River Taff leading into the City Center from the West. (Maybe it would not have been so busy and crowded had we not happened to unknowingly chose to show up the day after Taylor Swift performed in town.) A 10-15 minute walk takes you to the City Center. The castle is .7 miles, and a fine walk. The area where the rental unit is located appears to be in the midst of gentrification. Two nearby high rise developments are under construction. Please, do not judge this book by its cover. If you take the time to look at the facades of the seven townhouses, as I did, you will note that the hosts have done their best to keep their unit in good shape. And the inside is an oasis. Everything is neat, clean and in good shape. The appliances are modern. There is plenty of hot water. The friendly hosts left us a welcome present of beer, sparkling wine, orange juice and milk. There are plenty of

Brilliant house and location
Brilliant house and location
Used the house for a group trip away and could not have been more impressed with the house. The location was excellent so we could park the car up and not worry about needing it again. The house was warm and comfortable and very well stocked with plenty of kitchen appliances to cater for a large group, they had thought of everything! The hosts were brilliant at communicating so we felt prepared when we arrived. We would certainly use this house again for future large group bookings. They would also be very well set up to cater for families!
