The grounds and landscaping as a golf course were immaculate.
Presentation of the hotel was poor. The rooms were dated and in need of an upgrade. The service was poor. Waiting for drinks, the breakfast was cold and minimalistic in nature. The spa facilities were from 1970’s. Three chairs and four loungers all taken with nowhere to sit. Overall not what we were expecting of a four star Spa and Resort.

Very comfortable room, superb bed and spacious.

The views from the bar and restaurant were sensational. Lovely hotel really enjoyed it.
Drinks prices were astronomical. Also we were questioned by staff at breakfast. We paid on arrival but apparently the message didn't get passed to the dining room. A little uncomfortable.

Out of the way surrounded by countryside.
Wifi not great!

Lovley room and location
Breakfast a little chaotic - I never did get any coffee the 2 mornings I stayed there. One gentleman fell down the step to the buffet (sign was put there later on to mind the step). The next day two guests pulled the serving trays onto the floor while trying to close the lids. No issues with staff or food.

The Reception Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean.
Our Saturday (27th January) morning Breakfast was really poor. We had to constantly chase the serving Staff for clean glasses and for the orange juice container to be filled up. We had to repeatedly ask for our coffee and tea. We then had to chase staff twice for milk. The coffee and tea was cold on arrival. We asked for more coffee and tea which never came. We had to go and find serving staff to come and take our order for our cooked breakfasts. When it did eventually arrive it was cold. There were no supervisory staff to be seen to oversee the restaurant, which was not overly busy at 9.30am on Saturday 27th January. When we got back to the hotel late on Friday night all 16 (6 + 10 reserved) Electric Car Park spaces were occupied by non-electric cars. The car park was busy but not full. As I had an EV that needed charging this was really inconvenient and annoying. This was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. The main sauna was not working and had not been working all week according to the members. The second smaller sauna was full to overflowing and we had to queue to use it. Bar prices and the drinks with dinner were very pricey and not good value for money.

The spa facilities were lovrly
Restaurant was a little expensive

Amazing facilities in a beautiful location!
9/10 rather than 10/10 as bar closed surprisingly early so we were unable to get a drink after returning from our event.

Absolutely gorgeous

The room size, coffee machine, balcony, quientness.
When its busy the staff cannot cope and look unhappy. Breakfast was good but the bar staff in the evening are very inexperienced for a 4 star hotel. They were unable to answer if they had any New Zealand wines. The room upgrade was good but the balcony was filthy dirty and had not been swept for many months, the window's were also dirty. We spent over £14 for some pate and chips, the chips were cold and we only received one piece of un toasted bread for a large piece of pate, thats not enough bread, as mentioned before it was far too busy to complain as the staff were not coping.

Breakfast was good, comfy bed

great location, comfy beds, reception staff are lovely and couldn’t try any harder to make your stay better.
the hotel is getting grubby, carpets could do with a good clean, glass doors need cleaning daily, walls all marked,it needs a fresh coat of paint and a good deep clean, breakfast needs to be available from 6.30am on a weekend for those working at the race track.

Beautiful location, bedroom was a good size and use of the pool was great. The staff were very welcoming in all areas. The package overall wasn’t too bad for the price.
The food was a little underwhelming. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles as there didn’t seem to be any organisation on how to order, get coffee etc

Breakfast was lovely
I didn't like the fact that the hairdryer set on fire in the room and they didn't do anything only put us a new hairdryer in. They didn't even give us a voucher for a free meal. My daughter and her friend was very distressed

The view from the hotel were fantastic, the rooms spacious and public rooms also spacious. The staff when you could find one were friendly and able.
The room was clean and kept clean. Breakfast this morning was OK, the Croissants were not fully cooked and the centre raw. For dinner I order a ceaser salad and had to ask for some of the advertised components of the meal after it was delivered to my table
I noticed that a beer stain from beer I inadvertantly spilt were still on the table 24 hours later, I was first in breakfast this morning and there were glass rings on the table I sat at.
Often public areas were left unattended and staff were generally hard to find

good location, peaceful, excellent breakfast
pool overcrowded and quite chilly

Relatively Modern and spacious
Short staffed, poorly trained
Called hotel on way there to book resturant and got no answer from reception despite staying on hold for 10 minutes.
Arrived to no one in reception. a phone there with a note to call for assistance.
Went to resturant to be told its full and sorry you should have booked!
Hotel busy with guests. kids running up the corridors at gone 1130pm shouting and screaming. Drunk guests leaving the bar walking up corridors laughing and joking and then noise in their rooms till gone midnight.

dusty, food was awful, shocking room service food ie missing items, did not include at time off booking children would be using the pool (not even a bit the whole pool) so not morning swim- sent a messaged and they replied moments before check out. felt really uncomfortable with the spa/gym staff I have a skin condition and felt like I was being started at. then we got shown around for the wedding as the receptionist said would we want too I said yes but thought it wouldn’t come off as didn’t want to be rude. less than 5 minutes in the room we got a call to see if we were coming. didn’t even get settled in. as we are newly engaged that’s what the night away was for. after this stay there is no chance I’m afraid.

Spa facilities where lovely.
We couldn’t get a table in the restaurant, then couldn’t order food in the bar as the restaurant was full. We were eventually able to order and breakfast wasn’t very hot.
